Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Hello loves! It’s finally time to hold these try-outs!
Since Uniqcrim has stepped down, Springclan is looking for a new deputy as well as a new Trusted! For those unaware, the Trusted is not a staff position, rather, a role-play position. These group of cats are the best of the best of what Springclan has to offer, whether that is in strength, bravery or wits!
We are looking for an ACTIVE site member, who is willing to be part of our staff team to help rejuvenate our beloved Springclan to it’s former glory! Please, do not be intimidated by the experience level question; we will mostly be looking at dedication to the site and site activity!
If you are interested in either position, please feel free to fill out the form below!
The last day to try-out will be DECEMBER 17TH, 2019

Username: Jetclaw Character name/description: Lightstep The mate of Cardinalheart, or Cardinalstar... if he even wants to recognize he was ever leader. Sadly she and Cardinalheart have had their difficulties, and it's lead to strained familial relationships with her mate and her children Dovewish, Cardinalsong, and Shininghope. She won't apologize for her troubles with Cardinalheart, she believes that when you have a position you have to step up. Despite her difficulties with her family, Lightstep is loyal to her clan, and she does love her family and her mate.... It's just not obvious when she's frustrated with what they're doing. This gray and white tabby she cat tends to be quiet and step lightly when it comes to matter of relationships and thus strives to maintain civility. But when actions impact others and hurt them especially the clan, that is when Lightstep speaks up. She's been around a while so she has much to impart still, and that she's more than a she cat with some strained familial relationships. She's a good listener and her striving to at least get along has led to her having few enemies. Though that does mean she has to suffer some interactions she isn't fond of. Lightstep bit back a sigh, covering it up quickly with a bite of vole. The tom she was sitting by spoke at length about the bird he'd caught. How large of a bird it was.
Yes, yes. It was all very impressive really. But the tom was clearly enthusiastic about it, so Lightstep maintained a serene calm expression, she'd had much practice after everything with Cardinalheart. Many cats had asked her about the strained relationship and Lightstep had been forced to laugh it off, or just look calm and shrug her shoulders and smile and change the subject.
Most cats loved an opportunity to talk about themselves anyways, so a little gentle prodding and redirection of the conversation went a long way.
She refocused as the tom mentioned that he'd made the catch where the abandoned monster had been and Lightstep chuckled.
"I see, so you caught it as it was going for that mouse?" Lightstep noted, citing part of his story she had heard to make sure he knew she'd been mostly listening. "Good eye, for spotting not only the mouse, but the hawk that was going for it."
The tom beamed with praise straightening up. "Thank you Lightstep!"
Lightstep got to her paws after finishing her prey. She gave a nod, "You're welcome, now if you'd please excuse me," She padded away before the tom could respond, eyes focused ahead. Seeing the younger warriors with such energy, it made her chuckle. Was she that young and carefree?
It felt like ages ago. Now it felt like life had such baggage, the numerous disasters SpringClan had suffered, her strained relationship with Cardinalheart and their cats as a result of her difficulties with their father. And she still had to strive to maintain an image of serenity.
She had experience, knowledge and so much to give SpringClan still. And with SpringClan having a new leader now, her gaze drifting to the leader's den for the moment.
They needed more her guidance and wisdom than her lightening her emotional baggage right now. There were priorities after all. There would be time when Leafbare lightened and things calmed to address her other problems. It would come.
