Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The whispers crowded his mind like darkness in an abyss searching for light, a space to fill in a gap, an impossible quest. He could see the frost rise and vanish past his muzzle, but he felt it surrounding him like a mist, like there were mouths breathing around him, watching, judging, clawing to get closer to him. In the dark he could feel the ghosts around him. The feeling of being watched, the unfamiliar sounds he spent moons convincing himself was just the wind. But his heart beat with more lives than his own, they stole at his breath and tugged at his mind into maddening unimaginable thoughts. What separated him from the killers back home was that he was not a monster who killed and fed off of misery. He was a soul thief, he didn't kill, he stole their souls, did they ever pass on? He could feel them all around him, their screams echoed out from inside of him, he often wondered if anyone could hear. That if his heart raced too fast these echoes would escape him. He could still remember each cats dying expression and the most animalistic sounds that sounded so wrong coming from a cat.
If someone ever asked why he did what he did it was to be commander of Renegade Regime. Sure innocent sacrifices had to be made, but it was meant to be for the better good for generations to come. Instead he lost and there was one life he never got to take, his father. If his family was a plant it was ivy, squeezing its tendrils around every living thing and hungering for the light, but burying everything it held dear into shadows. An Eerie's love was parasitic, cursing every bloodline it touched. They were known as the Guardian family, but they were more like a virus, mixing with every powerful family in order to have power over every dominion.
Flamingstar would find him pacing back and forth, the frost leaking out past his lips hurled around him like a fog.
Flamingstar approached the tom, her intense turquoise eyes narrowed. Her flame colored fur illuminated, lined with a silver glow from the full moon. She was like a warm flame bordered with pieces of jagged ice. An unbelievable sight unless one had seen it themselves. She kept a calm composure, though curiosity tugged at her mind. What did this tom have to say? Why did he want to meet with her? "Kotori" she greeted, giving a curt nod. Her voice rang out in the silence. It was a pleasant sound, yet, there was a cold ring to it. A chill that somehow felt good. "You wanted to meet with me here?" Her breath formed into a frosty cloud as she spoke while the moon highlighted the blue fire in her eyes.
Kotori looked from Flamingstar back to the way he had come and somehow despite the darkness ahead of his path it felt brighter than the one that lied behind him. He walked towards Flamingstar and although he knew his mind was playing tricks on him he could feel the shadows rise behind him like flames, threatening to drown him. The darkness moved around him like water and then like vines twisting around his paws and into his ears, he could hear the whispers rising with each contributing chant, Stop, Stop, Stop, Stop, Stop, Stop, Stop.
"I wanted to do the right thing and help you. The Pride are a bunch of pretentious orchids who get by on so called friendship. They're not friends, they make each others lives worse having known each other and worse it's their clan mates whose lives must suffer with or even for them. I say, don't be like Burningstar, be who you are and don't join the pride. Instead we should work together to take them down. No clans been able to stand up to them because they're a big force to be reckoned with together, but if we manage to make them hate each other they'll break themselves apart. After all, look at how MoonClan's suffered for not joining the Pride, I don't want that to happen to NightClan. I care because I'm sick of my family being called heroes, I want them to be shown for who they truly are. They're just as cruel as I am and I want everyone to know it."
Flamingstar was surprised but didnt let that show. However, a look of thought crossed her expression. "What do you have in mind?" She asked. Now he had her attention. Overthrowing the two most powerful leaders? Fate had already gotten rid of one. It was almost too good that Burningstar had been stuck in Sunclan with her kits. It seemed as if this tom had a way in. He did say they were his family. Perhaps this could work. Having a traitor on the inside made this plan possible.
"We need to crush their friendship and what better way than to make them believe they've been betrayed? Lucky for you I'm far from being an ex spy and have been keeping my tabs on everyone," Kotori said, a vicious smile wrung across his lips, "First we'll steal kits from the league and DayClan, knock them out, plant them in SunClan. Given SunClan's history Day and Primal will have no choice, but to abandon ties with SunClan leaving them lonely with only their pious attitudes. Now, what I know is that there's a love triangle going on so you can guess I'm excited to break it to pieces. Fox likes Glow and Glow likes Funk. Fox is a threat to us still, she could rebuild the bond between Sun and Day so we need to get her out of the way. What I'm thinking is I'll set Funk and Glow up on a fantastic date and your job will be to hook up with Funk in front of Glow, break her heart, break the alliance. Leave Foxbane to me. So what do you think, is it a plan?"
