Why are you tempting me? Hottie's gaze turned back to her den then back at Littlestar. Den. Littlestar. Den. Littlestar. Den. Littlestar. Den.
"Hottie, where the heck are you going?" Autumngossamer asked.
Hottie looked back to Littlestar, oh that was why the den kept getting closer her paws just naturally were leading her to sleep, "She tempted me," Hottie said walking back over to hear an ear full from Littlestar.
"Hottie, I will not allow my clan to go blind to suit your amusement."
"And here I thought we were at that watch-your-clan-go-blind-to-suit-my-amusement level in our friendship," Hottie said.
"Well you're wrong, Littlestar doesn't like you that much, she only has powerful friendships with SunClan cats only!" Autumngossamer countered.
"Ah okay. So if I pass initiation then I'm able to watch our clan go blind for my amusement, I understand now," Hottie said nodding along with this, "I'll find a cure then."
Autumngossamer smirked, "Being a bit psychic I'm predicting that you won't."
(Autumn and Misty are average sized, however Misty can appear bigger because of her thick fur)
Divinekit startled as Bloodyrondo nosed her. With her eyes being shut, she hadnt expected him to touch her. Climbing out of her nest, she faced the tom with her eyes closed but sadness was clearly painted on her face. "I can't see...every time I open my eyes, they hurt and I cant see anything..." Her voice was close to a wail while her breathing began to quicken as panic rose inside her again. "Will I be blind forever?" She trembled as the thought set in.
(I think Im going to have one eye heal and the other stay blind)

SUNCLAN HIGH PRIESTESS
Littlestar managed to hold her tongue, although a string of several curses crossed her mind. Why must they all act like kits? She shook her head, as the cats around her fought for her attention. she might as well have called in her young litter the way this meeting was going. At least they listened to the words she spoke, instead of twisting them to suit their fancy. She stared at Bloodyrondo sternly until her turned to do as he was told. She would deal with her promised later, but for now she had bigger problems.
"Focus" she snapped at both Autumngossamer and Hottie. "Autumngossamer, I don't believe your bones are located in my den" she raised one eye, and then turned to the herbs she had stored in the main cavern of the den she shared with Bloodyrondo as she began to pull out what they would need "Celandine should help strengthen their eye sight, but it might not be strong enough to counter the effects of the eclipse. Here are some poppy seeds should a cat need to be calmed before applying the Celandine" she glanced back over her shoulder "I also have hops to help ease anxiety, but I would rather save those for the more extreme cases. Anything else I should grab?"

"Are you kits, or healers and Soothsayers?" Mountainsound's voice followed Littlestar, the Senator's voice downright annoyed, which was exceptionally rare, her blind eyes turning towards the direction of Autumngossamer's and Hottie's voices. "If you're going to keep bickering, please do us all a favor and leave. And if you don't, Sun God help you if you keep up these annoyances. I don't care if he gave you the powers of a deity, if this doesn't stop, you're going to be dealing with me." Perhaps that wasn't much of a threat. Mountainsound was no longer SunClan's medicine cat, hadn't been for a long time, though she had taught Foxbane, and the original Janus and Soothsayer about healing and cultivating. She was perhaps the only cat in the clan who knew every single tip and trick there was to know about herbs. Ignoring them now, she turned to the Priestess, forcing a sigh to calm down before speaking. "I'd skip the poppy in favor of chamomile or thyme, as they don't cause sleepiness, and perhaps use juniper for any pain. You can drip water from willow bark into the eyes to reduce blurriness, that may also help, if or when their vision returns." The feline offered gently.
Nightshadeintuition had followed Bloodyrhondo when the tom had gone to check on Divinekit, largely because his mother seemed quite busy getting ready to make heads roll. It seemed he was just in time to hear her most recent comments. "We can grab you something for the pain, if my mother or Littlestar doesn't get to it first. They will care for you, and if anyone can give you the best chance at regaining your eyesight, it's them." The blind warrior replied, blinking gold eyes slowly as he offered an encouraging smile. "You will be fine." He wouldn't promise her sight would return, but even if it didn't, many of his own family managed to be warriors while lacking in sight. Her life would be a bit more difficult, but with proper training, she would be as useful as any warrior.
"It's best to keep your eyes closed for now, Divinekit, and try to get some rest," Bloodyrondo said to the small kit after Nighshadeintuition was done speaking, giving her a few comforting strokes with his tongue. He gently picked her up by her scruff and sat her back in her nest. As confrontational as the tom generally was, he really has a soft spot for kits, and it tore him up seeing her so frightened when he did not have any answers to give her.
Turning away from Divinekit, he counted the heads in the nursery, "Is anyone else having vision problems? Err, besides you, Nightshadeintuition." He was glad to have the blind tom with him, he'd be great at calming down cats who had wholly lost their sight, but Bloodyrondo wasn't the best at thinking before speaking.
Divinekit swiveled an ear in Nightintuition's direction and listened to the tom speak. She found comfort in his words and Bloodyrondo's soothing strokes eased her nerves. She was grateful for the two tom's attention and nodded obediently to Bloodyrondo's advice. She wasnt usually a soft hearted kit. She was usually mean and a bully but after being shown kindness in her time of need, all she could do was be grateful for her classmate's help. She felt Bloodyrondo's teeth at her scruff and the ground disappeared. She curled up as he lifted her into the air and set her gently into her nest. The nest felt warm and welcoming. She melted into the mossy bed and let herself get comfortable. "Thank you" she squeaked to the two toms caring for her. "But I could use something for the pain...it really hurts..."
"Here, chew on these." Bloodyrondo replied to Divinekit, putting two poppy seeds right up to her mouth. They were very small and looked more like a flea than medicine to him, not that the kit had her eyes open to see. He had taken poppy seeds when he was young, too, when he snagged a claw while playing, and he trusted the medicine greatly. It was one of the reason why it was the first herb he reached for when he left the leader's den.
Divinekit sniffed it and recoiled. "What is this?" She asked, unsure if she should be taking herbs from anyone but Littlestar even though this particular cat happened to be the next high priest. Still, caution took over especially since she couldn't see what was in front of her.

