(This is a holiday feast! All clans and groups welcomed!)
Flamingstar organized the fresh-kill pile. "Mice here, squirrels go here." She mumbled under her breath as she separated each piece of prey into organized piles. She hoped that a party would help the other clans accept her as being the new Nightclan leader. Against her own best judgement, she even invited Soaringbird, unsure if the former Nightclan leader would even attend. She had invited Glowstar as well despite their little incident at the gathering. Today was a day of truce and celebration. She knew the two-legs celebrated today for some reason and figured it would be a good day to have a party.
Snow fell outside the cavern and ice rimmed the cenote. However, it was warm in the cavern, Flamingstar hardly remembered it was leaf-bare. There wasnt much to decorate with but she had seen the two-legs use holly and mistletoe so she had decorated the cavern with those. It was looking nice and Flamingstar was satisfied with how things were coming along. Even her warriors seemed happier.
Flamingstar had finished organizing the prey. She turned to the entrance and began to wait for those to show up. Her heart was racing and she began to feel panicked. Would anyone even come? She hadn't made a good first impression at the gathering. Perhaps they wouldnt show.
////////////
Echomelody bounded into the camp carrying in more holly and mistletoe, white snowflakes clung to her black fur but wasnt visible against her white paws. She hurried over to where there were a few missing pieces and began to hang it by dabbing a few drops of sap onto the walls. Her green eyes twinkled with excitement. This was one of Flamingstar's greatest ideas. She hoped cats would actually show up to this.
Beetleflight came in carrying a plump rabbit that he set over in one of the piles. "Looking good Echomelody!" He purred coming over to her. "Need any help?" He asked
Yumemi padded up to the entrance, carrying a rather bony squirrel in her mouth. Truth be told, she wasn't entirely sure if she was meant to be here - sure, she'd been a member of Absum Lux once upon a time and met a few NightClan apprentices during her time as the coalition's Sage, but she was a loner now, rather than a Clan or group cat. She hadn't even been at the gathering where Flamingstar had presumably announced the feast in the first place, and it was only through eavesdropping near other Clans' borders that she'd heard about the party at all. Still, she could sympathise with Flamingstar. Based on some other gossip she'd heard at the borders, there had been a few other...incidents at that gathering, and she figured her presence at the party would be welcome if it did turn out to be a flop. Besides, it wasn't like she was some kind of freeloader - she'd brought food, even. Yes, they'd just have to put up with her, if they didn't want her there.
"Hi!" she chirped, her words garbled by the squirrel in her mouth. It occured to her she didn't actually know what Flamingstar looked like, nor would she be able to recognise most other NightClan cats apart from the apprentices she'd met a while back. Well, she would just have to tell the cat near the entrance then, and hope for the best. "I'm here for the feast! I did bring a contribution of my own, but..." She dropped the bony squirrel on the ground, giving the cat a sheepish grin. "I'm not, like, the best hunter."
Kindness wasnt Flamingstar's forte but she supposed to she could try to be nice for the night. The flame colored she-cat approached the guest. Flamingstar had intense turquoise eyes and a long scar across her muzzle. Despite her uncomfortable disposition, a small smile was painted on her lips. "That's okay. Welcome! Why dont you set that in the squirrel pile?" The Nightclan leader offered, relieved that someone had showed. "Feel free to help yourself to anything you like, too."
////////
Echomelody startled at Beetleflight's approached but relaxed when she realized who it was. "Sure! Can you hang this mistletoe over there?" She asked, pointing to a spot on the wall with her kinked tail.
Yumemi beamed at the she-cat who had approached her. This must be Flamingstar, she thought to herself, taking note of the Clan cat's ginger fur. "Neat-o!" she purred, letting her eyes wander around the NightClan camp as she traveled over to the fresh-kill piles. She'd always thought of Clan cats as being kind of stuffy, or a little too stuck in tradition for her liking - kind of similar to her own kittypet family, maybe. It was why she'd put off finding another group of cats to do business with after she'd left the coalition - besides being busy with her own research, of course. But the NightClan camp was prettily decorated, with holly and mistletoe lining the walls. "Your camp is so pretty," she chirped, to no one in particular. "It's way cooler than my shack, anyway. Is it always like this?"
"Not usually" came the voice of an all black tom with intense amber eyes. He was broad and well built. Muscles rippled under his glossy midnight black pelt. "Nothing like this has happened since Burningstar was leader." The tom was sifting through the piles of prey, trying to decide what he wanted to eat.
