Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"So, you said that you'd be one of the ones that would help me not uh get murdered by these cats? And that you'd share trade secrets with me?" She seemed amused by even the prospect. Well, maybe not the prospect of needing support as to not get murdered, but then again, it was sort of fun to have to watch her back. It put a little pep in her step to know that once again cats wanted her dead. It was mostly a big game to her, but then again, everything was. She liked it when the stakes were high anyways, and what higher stakes could there be than life or death?
She looked at the cat in front of her. Kaisa? Kairsa? Carpool? She couldn't quite remember her name, despite the fact that she should have committed each name of anyone who vaguely was willing to support her to memory. After all, two names wasn't that hard. But, here she was. Maybe Mystie was right- she was terrible with names. Either way, whatever her name was, she was one of Gossamer Alessandra's only allies, which made her increasingly important.

"Yep, so long as you have me, or another Sentinel around, you'll be fine. My mom probably won't kill you if she thinks it would make me too upset. And if you have her support, you'll keep the rest of the Regime in line. She usually is crazy duty bound though, so it won't be too much of an issue. Our family has largely held power in the Regime for seasons. My dad, Sean, one of the Sentinels, is a former commander. The commander before Raijin was Mars, my cousin on my mom's side. Aunt Roon, the Raiser Superior, is my mom's sister, and she spends a lot of time with Chaman Meepo. Obviously I'm in the family, and Spy Coriander is one of Mars' kits. I'm sure that's a lot of names to remember, don't worry about it too much, you'll get it eventually. Point is, if there's anyone you want in your good graces, it's my family, because we have pretty much held every single position in the Regime at one point in time. But, let's go back to the basics." Kaisra took a breath, bouncing along without a care at Gossamer's side, casually leading her through the tunnels.
"The positions, to start with. You're Commander, but you knew that. Under you are the Mercenary and Scout Superiors, one of whom will succeed you. That's Shule and Mysterium. They oversee the Mercenaries and Scouts respectively. Mercenaries are fighters, Scouts are hunters. On the healing side, there's the Chaman, Meepo. Closest connection with the Blind Protector, who is, well, basically the founder guy of this place. The Chaman is like a medicine cat, in principle. Then there's the Raiser and Guider Superiors, Roon's the Raiser Superior. Oversee the Raisers and Guiders, obviously. Raisers are essentially glorified babysitters and help with the birthing process. Guiders are strictly healers. Us Sentinels are there to protect you, the Commander, and the Chaman. Spies, well that should be pretty obvious. They spy within and outside the group, gathering dirt on other clans and sniffing out potential rebellions within. That's the main things, for the positions. Again, don't worry too much. The Superiors will keep the day to day running as a whole, all on their own. Which should give you enough time to figure the rest out. Buut, that's all the boring stuff. And I'm sure you're falling asleep on me, because I would be. Have you been to all the posts? If not, I can show you. Fun Regime fact. These tunnels go everywhere in the clans. And I do mean everywhere. A lot are unused, but if you want to go visit another clan, all you have to do is find the right tunnels. It's really fun to pop up from some unused fox-hole right into another clan's territory. The best part is they usually can't find the way back. It's easy to get disoriented in the tunnels if you aren't used to them, even if you're following a scent."

