TINYPAW
THE UNDERESTIMATED - SUNCLAN APPRENTICE
Tinypaw had never been one to follow the rules, she was Foxbane's daughter after all. Really all she cared for was earning her mother's approval, the rest was up for interpretation. So when she saw the snake just past SunClan's border with SunClan she couldn't resist the temptation. It's long black body was curled around a rock, taking in the warmth of the sun's rays. Snakes had always been a favorite of hers to hunt, having caught her first as kit with the help of her father. She had learned to tell the difference between which was poisonous, and which was not. This was the latter.
Dropping into a hunter's crouch the snake watched her approach, it tongue flicking outwards to take in her scent. There was no sneaking up on a snake, however most wouldn't flee preferring to stand their ground not seeing her as a threat. She could feel her heart beat increase at the thrill of the hunt, the blood rushing through her ears.
The two stared at one another, both waiting for the other to pounce. Finally the snake shot forward to strike, but she was ready. She swiftly grabbed the snake's head between her jaws, but also felt it's long needle like teeth sink into her leg. She bit down as hard as she could, cursing under the breathe that she had been so careless, until it finally began to go limp, its teeth still imbeded in her leg. She felt tear well up in her eyes as she let go of the snake, knowing that it was already gone but would continue to bite down until she could free herself as it's muscles contracted. She used her other paw and teeth trying to free herself as pain coursed through her small body
"Hey, hey, stop struggling." Oakpaw meowed as he hurriedly approached Tinypaw, his whiskers twitching in concern. He was quite a large cat but his eyes were kind; he did not seem like an enemy. The scent of MoonClan, however, clung heavily to his pelt, "Snakes fight for awhile longer even if they have their heads cut off. I'll loosen up when you do."
He was a mostly brown tabby with some white here and there. His fur a bit unkept but not dirty. The MoonClan apprentice had dropped a mouse he had been carrying to come and help Tinypaw, so it was fair to assume he had been on a hunting patrol when he happened upon the scene. Oakpaw wasn't too upset to see a SunClan apprentice on the wrong side of the border - after all, it just a couple fox-lenth's away - but the same could not be said for most of his clanmates, and there was no telling when or if the rest of his patrol was going to show up.

"STOP" she growled instinctualy tail lashing, before realizing that it probably came off far more aggressive than she had intended. The other apprentice only seemed to be wanting to help, but the way the snake was positioned if he yanked it out without any preparation it would cause a massive amount of bleeding, and she was in a lot of pain"You can't just take it out, unless you want me to bleed out before I get home. I just need to loosen it enough to get a stick between it and my leg until I can get my paws on some cobwebs"
She winced as it bit down harder, muttering a curse under her breath. Her mother was going to kill her for making such a juvenile mistake. He punishment would be far worse than what the snake was doing now.
"Oh, you're not going to bleed out, even if I yanked it off you. Which I'm not going to do." Oakpaw scoffed, crouching down to make himself a little closer to Tinypaw. Her aggressive little fit did not bother him too much, although he did make note to be a little more cautious with this she-cat,"I don't think a stick is going to help you, but I can go find out if you want, I guess."
The brown tom stepped away from a moment then returned with what Tinypaw had requested. It was a totally normal stick, about as long as his tail. He was not sure if it would snap or work but it was worth a try, "Before I help you out, I'm got to ask, were you really hunting that thing or what? I mean, I don't favor snakes, I'm glad to let you keep it, but seriously, why risk getting in trouble with MoonClan to steal one of them? Is SunClan really so desperate for food? Don't you have like a bunch of allies or something that could help you out?"

Gratefully taking the stick, she picked it up with her jaws and wiggled it in between her leg and the snake's jaws forcing them apart. The snake was already dead, but the stick would keep it from biting down any deeper. Her mother had been the high priestess, and had pressed upon her children the importance of basic first aid. Where the snake had latched on was to close to a very important artery. Perhaps she wouldn't bleed out if the snake was removed, but one wrong move and it could be life threatening. She would rather wait until she was under the care of someone more experienced than this apprentice to have it taken care of. At least with this, it would prevent it from doing any more damage
"Of course I was hunting it,snakes are one of my favorites" she couldn't help but to roll her eyes "its not about getting food for my clan, even though it will be eaten. Its for sport. Snakes are dangerous, its more interesting to hunt something that can fight back than mice and voles. My daddy taught me how to hunt them when I was still a kit, it was our special daddy daughter bonding time. I thought I would surprise him tonight, but of course I had to make such a rookie mistake" she sighed, her leg throbbing in reminder of her failure
"Besides I don't think most clans would have issues of me removing a dangerous animal from their territory that could hurt their apprentices or sneak into their camp and kill their kits."
"Eh, you've got a point I guess," Oakpaw replied while he watched Tinypaw work. He felt like he should be doing more, but it did not seem that this she-cat really wanted his help at all. In fact, he could tell she was very embarrassed, it was kind of cute, not at all behavior he would expect from a SunClan cat. He had never spoken to one before and was a little underwhelmed by the exchange. She seemed just like any other cat, not some religious fanatic, he hadn't heard her call out to her Sun god or whatever once even when she was struggling alone. It was kinda weird that she wasn't just removing the serpent, though. Maybe that was some weird SunClan tradition. He decided not to comment on it.
"I'll guess I should formerly thank you for ridding you rival Clan's territory of a hazard, miss...?" Oakpaw added, wrapping his tail around his paws.
