Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
( strawberrycupid Hey look, I made the Jackson x Sun God thread. I'm doing all the productive things today! cx )
The deity had claimed city skies for his own. Or rather, it was really reclaiming them from a being that had simply taken up residence in the interim, while her followers had rested below. Well, now, their beliefs had been crushed, and he was free to walk this place once more.
He could still feel himself buzzing from Wanheda's power, and the large tom practically bounced around the skies that had once been Absum Lux's. A light giggle escaped his maw as he peered down into the League, though something seemed to stir in the corner of his mind. Some lingering power that was not native to this place. But the Sun God was in a touch too good a mood to be overly irritated, instead, he followed the threads of dark power with a hum, looking more like a curious kit than a deity who'd eaten another reigning deity mere days prior.

At one point in time, they were locked in the basement of the Crypt. An old crumbling building next to the estate the League used to call home. Until recently, they had to send parts of them out with other cats in order to observe the world. However, something changed recently. A power shift. One that reached farther than anyone expected. When they awoke from the rumble, they could stretch farther than they could in years. The Crypt had been surprisingly quiet as of late, and they got curious.
So they followed the scent, the trail really, of their once roommates. It took them farther from home than they had ever been, and the ground became harder as they slithered. Staring up at the tall buildings, they felt even more lost than before. They had taken the form they were most familiar with seeing, a feline drenched in black like shadows with bright orange eyes like the sun. Their power was significant, but they felt one coming from behind them that was stronger. This was no good, they didn't know where the rest of them was. The dark feline could only slip into the shadows and wait, wondering if they got lucky.
But they didn't. And they could barely see the power, as bright as the sun that stripped away their hiding place. It held something similar to what had sealed them, but it was so muted, it was unrecognizable except to one so familiar with it. They weren't a power of the sky, merely to the land and the shadows. Though even just the presence of this felt like everything had been stripped away.
"H-Hello. What is it you want?" The first of them asked, the only one brave enough to. There were so few, he may as well be the only one.
When he came face to face with the power he'd followed, his head tilted, blinking in slow recognition. Ah. It had been a long time since he'd seen them. Swaggering up with the walk of someone who so clearly thought they were on good terms with the crypt creature, his tail twitched. The razing light of power seemed to pull away to allow their shadows to themselves, and he wore a rather goofy smile. "Long time no see, Jackson!" The Sun God greeted. The being before him sounded nervous, and he wondered why. Last he heard, he wasn't so scary after all. Maybe Jackson was just being shy? That must be it. "It's been.. oh, how long? What shadows have you been hiding in?"

That power felt familiar, but it was one the current Jackson didn't recognize immediately. Somewhere, the one that held the memories was working through another. They were closer, but not enough to reach them. Especially with the Sun God's power swirling around them. The light slowly pulled away, letting more of them look at him. Those orange eyes split into their real forms; one a normal yellow that held no light in it, appearing glassy and dead, the other a dark and murky red that reflected the power in front of it. Every black hair shivered at once, something appeared to roam under the surface. All eyes were on him, only two visible.
Still, they were disturbed. With no answer as to why this being knew their name, it didn't take Jackson long to piece together their name. The guy practically walked around with an "I'm the Sun God" sign hanging off of him. They weren't as jostled, the power was obvious. They needed to play calm. Even if the Sun God knew them, it would be an easy feat to kill the gang of lesser demons for him. After all, these were his' skies now. Not that a creature like him showed any signs of trying to take it over. The same one spoke up, "Sun God. It has been far too long." The chorus rose and fell involuntarily. words viscous as they met the gaze, "We don't like the word hiding though. We were trapped in the crypt on League territory. A scheme of Wanheda's." They hissed, trembling at the memories of being stuck down there.
"Ah, well it's a good thing I ate her then, huh? I wasn't exactly sympathetic before, but now if there was a shred of doubt, that's all gone. Glad to have you back! Sorry you couldn't get a piece of her." Despite their nervousness, he seemed perfectly fine with familiarities. "So, any fun crypt adventures then? Surely with the cats around here you've been able to have at least a little fun?" He flashed a dangerous sort of smile, as though knowing anything Jackson was up to it was certainly no good. "Oh, you should come see my worshipers sometime! Well, more like come cause trouble? They don't need to know it's god sanctioned."
He paused a moment, then frowned. "Hey! Where's my nickname. Surely I'm still worthy of it?" The deity demanded, though he sounded more pouty and actually upset.

In their realm, there was no way for him to overcome the goddess. That's how it was. Even the strength of numerous demons didn't stand up to her. It never would, no matter the shreds of hope they clung onto. So when the Sun God just threw it out there, that he didn't just kill her, but ate her, it made every entity shudder. Surprisingly, they were sure even the stones on the ground and the shadows behind them shook. A mix of admiration and dread filled them, till they couldn't see quite straight. Every one of their spines were so swappable.
"If you call driving cats insane under no such pretenses, then yes, we've had some fun crypt adventures." It was one boon they had. There was no such thing as a mask for Jackson, they could do no good. It was almost freeing, and it cemented how much he fit with Primal Instinct. Though they felt rusty as they were invited, even with all the aforementioned driving cats insane. Not that the invitation was gonna be passed up, they would truly be crazy. "Of course. You've had it too easy since we've been locked up." Jackson's smile was sharper than ever, with too many teeth that made him look more like a shark than a cat. "We suppose you do, with letting us out. But, the one who has those memories is gone." There was no point in playing pretend, not to them. Unless it was something dumb like Sunny D or the like, they were gonna mess it up. Unconsciously, they backed up a bit.
