Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It was nice to have a bit of company for a change. Almast was sitting in Post Kilo alongside Jasmine, Aela, and Beryl. The tiny white she cat had grown tired of spending her days helping to care for the tykes and just when she had thought she would lose her mind, Jasmine had invited Beryl and Aela to join them for a bit. Her friend had even brought her a large squirrel to eat while they all talked and reminicsed on their tykehood.
"It's hard to believe that you are going to be a mother soon. It doesn't seem like all that long ago that we were all tykes ourselves." Jasmine was of course happy for her friend and prepared to do anything in her power to help her friend raise her little ones. Almast had seemed a little depressed here lately though so she had thought it would be nice to invite their friends to Post Kilo for a bit. She was hoping that between the three of them, they might be able to figure out what was bothering Almast and maybe even learn the identity of the father of her tykes. No toms visited Almast in Post Kilo like most expectant fathers would so she was genuinely curious as to who it might be and why Almast was so intent on keeping it a secret.

Mercenary Beryl & Mercenary Aela
Beryl smiled fondly over at her sister at Jasmine's comment. "I think I may be more excited than you, Almast." She purred teasingly and flicked her tail over the tiny she-cat's ears. Truth be told, she was ready for the tykes to get here and to spoil them rotten. The tough she-cat was known for her independent nature and hardy spirit, but she had a soft spot for her siblings and now their future babies. Her eyes flickered over to Jasmine and she winked, "You're next, you know?"
A warm feeling spread throughout Aela's chest. She was grateful to have the other three she-cats in her life. From playing together as tykes to reminiscing about the past, she knew their bond was sure to last until they were all Veterans griping about how their children never visit them. Yet, she felt a pang of sympathy for her friend. She couldn't imagine getting promoted then having to be stuck in Post Kilo all the time. It also had to be difficult keeping the father's identity a secret, AND not clawing his ears off. In fact, Aela found that difficult and she wasn't even the mother.
"What me?" Jasmine's eyes widened at the thought of having tykes of her own. Sure she was used to looking after tykes due to her position as a Raiser, but she honestly hadn't thought of having any of her own. She couldn't even think of someone she wanted to have tykes with at the moment. After all, most toms were afraid to get to know her since her father was the commander and very over-protective. She shook her head after a moment. "I'm happy as I am now honestly." As much as she loved her friend, Jasmine couldn't say she would want to be in the same position as Almast. If she had tykes she would want to be sure that it was with someone that would step up and help her. It was disgraceful that Almast's former mate would abandon her and their tykes like this. It was enough to make her angry which was something that didn't happen all that often.
"Just be careful who you choose if you go that route. Sometimes something you think will last forever just ends and your left to wonder what happened." Almast had let her gaze fall to the squirrel she was currently eating. "Honestly, I never thought we would end up like this. Reisi was always so kind to me. He would come to see me in the garden and even bring me presents from time to time. I don't know when the arguments started or how it got to that point." While hadn't exactly intended to give Reisi away, by the time she realized what she had said, it was too late. She was so used to telling the other she cats everything that it had just come out. Now she was just watching them, her blue eyed gaze travelling from one she cat to the next. Jasmine was staring at her with very wide eyes now as if she were slowly piecing together the missing pieces of the puzzle.
Reisi? Hadn't he always been with them as tykes and had even spent some time with them as cadets, but she had kept the fact that the two of them had grown quite close to herself until now. Jasmine couldn't imagine why Almast would have kept it a secret from them when she usually told them everything. At the same time, the anger she had felt only multiplied now that she relized the tom that abandoned Almast was actually a childhood friend.

Beryl's ears pricked up at the mention of their friend's name. Fire, mixed with a bit of hurt and confusion, burned in her belly at the thought of it all. He was the one who got her sister pregnant then decided to play hooky on being a father? Oh no, he was not about to do that to her sister. The black she-cat took a deep breath as she realized she was visibly bristling. Her eyes met Almast's and she sighed. "I'm very sorry he has done this to you." She told her, letting her rage subside for a moment. Her eyes then flicked to Jasmine and Aela. They were going to have to confront him later when they weren't with Almast. She knew it would only stress her out more.
Blue eyes widening, Aela could not believe what she had just heard. Her own brother was responsible for this? She felt shame burn hot on her ears for his lack of responsibility. It was certainly not honorable of a former commander's son, or of a decent cat in general. Her shock morphed into anger, yet she was also oddly happy. Not for the situation, but because that meant these tykes were also related to her. Yet, she could not shake the disappointment and fury at Reisi. Her eyes met Beryl's and she shared a knowing look. "I could throw him clear to the Blind Protector right now." She hissed, tail twitching irritably.
( lol I just decided to not use them past the first post cx )

"Please just leave him be. I don't think I can handle another argument. That's all we ever do anymore so it really is better this way." Almast had known that revealing that Reisi was the father would only cause trouble for him and even after all of their arguing, she honestly hadn't wanted to cause trouble for him. He had enough on his shoulders as it was. He was always telling her how difficult it could be for everyone to be expecting him to be something great when he just wanted to live life the way he wanted to. Sure it hurt that he wouldn't even come to see her, but she tried not to complain too much even though this entire situation had left her hurt and embarrassed.
Anger and sympathy were mixed in Jasmine's eyes. She was angry at Reisi for abandoning Almast and she felt sorry for Almast who had clearly been very hurt by his abandonment. She just didn't understand how Reisi could do this. She had never seen him as the irresponsible type. She met Beryl's gaze and gave a slight nod. Something had to be done no matter what Almast said. Things couldn't stand as they were. Reisi needed to take responsibility and take care of Almast and their tykes even if they were no longer together.
(That works better cx I suppose first posts and perhaps when another character is brought in would be good times to use a picture lol)
