Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
A soft heat beat down from the sky with the pale light of the morning sun, warming the pelt of a large white tom as he strolled casually through territories he did not belong in, after making the same trip for a few days now and learning the safest way through he was no longer attempting to keep himself hidden. The overly-sized feline had a strong scent of the Regime, laced with Dayclan, since the Regime was currently staying with the clan while their tunnels were fixed, now though, he was in Sunclans land with only one thing on his mind; Flawedperspective. "Darlin', are you here?" His voice rang out in a soft draw as he neared their usual meeting spot.
(Are we tagging Honey in this thread later when we're ready for her?)
Small, quiet, brown agouti tabby seated within their secrete spot. She'd been here a while, made herself comfortable and yet knew she would not need to wait long for the tom to show. He hadn't missed yet, and had yet to be late, or at least not so late that she felt he wasn't going to show. Flawedperspective would wait all night though, just to see if he'd show. It was a flaw of hers, as she'd been told. Patience was only for the weak, not even mothers had it for their kits these days. But just like her patience was never-ending, so was her naivety. This poor she-cat had never left her clan's territory, let alone to a gathering. Therefore she knew not the scents of other clans, but she could recognize the ones of the Pride alliance as all Pride cats could. "I'm here, my dear." Just as she always would be, even if he chose to not show.
Even as he called out he knew she would answer, as if waiting all day for him to arrive, something he quite enjoyed the thought of. As he moved into the open so their eyes could meet, he let a charming smile pull the corners of his mouth, his amber eyes taking her in as he drew closer. Of course he had realized after meeting with her a few time that he didn't have any true feelings for her, but she didn't need to know that, he had come to enjoy this as a way to pass the time and it was clear she had already attached herself to him in some way. "You look lovely, Flawedperspective." He was not lying, she was a beauty, but not entirely his cup of tea aside from a fling.
Flawedperspective blushed, staining her cheeks a deep red at his..charming comment. She never could handle those, though she'd only received them one other time and that relationship had fizzled out. "Th-thank you. I..you're..you're dreamy....." She hoped he didn't find her too forward, or awkward, or..or too much. Confidence wasn't something she'd ever had, who would with a name like hers. "Would..would you like to join me?" She moved over a little, making room besides herself hoping he'd take a seat. Her tail wrapped itself back around her paws, twitching in nervousness as it always did around him, even after all this time.
"Sweet words from a sweet lady." He winked at her, walking to her side before settling beside her, his white pelt brushing her side slightly. "Is this alright darlin'?" He knew it would be, but the question still came as he curled his tail behind her. He was pleased to see her reactions to his words and actions, knowing she was practically wrapped around his paw already.
"O-of course!" She couldn't deny him anything, just she hadn't been able to when she was seeing Indigosight. While the two may have fizzled out and Indigosight called it off, she still enjoyed the times spent together. Just as she was enjoying herself now. Flawedperspective couldn't help but purr. "How have you been?"
He was happy with how submissive she was, but knew eventually her clingy ways would begin to irritate him to the point he would no longer be able to stand it... Still he would enjoy the time he had before that happened. "Things are a bit weird, im adjusting and being a new place while the Regimes home is fixed has not helped, the only good thing in my life at the moment is you." She glanced at her from the corner of his eye. "Thats enough about me though, love, I do hope you've been doing well?"
The Regime? Flawedperspective hadn't been aware that her lover was from there. She'd always believed him to just be a loner, not a regime cat! A little frightened at the thought she paused. The idea of fleeing sounded better as the moments passed, but her heart was still attached even if her mind was telling her no. "It's..it's been a challenge. I had a visitor the other day in the sunflower field." She could remember her discussion with Lovesmitten and his new family. The irony was that it'd been about love and family, something she'd always longed for. But look at her now, conversing, loving on a regime cat. They were basically SunClan's sworn enemy!
It took a moment before Ignatius realized his mistake, it was the first time he had mentioned being in the regime, it was a slip and he silently cursed himself for allowing it to happen; up until now he had simply been a loner, and now he had to figure out a way to get the she-cats mind away from what he had said, he could see fear glistening in her eyes and he couldnt have that. "Flawedperspective, will you join me for a walk?" He looked down at her with a hopeful smile, he had to distract her enough so that him being in the Regime didn't matter.
Flawedperspective tried to ease her troubled mind, to dismiss the thought, but still, it remained in the back of her mind. This tom was a regime cat. The same group that'd tortured her mother without remorse and sent her back a shell of herself. How hadn't she noticed before? "I..I think I should be heading home. Mother will be waiting for me." It was an excuse, as she knew her mother wouldn't be waiting for her. She never was, so why would now be any different. Flawedperspective had hoped to share the news to her family that she'd finally found a lover, one she could persuade to join the clan as a full SunClan cat. Increasing their ranks with both a new member and in the future kits. But now, that all just blew up in front of her. Showing her she'd once again proven how much of a failure she was.
Frustration gripped the tom, but he hid it behind a convincing look of defeat and sadness. "I was hoping to spend more time with you, I just got here." He lowered his eyes to the ground and let out a sigh. "Have I done something to make you angry, i'm sorry if i did." He placed his amber eyes on her once more, and pressed his cheek against hers gently. He knew why she was trying to run, even in his short time with the regime he had learned about the conflict between them and Sunclan, but it was strange that he wasnt the one running, yet at least.
Flawedperspective froze, her words coming out of her ina stuttering mess. "No! O-of course not. I mean..no there's..You've been nothing but kind...and I've...." How did she explain the distrust between their two clans? Didn't he understand? Her mother had been their prisoner. Sure he didn't realize she was a daughter of Foxbane, but not many remembered that small little info as it was. Eyes wide as she tried to reassure him that it wasn't him, but also unable to find the words to express herself.
He had no choice at this point, he had made the slip and revealed where he lived and although he had been a loner not long before he had given up that part of his life. He knew of the tension between Sunclan and the Regime but that had only pushed him to do keep this up, he liked the danger of it. Ignatius didn't move away from Flawedperspective even though the mood had been twisted, no longer light and warm it was now stiff and wreaked of tension.
(oh Honeystorm dearest! Phantom and I are paging you for dear ol' Foxbane to show up!)
Flawedperspective sighed. "I must truly be going. I...I'm sorry." The tabby practically ran out of there. Sickness rubbled in her stomach, reminding her of the mistake she'd made. yet another for her mother to hate her for. Dear Sun God, could she just make the right choice for once! Nearly home, she lost her dinner. While she'd been sick as of late, she'd not truly lost her meal. Part of her hoped it was the anxiety and fear of what she'd just learned, but knew it was the fear of being caught before she was ready to share her little secret. The secret of her lover, who she'd just learned was her enemy. Had she'd been cursed to fail? Was that why she'd never succeeded in finding love? Many times she'd convinced herself the opposite, but part of her, that same part the made her sick now from fear, knew it was true. She had to be cursed, it was the only explanation.