She was beginning to think that the clan cats were boring. Of course, she probably didn't have room to talk; her own group of bootlickers weren't the most entertaining. At least, though, her bootlickers were angry at her. Watching her back consistantly to make sure she aren't murdered provided her some entertainment. Still, she had been intrigued at Flamingstar's invitation, and decided that they would make some sort of an entrance. And by they, she meant her and any other Regime cats that cared to leave their tunnels. Personally, she liked every chance she could get to get out of those dusty things, but perhaps this was just because in no way was she a born and bred tunnel cat.
Commander Gossamer Alessandra blinked her eyes before wandering forward into the camp further, motioning for the cats that had come with her to put down the moles in whereever they felt was a fit place for moles. She then trotted up to Flamingstar for good measure. "Cute lil' place you got here," she greeted with a smile, as if they were old friends. She had a way of doing that, becoming too friendly too fast. "Thanks for invitin' us! From what I understand, the tunnel cats don't get out much, so this is a nice escape from the perpetual night ! Well, even if we are still in a cavern, but that's neither here nor there."

Despite his leader's openness by inviting other clans and groups to their camp, Firewind didn't feel as generous. He hung back as the strangers began arriving. Were they all assessing NightClan's strengths and weaknesses? He would keep an exceptional watch on the 'visitors' making sure none became too nosy.
Tinykit and Eaglekit were all excited about this new event taking place. It was all Nightsky could do to keep them from corralled near the nursery. "You can watch from here," she said, sharing her eldest son's suspicions.
Flamingstar dipped her head to Gossamer. "Thank you. I hear that you are the new commander of the Regime. Congratulations." Speaking of the Regime left a bitter tingle on her tongue and an uncomfortable prick in her heart. Like a thorn had penetrated the surface of the heart, not quite excruciating pain but an uncomfortable aching pain. She had become quite close to the old commander. The one she hadn't seen it quite a while. He had chosen another cat, leaving her in a false hope that love would be the antidote to her frozen heart. A part of her was rather relieved to find a new cat running the Regime. She wouldn't have to experience the awkward space between them. Yet, there was a slight disappointment. As if she had almost hoped to see him once more.
"We should show up on time or not at all, Oakpaw. Besides, MoonClan could use the prey. It's not too late to go back." Cypresspaw mewed to her brother as the large tom shouldered his way through the brush just outside of NightClan's camp. He was carrying a rabbit to offer. She had been the one to catch it. "Ift'll bwe fun." He said through a mouthful, leading the way into camp, a worried Cypresspaw at his heels. --- Cypresspaw Cypresspaw hated when Oakpaw ignored her and did whatever he wanted. He was normally such a pushover, but this time Oakpaw had told her multiple times how excited he was to go to this event and wasn't going to let her back out of it. He could be very conniving over the dumbest things.
The young torbie's eyes widened as she saw the sheer number of cats present. She had not yet gone to a Gathering so this was the most cats she had ever seen in one place. She turned to make a comment to Oakpaw only to realize that he had already left her side and was talking to a grumpy-looking ginger tom.
Seriously? He drug her out and did her dirty like that?
With her security blanket gone, Cypresspaw was feeling extremely self conscious, and gave her chest a few strokes. She hoped no one would approach her if she looked busy. --- OakpawWhitemuzzle "Firewind, right? We've never met, but I'm Oakpaw," The brown-and-white tabby meowed, sitting down next to the ginger tom and putting the rabbit at his paws. He was sure there was some place he was supposed to deposit it but clearly hadn't gotten there yet,"Congratulations on your promotion. I wasn't at the last Gathering but my clanmates told me about it."
Oakpaw wrapped his tail around his paws and added with a genuine smile, "In MoonClan, toms don't get leadership positions, so I can't imagine what it's like."

Oakpaw Jadie
Firewind was surprised to hear this bit of information from this MoonClan apprentice. "Um, thank you," he responded to his congratulations. He thought he'd engage Oakpaw in conversation. Perhaps he'd get some helpful information. Besides he wanted to keep an eye on the strange cats anyway. "What do you mean? Tom's can't lead in MoonClan? Why's that?" he asked genuinely curious over this news.
[ now I could be wrong, there's not a lot of traditions or anything on the MoonClan page yet, so I am working under an assumption and if anyone knows better please let me know lol ]
"Oh, it's just the way it is. My sister over there may know better, she's a stickler for the rules, but I'm not sure if she will share for the same reason," Oakpaw replied a little absentmindedly. He may or may not have picked up on Firewind's intentions, he would have reacted the same either way, "Something the Goddess declared once, I'd imagine. Anyway, do you know where I should take this hare? Or do you want it? Fresh caught from MoonClan's moors, sure to impress."
