Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
His shadow was a wolf, it moved like an intense nightmare, the monster every kit feared would eat them at night and Lucistic was the reflection of it. His shadow bounced off of stone and into the trees as the sunk sank as well as the heart of the cat he was chasing. He had brought Gravel along on the trek, but just as soon as she thought she had her eyes on him he had vanished with the sun somewhere in the thick briars. Somehow even though the cat he had given chase to was running for his life it managed to stop, its ears pricked like it was straining to hear for something. Whatever it was the tom thought he heard it never came, but Lucistic did. Pouncing onto the intruder out from the shadows he rolled over with him and tore at the toms neck, but only came up with a leather collar. Lucistic's hiss sounded more like some hellish creature as her fiercely tried to tear at his throat, but kept coming up with nothing and laughed a little at the futile attempt, but his laughter didn't sound the same, it came out like a broken harmony.
"Jeez Gravel, this kittypets defense is top notch. I think he gets to live," He said resting his large muzzle tiredly over the other tom, his own head took up most of the space across the other cats chest, he was much bigger than most cats.
"I would hope so. Senselessly killing this poor, pathetic kittypet isn't worth it, even for you." Gravel trotted out of the undergrowth, rolling her hazel eyes in exasperation as, once again, she had to track down her mate before someone's limbs went flying. Just one of the many reasons of how the pair were perfectly matched opposites; while Lucistic was instinctual and brutal, Gravel was stoic and calculating, not one to drop everything and chase a kittypet as one would chase a little bunny. Though she wouldn't admit it out loud, she was actually quite impressed by his level of skill and technique in his hunt...which brought out a darkness in him that she had known was there, but hadn't been shown up until this point, despite the many seasons they had been together. The tortoiseshell she-cat wasn't bothered by the secrets he kept from her, she knew Lucistic tried hard to restrain his bolder impulses around her, because he cared.
She turned to regard the terrified and helpless kittypet, regarding the young, pitiful cat with disdain, while hiding the tiniest flicker of compassion in her gaze. "You've more than traumatized the pet enough that he'll probably never go near a forest for the rest of his life. Let him run back to his twolegs like the coward he is, my dear."
"Or maybe he'll run away from the forest and come back as this gangster kittypet from the city with a bunch of rogue gang members and declare war on the whole forest forcing everyone to band together to defeat him!" Lucistic said looking back at Gravel with worry in his eyes, the faintest light trickled into his dark green gaze giving way to his laughter. This time his laugh came out more sincere and himself, "Yeah probably not, okay you can go." Lucistic said stepping off from the kittypet. Like a bolt of lightning white and grey tom fled, kicking up dust and dirt as he got further away from the pair.
Lucistic thumped to the earth, "Another job horribly pursued," He purred, the purr coming out more like thunder. His gaze was brighter now and when he looked at her the smile reached his eyes, "You know in the prison district Innocentia's always looking for a snack and lately we don't have enough failures to keep her full and when she's not full she starts to turn her eyes on the league. I've seen her look at me like I'm a juicy mouse! Honestly it won't be long until she's my sister in law which should secure my life, but is also majorly intimidating," Lucistic shivered before shrugging, "But you're in my sisters district, I bet things are way more laid back there. It's easy to be a snitch after all," He said, a devilish grin curled across his lips tauntingly.
"I hope not. That storyline sounds horribly cliche," Gravel retorted with an amused snort, watching as the kittypet fled - at a surprisingly impressive speed - with his tail tucked between his legs. "Well, if you know my district so well, then you should also know I'm under strict orders from your sister to not discuss anything that happens in said district. Senescence is absolutely charming, by the way, I can't believe you've never introduced me to her earlier." Purposely ignoring any and all comments about Innocentia for very obvious reasons, and instead padding forward to stand beside him, still staring out into the forest where the kittypet had long since disappeared. "So...now that you're done with your kittypet hunt, can you finally explain why you dragged me all of the way out here, Lucistic?"
"Oh, for no reason. I thought if I told you it was for no reason you wouldn't have come with and been like, why the heck would we come out this far for no reason? But the answer to that is just for the heck of it, I suppose," Lucistic said casually, but turned to Gravel, "And yeah Senescence is cool and all, but I don't know I feel uncomfortable around her sometimes. I don't really like to look at her because she's all scarred up and like. I look at her and remember how she used to be to how she is now. I was kidnapped too and my whole thing is to never make that experience affect me, but for her when she was kidnapped it defined everything she is now and it bums out to see her. But don't tell my mom on me!" He said defensively with a sheepish smile.
