Honeykit was collecting feathers this morning, asking the soldier if she could pluck the feathers from the remains of the morning meal. The other day she'd overheard that they would keep the nests warm for the youth and barons and had been hoarding them for days, intent of distributing them to the cats in need soon. This morning she sat with a small pile of eaten birds, carefully plucking the remains of meat from them before setting them aside.
Snowpaw was looking around the camp for some entertainment. He was currently in the middle of avoiding his duties as an apprentice. He spotted a kit that he knew doing something intriguing. Actually, he wasn't really sure what Honeykit was doing but he was intrigued nonetheless. He padded over to her in search of some answers.

The small cat looked up and spotted Snowpaw watching her, she spit out a blue feather and invited him closer with a flick of her tail, "would you like to help? I'm gathering feathers for nests." Honeykit wasn't good a socializing, preferring to just stay close to her mother. But as her time as a -kit wound down she found herself trying to be better at socializing with her peers.
This seemed fun. Snowpaw nodded "Yeah, sure, why not." Collecting feathers for nests? He definitely wanted to have a warm nest for the upcoming cold months, so he was in.

"Great," Honeykit meowed, looking down at her grim little pile of eaten bodies. "Um... it's gross work. We've gotta pluck the feathers and make sure they are clean, then dry them out more in the sun before handing them out, okay?"
