Wind Horoscope: Your rhythms may be low today, so you might not be feeling quite up to par. This could make you feel restless and a little blue. Surround yourself with flowers or other colorful objects, and spend some time focusing on your own health.
This was an unexpected break for the fluffy orange tom. Resting in a large field of flowers wasn't in the cards, the smell tended to upset his stomach nowadays. But the horoscope wasn't wrong. Now that he was an apprentice, he was less sickly. But that didn't stop the side effects from hitting him like a ton of bricks. His muscles tend to spasm and his legs would buckle underneath him. And while flowers were out of the question, he found some peace in the lake. Sitting underneath the bright sun, the water and rocks twinkled with all sorts of colors. He didn't expect anyone to approach him, least not here.

LITTLESTAR
SUNCLAN HIGH PRIESTESS
Littlestar had not spent much time with the young cat before her. Since becoming the High Priestess her duties kept her rather busy, and it was difficult to find time to spend with each cat individually. Spying the young cat lying out by the lake, she approached looking over his shoulder into the water below. "It's a beautiful day to take in the sun's rays" she purred approvingly. While most leaders discourage such down time, in SunClan basking in the sun was common and encouraged. Not only did it help improve the mental health of the clan, but it was seen as a way to honor the Sun God.

Burningpaw couldn't help but jump a little, old habits dying hard as he leapt to his feet and spun around, water cascading everywhere as he met Littlestar's gaze. "Ah, High Priestess." Burningpaw bowed his head, glad he was able to call someone other than his mother that. The motion was a little too quick as he suddenly realized what he did. The orange tom barely even felt how soaked his pelt was when he saw the few drops on Littlestar's pelt, "I'm so sorry Littlestar. It was an accident." A swell of panic overcame the apprentice but for some reason, he couldn't move. His eyes settled on darting around, like he was looking for a towel or something.

LITTLESTAR
SUNCLAN HIGH PRIESTESS
Most cats would have expected her to react with anger, but instead a light laughter filled the air. Littlestar might have studied under Foxstar, but the new High Priestess was much kinder and understanding. She was slow to anger, usually only expressing such when her clan or family was in danger. "You are forgiven, my kits smudge the designs on my pelt worse than that several times a day" she couldn't hide the amusement in her gaze, even though she also felt rather sorry for him. She had seen the way Foxbane had treated her children.. punishing them for even the smallest of offences. It was wrong. She couldn't do anything about it then, but now that she was High Priestess she could try to make amends and form connections with them.
"It was about time to clean them from my pelt anyway, perhaps you would like to join me for a swim?"

Burningpaw's gaze darted to the High Priestess as her laughter brought his attention back to her. What was she laughing at? Him probably. It made his gaze harden just a little even though his little display deserved it. His guts curled in a familiar shame, which only made his paws itch in anger. Then she forgave him, and he could only look away. Getting ahead of himself like usual, especially since he couldn't quite figure out her tone. Sure, her kits do that, but they are kits. He was an apprentice, he wanted those kit days behind him. "Uh sure." He at least knew how to swim thanks to Castawaykit's rafts always breaking.

LITTLESTAR
SUNCLAN HIGH PRIESTESS
"Good" she purred, as she waded into the cool waters. The water around her began to turn brightly colored, but only for a moment as the current carried away the old paint down the river. Even though she still feared drowning, she always left the water feeling more refreshed than when she had entered "I would rather let the river clean my pelt, its a lot faster than trying to do it myself" she mused before ducking under the water to clear the last of the paint from her head. The fire that was once emblazened there faded away to grey

Burningpaw didn't have as much paint on himself, most was on his paws and had already washed away. The cool water cut right through his thick orange pelt as he waded further and further into the lake before he couldn't feel the bottom anymore. The usual panic settled on him, with how weird the water felt on his skin. But he pushed through it though. Red remnants of flames were gone, and he stuck his head underwater and opened his eyes. Unable to see anything, he poked his head out again. "Are you going to do a new design now that that one is gone?"

LITTLESTAR
SUNCLAN HIGH PRIESTESS
"Once my fur dries" She murmered simply enjoying the feeling of the cool water wash over her. "Skipstep usually does my designs, however he will be tired from watching our kits while I was gone. I would ask Jetclaw, but she is still injured" she paddled around closing her eyes for a moment.

"Hmmm..." Burningpaw didn't know a lot of artistic cats. Sure, Vibrantpaw helped him with his' but they were just along his feet and legs. Nothing like the immaculate paint that Littlestar wears. And he didn't want to put his friend on the spot like that. "If you like one color, I'd do it." He joked, jumping back to usual form quickly as he rolled onto his back, floating along the water's surface.

LITTLESTAR
SUNCLAN HIGH PRIESTESS
"I might have to take you up on that offer" she laughed light-heately "I'm sure most of the clan would be shocked if I started walking around with only one color. It would be sure to cause a stir..." she mused over it, imagining the faces of her clan-mates trying to figure out if she was sick or something along those lines any way. "Speaking of stirs, I did want to speak to you about something... How are you holding up since Foxbane retired and became a senator? It was a shock to everyone "

Burningpaw didn't expect her to humor him. Guess he had a lot to learn. He didn't even want to think about the stir of Littlestar walking around all yellow and everyone pointing their paws at him. The one with the brush. For as much as he tried to thrive in rebellion, it was only with her. Everyone else, he was a little afraid. It made his stomach flip. Burning's ear cocked at the second question, unintentionally letting water in. Floundering some, he flipped off of his back and shook his head vigorously to get it out. "Well..." It was a strange question to answer. Not that he hadn't answered before, just that he always gave a different answer. No one could deny what Foxbane did to this litter of kits, his brothers and sisters and him. Most of the time, he was glad she had stepped down. It gave him some glimmer of hope that the suffering wouldn't last forever. Struggling some to get his feet back under him, he responded, "Better. It was a shock, but it was also a long time coming. Not that I'm telling you anything new."

[attr="class","box2"]Seeing the tom begin to flounder, she moved forward to assist but he had already regained his balance in the water as she neared. Relaxing lightly, she nodded. "Yes, she had been struggling for a while before she stepped down" she had spent many moons before that day as the leader in all but name. She couldn't help but feel like she had taken over leadership of the clan from the moment the renegade regime had captured her, leaving the young and unprepared priestess promised to try and fix all of Foxbane's mistakes.
"but everyone knows that. My concern is you and your litter-mates. You have been through a lot, more than a cat your age should have to face" she to had a difficult childhood, but had turned out alright thanks to Singedwolf. Even if Foxbane's kits wanted nothing to do with her, she had to try. To reach out to them even if they didn't need her. To show them that someone cared, that someone was watching out for them... even if it was from a distance.
"I supposed I just wanted you to know that you can talk about it with me, or whatever else is on your mind" she paused, giving him a moment. She had seen the harsh way that Foxbane had disciplined her kits. Even though she hadn't been able to do anything then, now she wasn't bound to Foxstar's words. Burningpaw considered it. Talking out his issues? He normally just broke things till he felt better. Or ran away. You know, the usual things you do when you get mad. There was so much. The person he confided in most was Darkcomplex, his mentor. Somehow, he had managed to turn Burningpaw into a good warrior in most aspects. "I don't know. I'm not the kind to think too deeply into things." That somehow was earned, Burning wasn't very book smart and only decently people smart. Everyone else around him was always full of conspiracies and betrayals, he found it easier to just ignore all of it. "I guess if anything bugs me... it's that I wished I could go into the soothsayer's den without throwing up." Herbs bothered him so much, he now had to avoid getting hurt at most costs.