"Did you seriously stare at it?" Why was he always hounded by this same kit? Nocturnesymphony covered Discordantkit's eyes with his tail, "Didn't you hear the initiate? You can go blind this way." As much as he scolded the kit, a part of him wondered why he even cared. Maybe he should just let the demon spawn go blind. Though that wasn't very Janus-like. Least he could do was lead her to the nearest den. "Keep your eyes closed and hopefully they'll go away."
Contaminatekit, meanwhile, left herself with no choice but to let the shapes and colors consume her. The sickly she-kit closed her eyes at first, but the mention of going blind made her curious. Curious enough to open one eye at first. But now both were and she... couldn't move. Even without her curiosity, she was so sickly and weak. What had once been a nice chance to sunbathe became a death sentence for her cornea. Despite it all, she barely made a peep.

SUNCLAN HIGH PRIESTESS
Littlestar dipped her head to Mountainsound, grateful for her intervention. She trust the old medicine cat with very little doubt when it came to medical matters. She more experience than anyone else in the clan, perhaps in any of the clans. She adjusted the herbs that she was grabbing and gave both Hottie and Mountainsound some bundles of the herbs that they would need "I will head to the nursery to check on the kits and queens. Mountainsound, would you mind checking on the senators and apprentices? Hottie go ahead and proceed to the warriors den and start there. After I have finished, I will move on to the next den to offer more assistance there"
She rose to her paws grabbing the herb bundle and heading towards the nursery when she spotted Contaminatekit staring upward at the sky. With a sigh she bent down and picked up the sickly she-cat "Lets get you inside the nursery" she murmered gently puttting the herbs with her paws into the nursery. She laid the small kit down before looking at Bloodyrondo "Who all needs treatment?" she questioned, knowing that he had plenty of time to check over the kits and queens
Discordantkit did not reply to Nocturnesymphony and just purred, happy for the attention. She was the kind of cat who received a scolding the same way she would receive a compliment. She also sort of enjoyed making the Janus fuss over her, he had the best reactions. She followed his direction and lightly leaned into his leg as her guide, only opening her indigo eyes once she could tell she was in the nursery. The black spots still plagued her, and she had a mild headache, but nothing that she was going to cry about right now. Discordantkit had enough faith in the Sun god to figure he would't let her go blind. Probably. "Gee thanks, big brother." She said as she padded over to the rest of her littermates, her black tail twitching ever so slightly as she merged into the chaos.

