Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It wasn't particularly often that Eclipse left the comfort and safety of the tunnels anymore; not that she still couldn't hunt or patrol if she really wanted to, but why bother when the younger generations were so eager to do it anyway? But it also happened that lately, the silky black veteran had been more...lethargic than she used to be. Her amusement about the drama involving the new Commander left her more upbeat than many of her groupmates had seen her in moons yet, even so, there was something different about her. A tiredness, even when she was scheming or stirring up drama, that had never quite been there before.
A multitude of shimmering stars speckled across the pitch-black sky overhead, twinkling almost playfully as Eclipse laid on her back on the soft, cool grass below, staring up at the sky with an unreadable expression in her eyes. For as long as she could remember, the clans claimed that ancient warriors lived up in those stars, watching over the living and guiding their paws from a heavenly paradise. The Blind Protector had always been more vague about when lied in his specific afterlife, but it couldn't really be all that different, right? But there was also that other place...the Place of No Stars, or the Dark Forest...
Eclipse was getting older. That was a fact. She was the oldest cat living in the Renegade Regime as far as she knew. She had spent her entire life working for the Regime's sake, giving her blood, sweat, and tears to this place she had called home. But she hadn't been a perfect soldier. She was selfish, especially in her younger years, with a hunger to lie, cheat, and steal to get what she wanted, whether that was getting revenge, or trying to secure her tykes and grandtykes places up in the world.
But what she ended up with was two sons running away, a daughter in a loveless marriage before being brutally murdered, and grandtykes that will never mentally recover from that loss.
And there was no one but herself to blame for all of it.
When it all came down to it...when her time finally came...did Eclipse really deserve to see her parents, her tykes, or Chaman Pebble again? "Damn it," she cursed with a sharp hiss under her breath. "I really need to stop doing this."
“Thinking?” Sean asked, “Yeah you should stop doing that, it’s not very flattering on you,” He laughed cruelly with a flare of extra villainous drama in his laughter. A sly smile smoothed over his lips, “Stop making yourself depressed, if you’re allowed to get depressed than I’m allowed to get sad again too.” The chocolate brown tom sat beside her, he always seemed to carry so much emotionally openly, but it was probably due to his markings. A stroke of dark brown striped his snout and outlining it was a golden gleam of color highlighting his exotic green eyes far more than the average cat. He bumped her playfully, “Don’t tell me you’re going to start crying, you’re not a damsel,” He said, but his words didn’t carry the harsh tone that his choice of words had. He looked genuinely worried for her.
