Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Louella nosed at Lorah's ruddy tortoiseshell pelt, trying (and, of course, failing) to find a source of milk. She was not even a moon old and found herself abruptly without her mother. She did not have much memory of what life was like before she had been stolen away, but she did know that she had never been quite so hungry. Frustrated, she began to cry out, pawing at Lorah's side more urgently, "I'm hungry, I'm hungry!"
She was a little cinnamon-and-cream fluff-ball with a pink ribbon tied around her neck. Her bow would remind any proper League cat of Innocentia's trademark attire, but this one was smaller and a few shades brighter than the proxy's. It was surely a present from the twolegnest she was unceremoniously plucked from. Louella had no idea that her life was forever changed; she was no longer destined to be a pampered kittypet, but a "bloodthirsty killer," to quote the opening statement.
Heloise-kun huffed at her younger sister slash litter mate. She was four months old and had been taken nearly a month ago. She remembered her kittypet life or at least bits of it. To be honest she couldn’t really complain about her current situation. The food here was much better and there seemed to be more activities. Of course it was a bit colder and sometimes wet. But overall much better, no ridiculous frills she was forced to wear or little toys she was supposed to not shred.
This lynx point oriental was fast on her way to becoming a bloodthirsty killer. She had just been promoted to a punishment trainee. She was a bit young perhaps but she had begged anyone who would listen to her that she was old enough to use her claws. So far she was thriving in her new role. Clearly this was much better than being stuck as a pampered house cat.
Louella turned around and face her biggest sister with pale blue saucers for eyes. Sure, Heloise was a kit, but maybe she would be able to find her something the eat; Lorah had yet to be very forthcoming, "Hewoise, I'm hungry," she cried, nosing at the lynx point she-cat's side, "Can you bring me something? Please"
Heloise looked down at her sister, Louella was so tiny and kind of useless. Yet Heloise supposed she had to help her out, family probably meant something. “I guess.” She huffed, not really sure how much she was supposed to care for her family. They weren’t truly related but Lorah seemed to insist that they were family. She managed to find the small prey pile that occasionally existed. She selected some sort of large rodent thing. It smelled fresh enough. Carrying it back she dropped it in front of Louella. “Here it is, eat up.” She settled down a few steps away to groom her light colored pelt.
"Thanks! How do you eat it?" Louella poked at the prey, not at all afraid of it, but definitely unsure. She had not even been close to weaned from her mother when Lorah unceremoniously snatched her up. It was totally foreign to her. Furry, fleshy, maybe just a little foul. The little cinnamon tabby sat down and looked to Heloise for more direction, unsure how to proceed, although her claws were unsheathed like she was starting to get the idea, "Is there milk in there? Am I supposed to tear it up to get it?"
"Uh, you just chew on it." She frowned a little, a bit confused. Then it struck her, she had seen the mothers break the skin for their kittens. So in what was meant as a caring action, she slit open the belly of the rodent. Heloise leaned in herself to take a bite. It wasn't spoiled but it was not exactly the freshest thing ever, but no one left good stuff in the prey pile around here. Heloise would have to go out and figure out how to hunt soon, her little sister probably couldn't live on scraps. Plus it was not like Lorah was going to dote on them, he seemed in his own little world.
Louella watched Heloise take a bite with disgust. She had been a kittypet before her abduction and had never seen anything quite so savage as this. Her stomach growled, though, and she wasn't about to starve. Reluctantly the small kit leaned forward and took a bite. Chewy, but moist. She swallowed it and took another bite. It didn't settle super well but she hadn't realized how hungry she really was until that second bite. Louella crouched down over the prey and started eating it like a wild animal, hissing all the while, basically saying 'this is mind, stay away' to Heloise and Lorah.

( Oh yeah... this thread exists.. Hiya. )
Well, of course Lorah didn't invade. Maybe because he'd fallen asleep, whoops. It was only the hissing that awoke the tom, and he let out a slight yawn, blearily watching Louella as she tore into the prey. "Eat like a lady!" He gasped, looking absolutely disgusted by the young she-cat, to the point he snatched away the prey without a second thought, even still being half asleep. "You're going to get yourself all dirty, and that's not how you behave." He chided, quickly beginning to regain his senses.
Louella gave Lorah a pretty fierce hiss when he took away the prey. She was all floofed out, big blue eyes clouded and hangry, and swiped a couple times at the piece in an attempt to get it back. She was incredibly cute and fluffy but eerie now that she was covered in blood. Someone would need a bath for sure, "Daddy, why did you take it away? I'm still so hungry! I'll sit pretty next time I eat, promise."
Heloise frowned at her father, yes she looked up to him but he was also a terrible father. Unconsciously Heloise decided she would take care of her younger sister. It was perhaps out of character for her, someone who really did not care for others. Her little primadonna of a sister was an irritant she was just not going to get rid of. “Well she has to eat and you clearly were doing anything.” She hissed. Heloise would not beg, that was beneath her.