"Divinekit seems to be the most affected. I was about to give her poppy seeds for her pain," Bloodyrondo replied, pulling his paw away before the young kit could eat them. He was confident in his treatment in the short run, but it was hard to say if it would help much with the root of the issue. The Priest Promised had grown pretty reliant on Littlestar and wanted to hear if she approved of the treatment before he proceeded. He leaned down the Divinekit and meowed with assurance, "Wait here for just a moment, I will be right back."
The ginger tom padded over to Littlestar, "We should probably check all of the kits. Doctoredkit and Discordantkit were outside when the eclipse happened. I haven't heard them fussing much, though. Divinekit is in a lot of pain so I have been focusing on her. I have no idea what to use when it comes to the eye..."
Divinekit nodded obediently to Bloodyrondo. She wasnt sure why but she liked that tom. He seemed to be the only ones that treated her like an actual Sunclan kit instead of an outsider. He was nice to her and made her feel comforted. She relaxed despite the pain she felt. She knew she was in good paws especially since Littlestar was here. She had smelled her scent before the leader padded in but the sound of her voice confirmed it was her. The spotted kit perked her ears to try to overhear their conversation. She managed to hear the names of a couple of the other kits. Did they look at the sun too? Perhaps she wasnt the only one acting foolish. Maybe now that the others were effected, she wouldn't get in as much trouble.

"Good, lets start with Divinekit then we can give a quick check to see if the other kit's vision has been affected" but giving the small kit some pain relief was first on her list. She padded over and nuzzled the little kit "Don't worry Divinekit, we will get you all fixed up" she purred lightly, opening up the herb bundle that she had brought with her. She took out a juniper berry and placed it under her nose "Eat this, it tastes really yummy and it will help with your pain" she let her tail gently stroke the young kit's back soothingly "We will give it a little time to work, and then I'll have Bloodyrondo put some medicine on your eyes. It might sting a little, but only for a moment. The juniper berry will help you not feel it as much"
She dipped her head at Bloodyrondo "Can you make a paste from the Celandine? We will use water from the willow bark, and then use the celandine paste"
Divinekit nodded before sniffing the berry. It smelled tangy and wasnt sure if it was as good tasting as Little star said it was. Building up her courage, she lapped up the berry and chewed. It was sweet and a little tart but delicious. She swallowed and swiped her tongue around her lips. "Will I be able to see again?" Divinekit asked Littlestar, fear strong in her voice.
"Sure you will." Bloodyrondo replied to Divinekit, his back to her while her worked on the pomace per Littlestar's directions. His comment was more dismissive if anything, since he was now focused on creating his celadine pomace. He knew better than to give affirmation when it came to medical diagnoses but he doubted the kit would suffer any sort of permanent damage. The eclipse could not have been any more deadly than staring at the sun on a normal day, right? Divinekit also had her age as a benefit, kits always healed faster that adults, even from the most gruesome wounds.
His pomace finished, he pulled it closer to Littlestar and Divinekit, along with the willow bark. He turned his pale green eyes to the leader, wise enough now not to just jump into it without a proper explanation, "So, I should flush the eye with water, then apply the paste?"

"With a little luck, your eyesight will be back to normal in a few days" she purred, her tongue washing the kits ears comfortingly. Honestly, she wasn't sure that her eyesight would return, but there was no reason to frighten her. She might always have some damage to them, but she would see again. How well.. well that depend on how fast she healed, and the effectivness of the treatment. She nodded to Bloodyrondo "Now I'm going to hold your head steady while Bloodyrondo washes out your eyes. It might sting at first, but you need to do you best to keep your eyes open. Can you do that for me?"
"I-I can try..." she admitted, fear of having something in her eyes made her panic a little inside. She gulped nervously but allowed them to do what they had to. She opened her eyes the best she could, everything was blurry and bright and her eyes hurt but she tried hard to keep them open so they could treat them.

SUNCLAN HIGH PRIESTESS
"You are being very brave little warrior" she praised and she laid down next to the kit and placed their hand firmly between her paws. Even if she struggled, she wouldn't be able to move, other than to blink. "Just stare up at the ceiling, try to focus on something until your eyes are clean" she purred gently, trying to keep the little kit calm
Bloodyrondo lifted the willow bark up to Divinekit's eyes and squeezed it, watching as the cool drops trickled down into first the kit's right eye, then her left. He imagined it would feel very soothing and cool to the irritated orbs, "Okay, Divinekit, blink a couple times to flush out the water. Don't push yourself too hard."
Divinekit was soothed by Littlestar's calming words and stood still as Bloodyrondo dripped the water from the willow bark into her eyes. She flinched as she dripped in each one but it was over before she even realized it. Letting out a sigh of relief, she did as Bloodyrondo instructed and blinked. It stung at first but then the soothing came after. "Thank you" She purred, feeling much better.
(I was thinking that an infection could start in her eye or something so that she goes completely blind in one eye)