Yumemi blinked, turning her eyes away from the vast piles of food to look at who the voice belonged to. Was he looking for something to eat? "I brought that squirrel!" she beamed, pointing to her rather unimpressive catch at the top of the squirrel pile. "...Maybe don't eat it, though. It doesn't look very, um, nutritious."
His eyes rested on the scrawny squirrel and then at Yumemi. "You caught that?" He turned his attention back to the squirrel and picked it up out of the pile. "Want to share it?" he asked with a mouthful of fur. There wouldn't be much to share but he felt generous that night.
"It is an impressive one, especially during leafbare," Firewind admitted. He thought about the information Oakpaw had given him about MoonClan. Not too useful to him but it was interesting. "You can put it on the fresh kill pile," he meowed. "It's over there. I'll walk there with you. So tell me, what do toms do in your clan if they can't hold any positions?"
"Toms are known as Guardians and do much of the same tasks as your Warriors do, I would guess," Oakpaw replied, picking up his rabbit and carrying it to the fresh-kill pile that Firewind had indicated. He was mostly dragging it by a leg so that his mouth was partially open to talk, albeit a little muffled, "Our Illusionift ish much like your medichun cat, but he canf be a tom."

Firewind helped Oakpaw place the rabbit on top of the pile once they reached it. "What you're telling me sounds so strange," he said. "Here in NightClan everyone is treated equally. Any cat can aspire to any position. StarClan wants the best cat to be in leadership no matter what sex they are."
"I'm no going to try to understand the Goddess's reasoning," Oakpaw replied as he turned to face Firewind a little more seriously. He did not advertise his personal views but felt compelled to share with this foreign tom. He glanced up at the Sun beating down on him and wondered if the temptation came from his own heart or that of his deity's rival. The apprentice hadn't even shared his religious struggles with his sister, Cypresspaw, whom he was closest to out of the entire litter. He would not burden the already anxious she-cat with his own problems. But talking to a cat like Firewind was definitely not the place to do that, either. Common sense won over, but his face still read conflicted, "She choses our leadership and guides our path. I'm sure you don't question the words of your StarClan, do you? Or do you not speak directly to your gods?"

SUNCLAN
Littlestar Appearing at the edge overlooking the cenote appeared the combined forces for SunClan and DayClan, Littlestar stood side by side with Glowstar, The two clan leaders had met at their shared boarder before heading to NightClan to crash join in on the feast. After the gathering, she had contemplated even showing up but this was an opportunity to learn more about what had happened to NightClan since Summersolstice(Burningstar) had come to SunClan. Summersoltice had left the clan in the care of her sister Soaringbird, so this development was not exactly planned. Flamingstar had made it clear enough that they were no longer her allies, but did the clan agree? Either way, tonight she would find out exactly where the clan stood and what actions the Pride would need to take next. They had the numbers to put SummerSolstice back into power if they so desired, but the she-cat was still in SunClan's nursery with her litter. So for now, information gathering would be their primary goal. She turned to Glowstar "Not much of a party yet Strikhedoniadalisay" she mewed with amusement looking down at the cats that had come to the feast thus far. "Let's change that" she flicked her tail, dismissing her clan to make the decent into NightClan's camp. They all knew the way, having been here many times before when Burningstar had been their ally. Faith
Tinypaw The young gray she-cat peered over the edge of the cenote with curiosity. Others in the clan had told her about NightClan's unique camp, but it was different seeing it for yourself. As the High Priestess dismissed the clan, SunClan cats began to pour over the lip of the cenote. Tinypaw picked up her snake, following the others when she spotted Oakpaw. She felt heat rush to her face as she ducked back behind some of the larger warriors hoping he wouldn't notice her. Even though the wound on her leg had healed from the snake bite, her embarrassment had not. Jadie
Raspberrypaw was breaking out her best moves, her left front leg and back right leg moved out, then in, switching up her legs she did the same motion than a twirl, than a belly flop, then hopped back up again and repeat! It was her best moves and it was sure to impress some classy individuals.
DayClan
"Can I start singing? I feel that would really bring up the liveliness," Glowstar suggested, "I promise I'll be on key this time, sometimes I just find it fun to sing horribly, but I won't do it this time, on StarClan's honor, I swear."
Glowstar had been anticipating a party and now that Littlestar and her were both here she was looking forward to hit it off. Maybe flirt with a few guys, participate in a gentlemens match of chugging 20 mice and seeing who can down them the fastest. Simple stuff like that. Oh and also figuring out more about NightClan, that too.
Primal Instinct
Kotori walked in and found himself hugging the wall where the entrance was. He didn't really know how to even begin to walk into this party and looked more trapped than having a good time.