"And, will it make you too upset for her to kill little ol' me?" she asked, batting her eyelashes at Kaisra. She couldn't help herself, even though she knew she probably shouldn't actively flirt with her body guard on the first day. But, that was alright, the other cat would learn to ignore her antics quickly or she'd play right along. She wanted to test her to see which she'd pick, probably. She then tipped her head as the cat explained her lineage. A smile flicked at her lips. It was a familiar story to her own; a family that knew everyone and had kept power in its paws for generations. Enigma, Genesis, Shae, Serpentinestar, Xeadas, Everlastingstar, Kiba, Brio, Frost, the names of cats of her own family that had great power rolled off of her tongue just as easily as they rolled off of hers. "I'll remember about none of those names in ten minutes, I'll be frank with you," she commented with a hum, the soft smile still on her face. "But, I appreciate the underlying message." Would she follow the don't piss her family off concept? Knowing Gossamer Alessandra, probably not. BUt it was a good warning, anyways.
She padded along side the other cat, trying to keep focused on both the tunnels and the facts. The tunnels were an enigma to her; she still didn't understand why cats wanted to live in them. And the ranks, they were all a blur. But, she had to act like she was trying, at least. "It's my job to fill the other superior position, just like with Mysterium," she meowed with a tilt of her head. Ideally, Mysterium would have fit better with the Guider Superior position, and in hindsight, she should have realized this sooner. After all, she had been trained by Genesis in fighting while he got the herb training with Enigma. However, she needed her brother's support in the highest position possible, in a position of power, and that seemed more so with the Scout position. "What's... the point of Raisers? Am I allowed to ask that? It feels like that's about a useless position," she meowed with a flick of her whiskers. "And, am I supposed to do anything with the Chaman? I was told that back in the day the Chaman and Commander were supposed to be bedfellows, and although I really want to give him a smooch on the forehead, he really isn't my type." The tradition had long passed that the two were connected, but Gossamer didn't know that. She then blinked. Enough time to figure things out, that was good at least.
Gossamer let out a chuckle when the cat made a mention of falling asleep. "Honestly, I've dealt with Mysterium and his fascination with herbs my whole life. There's nothing that bores me after a three hour lecture about why we shouldn't give tansy to pregnant cats or whatever." She offered a wider smile, before shaking her head. "As for the posts, no. Only been to whatever the one was that we were in when I made my great entrance."
When she heard the next words come out of the Sentinel's mouth, Gossamer Alessandra let out a purr of delight. "You're kidding?" She stepped quickly back and forth in excitement, her gaze wide with excitement. "You mean, I can just show up in a clan and cause some issues, and then disappear again?"

"Well of course. I'd be devastated to lose such a beautiful Commander under my watch." Kaisra flashed a conspiratorial smile and winked right back back at Gossamer Alessandra without a moment's hesitation. Truly, she didn't expect the she-cat to remember the names. Even for someone great with names, that was a lot to remember, especially fired off in such rapid succession. She didn't really expect the other to listen much to the warning either. Anyone willing to take over a group they won in a bet probably wasn't also the type to be looking to please every cat they met. Which was just as well for the Sentinel. If Gossamer was anything like her own mother, Shule, she might just have died of boredom. At least this one seemed keen to be taken along for the ride on an adventure.
On the subject of Raisers, Kaisra simply shrugged. "Aside from assisting all births, from what I can tell, she-cats go back to work pretty quickly after their kits are weaned, leaving their tykes in the charge of the Raisers to, well, raise. Probably something about consistent teaching, instilling loyalty, or the like. I grew up in SunClan, soo, I don't really know the 'usual' way of growing up here. Oh, and no, that's long gone, I never really knew that was a thing. Chamans and Commanders aren't together."
"Nope, not kidding at all! So long as you know the routes, you can get anywhere. Want to go intrude on a few places before we get to dealing with the posts? I'm sure the Regime won't even notice. And if they do, oops, Mysterium and my mom get some extra work dealing with it. Too bad for them they accepted the positions, I guess."

