☼Eye Horoscope You're always intellectually curious, but today you might be especially so. Although you're usually idealistic, today your imagination is in full swing. Take a step outside of your comfort zone, and try to solve a problem that has been on your mind. You might even be able to find a simple solution to problems that others have been overlooking.
Foxbane had a lot of regrets. And it was only recently she'd made a determination to take care of herself. Well, that decision had been two days ago, which subsequently had been the first time she'd painted her fur and really eaten a proper meal since she stepped down. Since, she'd made sure to groom herself, eat a decent meal, and actually do something other than just wander or lie around when she wasn't with her youngest litter. It was still too soon for her to really appear to have gained weight, but even three days of proper eating, and her pelt had regained it's sheen, the blizzard pattern across her back, creeping up the left side of her neck and curved across the left side of her face and across her cheek shimmering with the fur's undertone.
She had a lot of problems to solve, and a love of apologies to make. The Senator wasn't entirely sure who she'd come across today, but it was likely there were things to clear up between them. The fox-furred feline could only hope that she could actually remedy things.
"So the rumors are true, then. You've actually stepped down."
The voice that spoke from the other side of the Sunclan-Rouge border was familiar, albeit one that Foxbane hadn't heard in quite a long time, and perhaps hadn't considered hearing ever again. Once solely associated with hatred and disdain, the statement carried across the frozen breeze to the former High Priest lacked any of the triumph or mockery she would've expected upon the discovery of her demotion. Even now, face to face with the cat she once ironically deemed the bane of her existence, Gravel wasn't sure just what power had drawn her here. As soon as the word of recent events reached the ear of Primal Instinct, the tortoiseshell had felt...compelled to see the truth for herself.
Maybe it was because of how untouchable Foxstar had seemed. While Waterclan had suffered from plague, civil war, floods, and ultimate destruction, Sunclan had always remained the same, with Foxstar leading it with unshakable confidence. Now...two fallen Empresses faced each other, perhaps for the first time on truly equal ground.

"I'm not sure why you're surprised. You have plenty of cats within the League and out that could have told you as much." After all, Gravel was mates with one of Glowstar's children, and even if that weren't the case, Funk E'tan had already known about it as well, which, perhaps unsurprisingly, the rumors that she'd had his kits were also true. But that was irrelevant. Foxbane didn't seem to feel any particular way about Gravel, staring at the former leader with a neutral expression as she sighed her response. She'd set out to right wrongs, but other than being a general annoyance, and having a penchant for stealing toms away from the clan, WaterClan as a whole wasn't exactly one of the places she'd done so much harm too. Well, except for murdering Eternallaughter, and Timerous, both of whom had once been members of the clan.
"Well, you've been Sunclan's leader for so long, I was thoroughly convinced you wouldn't stop until your last life was pried from your claws. Forgive me for needing to see it with my own two eyes." While most of the League took the rumors with mild interest at best, Gravel had found herself at a loss of what to do with what seemed to her as impossible knowledge. Even Glowstar, her own mother-in-law, seemed more likely to step down from leadership than the she-cat standing before her. Sunclan was stronger, had more power both physical and spiritual, had grown to be both admired and feared by all of the other clans from Foxstar's effort alone. No other cat could've done what she did.
So what changed? Perhaps that was what Gravel had come here to find out, though it still didn't seem right.
The tortoiseshell went silent for a moment, before sighing as she approached the very edge of the border, looking up at the former leader with caution and concern. "Foxbane...are you alright? How are you feeling?" The words came out without thinking, her voice soft on the wind with genuine worry.