At first, she was loving the plan. She listened intently with interest. However, when he mentioned hooking up with Funk, her heart sank. Even if it was fake, relationships did not go well for her. "Funk would never fall for me." She responded doubtfully. "He is one of the most liked toms. Someone of his ranking would never take an interest in me." Granted, she was leader of Nightclan, now but that still didn't mean he would hook up with her. Besides, she had accidentally fallen in love before and was hurt. Could she really pretend to like someone without catching real feelings? Also, Glowstar was beautiful. She could never compete with her.
The spinning hypnotic look in his eyes seemed to snap back into reality, "What the heck are you talking about?" he asked slowly.
Kotori seemed to do a double look at her, like if he looked at her a second time more closely maybe she would distort and transform, but it was the same Flamingstar, "You're hot as all StarClan! You have dainty paws, long flaming fur with angelic blue opalescent eyes. You're not some pretty little nobody, you left the league and became leader so how are you any less than someone like Glowstar who did the exact same thing?" Pushing aside his snarky voice he spoke more soothingly, "Listen, you're a total babe," He blushed, tilting his head out of view so Flamingstar wouldn't see his face, "So don't go on talking about stupid crud like not being up to his standard cause honestly with a sleazy guy like him you're far past it and I won't be able to stand it if I hear you yammering on about how you're somehow below a guy like that."
Her ears perked as he complimented her, a look of surprise appearing in her eyes. She searched his eyes for some sort of indication that he was lying but she saw nothing. Was she really just as good as Glowstar? Did he actually think she was beautiful? Even with the hideous scar on her face? "Y-you really think that?" She felt a warm feeling rising up in her chest, a fluttering in her belly but she shook the feeling away, burying it deep down inside. She straightened up and cleared her throat, "I mean, uh. I suppose if you think it will work, I guess its worth a try." Head in the game, Flamingstar. Focus on taking down the Pride
He gave her a sharp look as though to say, don't push it, but relinquished it almost as immediately as it came, yeah, he did mean it. His lips teetered into an approving smile, "There you go, now let's go ruin some lives together! I already got the perfect kiddos in mind to kidnap too so this should be a cinch. Knock SunClan out of the way and then it'll just be up to you while I keep Foxbane out of it. Honestly Fox is such a sorry mess it makes me wish she was still leader, would have made our jobs way easier," Kotori marveled, but paused, "And also, it's not my place, but you don't have to look so doubtful anymore. You're actually pretty freakin awesome dethroning your leader and claming your rightful place. Back there you got ganged up on, but when it was fight or flight you were going to fight like Blind pr- like all of StarClan had your back. You're cooler than you know right now," He said with a smirk that was so condescending most would want to knock his teeth in, but after what he said to her, it seemed to come off not with the intent as condescending, but spoke more to the sense of, you're-awesome-get-used-to-it.
She perked her ears in surprise. Did cats really think she was cool? A slight smile pulled at her lips and she felt warm inside despite how cold she was. "Well, thank you" she mewed with a polite dip of her head. Excitement about splitting up the pride bubbled up inside. "So, which kits are we going to steal?"
(I was thinking that they first execute this plan and call it a success and then they can talk about building a group to destroy the clans)
"I was actually thinking of kidnapping Lightningpaw and Cinnamonsavage, they were meant to be SunClan cats, but DayClan took them back. If they were found on SunClan land DayClan would automatically see the connection and feel they haven't changed their ways and instead are trying to take back what SunClan believes to be theirs. I also just really don't like Cinnamonsavage so I'm planning on having fun ruining his life," Kotori explained.
"Your planning on kitnapping a full grown cat?" Flamingstar mewed in surprise. The Nightclan leader had stolen kits and apprentices before but never a full grown cat. She usually just killed those.
A mock surprise expression crossed his face, "Oh? Would this be your first time kidnapping a fully grown cat?" Kotori asked with a playful arrogant smirk, "Don't worry I'll be gentle taking you through the motions of abduction, we'll go at your pace," He purred seductively before breaking into full out laughter. Dabbing a black paw to his eye he more genuinely said, "Don't worry, we can do this," Kotori said with a sincere smile, "Do you trust me?"
Flamingstar gave him a disgusted look, pinning her ears back as he teased her. "This isn't my first abduction." she fired back with an irritable flick of her tail. "Just my first with a full grown cat." She admitted, her expression softening to more of a bored look. When he asked if she trusted him, her eyes widened slightly. Trust? That wasn't something she gave out lightly. "Perhaps trust is the wrong term but I'll follow your lead."
