Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Beedust's return to camp was a quiet triumph, steadied by her peace of mind in the choice. Formerly Bee, the new warrior had been gone for several moons, through a painful separation from Thistlemask, now Thistlestar. The ex-loner had grown in the time, and returned ready to fully commit to the clan. Thistlestar had given her her new chosen name, which she was still adjusting to. She had seen several familiar faces in passing, including Yarrowsong, but she had yet to sit and talk with any of her old acquaintances for any substantial length of time.
But now things had calmed again, and the small ginger warrior was relaxing by the den, having just finished her hunting patrol. She often cast glances towards Thistlestar, but kept a friendly distance for the time being. She didn't want anyone thinking she had rejoined just because of her feelings, nor did she want special treatment. Beedust wanted to earn her way into the clan, staking her own claim in the group.
"Beeeeeeeeeeedust!" A loud yowl broke from across the camp at the camp entrance. It was loud enough to gain the attention of most if not all the cats in the clearing. A bright ball of white fur bounded forward like a bullet. Before the ginger she-cat could fully react, the white body came crashing into Beedust, causing the two body to roll away in a plume of dust. At the end, Yarrowsong ended up onto of Beedust, pinning her into the dirt below. The dual colored eyes were bright with anticipation and glee. In the mists of Bee's disappearance, Yarrowsong had often wondered what had happened to her friend. The two had only begun to build their relationships short before she disappeared. "I missed you!" She chimed cheerfully, her tail swishing around excitingly.
Softpelt had been away for a time in FallClan, and admittedly upon returning with Fawnheart and rising to being the medicine cat apprentice, the fluffy white she cat hadn't really taken the time to reconnect with her clanmates.
She had been sorting herbs when she started at Yarrowsong's yowl. Taking a moment to compose herself the she cat poked her head out of the den and slipped out. "What's all the excitement about Yarrowsong?" She asked tilting her head. Apparently Yarrowsong was familiar with this cat. And Softpelt, vaguely recalled Thistlestar naming this she cat 'Beedust' at a recent clan meeting. But her mind had admittedly been mostly elsewhere.
Beedust rolled with Yarrowsong's playful attack, the wind getting knocked out of her as the impact hit. "Oof," she grunted, giving Yarrowsong a small smile as she was pinned. "I missed you too. Was this necessary? I was just settling in for a nap." With a quick wiggle, the short-haired ginger extracted herself from the white she-cat. She stood, giving Softpelt a introductory nod. "Hello. I'm Beedust. Formerly Bee. I was here a few moons ago but I left for personal reasons. I don't think we've met, but that's why Yarrowsong is so excited."
"Ah, you must've left before I returned," Softpelt said. "I'm Softpelt, I'm the medicine cat apprentice. It's so nice that you have come back. I know the allure of SpringClan all too well. I've always found my way back home one way or another, when I've had to leave."
"It's nice to meet you," Beedust responded, with a genuine smile. "Hopefully I won't have to leave again. There's a lot of things keeping me here. You know, I've heard about your position but never seen it in action. The loner group I was a part of before had no healers. Do you treat cats frequently?" Beedust had suffered minor scrapes and bruises in her young life, but had always been forced to tough it out, letting it heal naturally. She was curious as to how effective the herbal treatments really were.
Yarrowsong giggled shamelessly, shrugging at Bee "You know me, sometimes I just get excited, so much so I have to let it out somehow!". She shook out the dust in her pelt, glancing up at Softpelt's entrance with a beaming smile. "Good morning Softpelt!" She spoke up in a sing-song tone.
"Oh Springclan only has the best of the best Medicine Cats!" Yarrowsong interrupted confidently, beating the medicine cat at a response.
(sorry been sick ) "Oh you flatter us Yarrowsong, though Fawnheart is truly StarClan sent, she's a brilliant Medicine Cat I'm fortunate to work with her." Softpelt said with a light laugh before refocusing on Beedust, "And for your question I treat many things. Since Fawnheart and I have grown as medicine cats and are both fully trained, though I will always defer to her as the one with more experience, we are also seeking alternative medicines so we don't risk expending too many valuable herbs when there might be other solutions." Softpelt purred. "I love my work. It brings me much joy to see cats getting better under my watch and care."
(aw, feel better!) "Fawnheart speaks well of you, too." Beedust said, smiling. "I spent some time with her the other day. I helped her with her herbs, and I enjoyed it so please let me know if you ever need help gathering them. It's more fun to me than fighting or practicing." She did love hunting though, being gifted at it, but fighting was challenging for her. "I'm free most days after I finish hunting."