"Beautiful? Me? Aww, shucks," she purred in amusement. She was starting to like Kaisra even more with each interaction. It wasn't surprising to her, per say, that she was willing to play her game with her, but it was deeply amusing all the same. Mysterium would be shocked to see how easily the two were falling in step with each other - he was always telling her that she was going to find a cat who was unwilling to put up with her malarky one day. Kaisra's assumption that Gossamer wasn't the most interested in impressing other cats was true, the Commander really didn't care who liked her and who didn't, but maybe she would try to keep this in mind for approximately two minutes before she forgot everything.
She nodded slowly about raisers. "I feel like the usual way of growing up here is deeply boring," she responded with a shrug. "You and I both are probably lucky that we avoided the process of making good little soldiers." Her head tilted slightly. Perhaps Raisers were the position she'd have to get to first if she was ever to cure these cats of their perpetual stick up their hind in itis. "Good thing, too," she then found herself murmuring about the freedom that came with not having to worry about being a little ... too friendly with Meepo. Nothing against him, but he was not her type.
Gossamer Alessandra then nodded enthuisiastically. "I like how you think, Kaisra," she purred. "That sounds like just my cup of tea, raise some hell and make Mysterium play babysitter," she meowed with a grin. She had spend most of her life doing just that, until Mysterium went to Primal Instinct for the first time. "I'm sure the posts are fun, but I'm sure bothering some poor clan cats would be even more so."

"Yeah, pretty sure we didn't miss much by avoiding the 'indoctrination' faze. Honestly, they think themselves better, but they're only slightly less a cult than SunClan seems to be." Kaisra knew that from experience. Managing to leave SunCult without more issue was honestly pretty lucky, and though she expected this was an easier place to leave, the sort of attitude they tried to instill was much, much harder to be rid of. And that was precisely why she refused to subscribe to such a thing, and continued to unapologetically be herself.
With her response, the smile only seemed to widen, and she gave a dramatic dip of a bow to the Commander, more teasing than meant as respectful. "Well then, where would you like to be off to, my fair Commander? The world is at our paws, you need point in the direction you wish to go." She couldn't help but giggle at the playful 'formality,' unable to stay the slightest bit serious with it.

Her ears pricked slightly at the mention of SunClan. The group was an enigma to her, and sort of a fascinating one. She sort of envied the amount of raw power it took to keep a group so dedicated to a false idol. But, the way that Kaisra said what she said made her think that maybe it wasn't a good idea to pry. Strange, that Gossamer had any shred of self-restraint. But, something told her it would be a story for another day. Instead, she just laughed.
For whatever reason, her heart fluttered slightly at Kaisra's teasing. It felt like a very I can show you the world moment, and there was something about that made her smile. She blinked - no, Gossamer, whatever that was, it was not going to happen again. Get it together, girlfriend. "The world is at our paws, eh?" she purred once she recovered, perhaps taking just a beat too long. "Hmm." Excitement rose through her body, and too soon, she was doing the steppy-steppy thing she often did when she was excited, where she would rapidly move from paw to paw. Mysterium used to make fun of her for it, but in a way, it was endearing. "I'm feeling..." She tipped her head. "Maybe SpringClan? I haven't been there yet, but I've heard they're soft and easy to startle..." She tipped her head. "Or FallClan, they also seem easy to harass..." She tipped her head. "Or, you know these places more than I do, since I'm still kinda new to the area, so if theres anyone you think will particularly be fun, we could go there too !"

To be honest, Kaisra found the tippy-tapping absolutely adorable, and had to try in vain to not look like she was staring. Because that was probably the cutest thing she'd seen anyone do, ever. But, ahem, focus, job stuff, your annoying mother, anything to literally stop staring at the Commander like a gaping fish, really. "If you're looking for trouble, that's the League and SunClan. They're the 'kill or imprison and torture you' types. Harrassing? SpringClan and DayClan are pushovers, SunClan even took them over once when I was a kit, though they didn't do it alone, SummerClan too, usually is pretty 'sweet and kind' types. NightClan tends to try and be too 'warrior code'y. WinterClan is like my mom, tends to try to be the cold and stoic ones. FallClan and MoonClan tend to be more off the grid, though the former, I'm told, has some history with the Regime that's been resolved or whatever." She rattled it off with ease, separating them by category based upon her own knowledge and what she'd heard, or hadn't, really, about each clan and group. "Are we going for easy targets where we have a high chance of getting to explore? Or going with 'put our lives on the line' and see how it works out? Both are equally as fun, but for entirely different reason." Kaisra flashed a vicious sort of smile that truly said she'd be fine with either, or both, if Gossamer was so ambitious.
