Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
->The Winter Solstice. This is the day the sun is at it's lowest point in the sky. It is a sign to the SunClan cats that they are at their weakest point; prey is scarce and the clan is more prone to catching illnesses. It is the day that the Sun God is at his weakest, representing the eternal struggle between him and the Moon Goddess. As the snows begin to fall, SunClan has began to struggle to find enough food to feed the entire clan. However, the food shortage isn't extreme nor unusual for this time of year. They even managed to scrape enough together to help their allies with some meger amounts of prey.
->Yet a sense of uneasiness that always plagues them on the winter solstice is only heightened when the sun suddenly disappears during a solar eclipse. The cats of SunClan begin to panic, worried that the Sun God has been weakened to much by recent events and that the Moon Goddess is trying to seize the opportunity to take over. Autumngossamer, The Soothsayer, sees this as an ill omen and advises the clan to avoid moonclan until after the Winter Solstice. LINK TO PART 1
->As tradition, Littlestar gives a speech at nightfall before sending out the clans warriors in search of prey. Their goal is to bring back as much prey as possible before dawn. During this time the warriors fast to mourn the weakening of the sun god, while the queens, kits,and senators are allowed to eat what the hunting parties bring back. Suddenly cats within the clan begin to fall violently ill. Their temperature rises, they become disoriented, start vomiting, and are crumpled over in pain. Many of the cat loose consciousness, and those that remain awake beg for relief as the begin to seize. The sickness spreads quickly, but it only affects the queens, kits, and senators while the warriors of the clan seem unaffected. Even Littlestar and her kits fall ill, leaving the clan in the paws of the new priest promised Bloodyrondo and Autumngossamer. The clan scrambles to treat those who have fallen ill, but not even the strongest of their herbs seem to be helping. LINK TO PART 2
->They soon realize that the prey that had been brought back this night was the cause, but why? No one had fallen ill before this night, did the moon goddess try to poison the clan while the sun god was weak? The clan sends out patrols towards the moonclan border, only to find them celebrating and waiting at SunClan's border. The offer the sunclan warriors prey from their feast and small white mushroom that no one in sunclan has ever seen before. Assuming the worse, SunClan launches and all out attack on the MoonClan cats. Did MoonClan try to poison SunClan? Can anything be done to save those have fallen ill?
