Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Asher closed his eyes, tilting his head upwards to meet the pouring rain, as a flash of lightning lit up the sky, followed by a deafening crash of thunder. Any reasonable cat would have retired to the safety of their nest by now to wait out the thunderstorm, but Asher never minded any downpour. With the rain, it brought a sense of calmness to him. Since he spent most of his life alone, unconnected to any cat, he felt much more comfortable away from others anyway. Ever since he was invited to SummerClan, he was skeptical of them, but decided to give a new experience a shot. He hadn't been there long enough yet to know everyone by name, let alone, by scent. Letting his head fall straight once again, he opened his eyes once again, scanning the surrounding world, another blinding flash of light turning the world white for a few heartbeats as he began to move.
Owlpaw had found herself caught out in a thunderstorm once again, she should have known better to go out when they sky was so dark but as always she ignored reason and now she sat soaking wet beneath a tree, watching the world light up with each crack of lightening that split the grey clouds above. She didn't mind the rain or being wet, but she could barley see through the rain to be able to make it home and so she waited, water from the leaves above her head dripping onto her back. As a flash lit her surroundings once more she caught sight of movement just ahead and jumped to her paws, squinting her eyes as she strained to see who or what it could be.
Wet leaves and soft earth compressed under his steps, leaving paw prints behind. Another bright flash and thunderclap filled the sky. Pausing for a few moments, he thought of where he might be. He wasn't too familiar with the territory. Glancing around his limited field of vision, he took note of the trees and surrounded shrubbery just in case, he got lost. Picking up two sticks in his maw, he planted them in dirt as markers. If his time in the woods taught him anything, its not to get lost in unknown territory. He had the scars to show for it. Continuing on, the storm's intensity died down slightly, but his eyesight was still hindered by the rain. He just had to get to That Place.
As the sky lit up again, Owlpaw got a clearer look at the figure moving around in the open, he was a newcomer in Summerclan but his name escaped her. "Hey! Over here, its dryer under the tree." She called out to him but the loud crash of thunder drowned her voice out and she let out a huff of frustration. Still unsure of his name, but knowing he was in fact a clanmate she stepped out into the downpour of rain and approached him carefully. "Over here!" She tried to call out to him again as she grew closer.
The tom's ears twitched at the sound of a voice. He stopped in place and looked around for it. For some reason, he felt he heard it somewhere before, but over the rain, he couldnt tell. Spotting a figure coming toward him he called out to it, "Hello?". He squinted his eyes to focus more and it became somewhat clearer. An apprentice? What are they doing out here? He started off toward, the figure, making sure not to run into fallen branches. "Who's that?" he asked the voice.