Username: Dreamrain Character name/ bio: Etherealfire Cotton white fur with highlights of apricot striping on his legs and tail. His face has rosy apricot blushing around his nose. His fur appears as soft and puffy as a cloud. He is the eldest of four younger sisters. Being the eldest he has taken the role of becoming the maternal figure that is missing from his sisters lives. After the death of his mother Whimsicalmelody and uncle Paintedturtle, his father Elfinsight became distant from them and after awhile vanished. He is a soft, gentle, and maternal tom that tries to keep the harmony and peace among his family members. While he isn't a rule breaker like his siblings, he does right and fly under the radar and skirt the rules as much as he can. He also tries to avoid conflict at all cost. He loves knowledge and loves learning random facts and details about things, but when it comes to his work he gets lazy. He stepped away from his Medicine Cat Apprentice after his best friend died. “Come save me from walking off a windowsill or I'll sleep in the rain. Don't you remember when I was a bird and you were a map? Now he drags down miles in America briefcase in hand. The stove is creeping up his spine again, can't get enough trash. He took the days for pageant, became as mad as rabbits with bushels of bad habits, who could ask for anymore?” Whispers of willows and dreams of dragons, dragging him down to the depths of the diamonds. A curious creature with curious thoughts, he’s a rounded individual with a knack for the unusual. Imagination runs wild in his world of upside down, but reality is like a rattlesnake ready to wrap itself around an unwitting prey. Despite his shortcomings - social anxiety, separation anxiety, skittish tendencies and global paranoia - there’s a realm unlike any other waiting to be unlocked just beyond the gates locked tight within his heart and his mind. “His arms were the branches of a Christmas tree, preached the devil in the belfry. He checked in to learn his clothes had been thieved at the train station. Rope hung his other branch and at the end was a dog called Bambi who was chewing on his parliaments when he tried to save the calendar business. The poor son of a humble chimney sweep fell to a cheap crowd, so stay asleep and put on that cursive type; you know we live in a toy!” An orange and white munchkin with hazel green eyes, his appearance is just as bonkers as his personality; when he’s not spewing nonsense, he’s pulling faces, often without realizing it. ‘There is a place, like no place on earth. A land full of wonder, mystery and danger! Some say to survive it you need to be as mad as a hatter. Which, luckily, I am.’ Paul Cate's bought himself a trumpet from the Salvation Army, but there ain't no sunshine in his song. We must reinvent love. He took the days for pageant, became as mad as rabbits with bushels of bad habits, who could ask for anymore? We must reinvent love.”

Things are shapin' up to be pretty odd
Once upon a time, when the earth hung upside down and the moon relaxed into the warm waters of the ocean, he was born. The Upside Down, a Wonderland of extraordinary potential, it was what he called home. With a crooked smile, a bounce in his step and a song in his throat, he swam in the grass and strolled along the rivers that snaked through the skies, creating trails like hooka-smoking caterpillars. There was never a minute when he wasn't laughing at something or someone; joy ebbed off of him like liquid sunsine, dripping off of his orange and white pelt and into the dirt to fertilize blooming foxes with gloves.
In Wonderland, nothing was sad except for the clock in the ocean, whose grimacing face told of the stress of his job. In Wonderland, he was loved by all; their cheery little boy of daffodils and twinkling lights. But everyone must leave Wonderland to discover the pain of another realm, one located across the Mirror Realm. The journey was dangerous, with pockets of chaos full of sharp-toothed swans, but one was always grateful upon their arrival.
This new realm was gray and ugly, full of sorrow, its inhabitants filled to the brim with dislike for one another. He was tempted to fall prey to the grayscale kaleidoscope of this world, where everything was upside down and the flowers never sang or tickled him until he was crying of laughter rather than misery. But this was his purpose in this world; to paint this canvas the beautiful colors of his Wonderland until they were smiling as happily as every friend back home did.
Which started his journey in SpringClan.
In actuality, Madrabbit didn't remember anything about his past. To the orange and white tom, he had spent his childhood in Wonderland, a beautiful utopia built just for him, where he reigned as king and jester equally. At the same time, he had wandered from place to place, never staying for long, his memory shot into the ground. But that's what happened when you witnessed something your young mind and heart were never meant to. Many didn't have the heart to break the news to him, preferring to see his smiling face and hear his tinkling laughter as he made friends everywhere he went.
One day he'd understand, but that day was not today, and so with a skip in his step and new Wonderlandians at his side in this new world, he thought, just maybe, everything would be okay.
Username: lavellan Character name/description: Shatteredreign Everything before you, everything you know and love, could all shatter in an instant. One moment is all that it takes for everything to go horribly wrong, one breath is all it takes to end another. One step to save a life. In just a single second, the world can change before you even notice. You could happily be living with your family, far from any clan, unaware of the rest of the world. Then, a fire could steal everything you hold dear and toss you into the dangerous world, all on your own. This is what had happened to Shatteredreign. Afterwards, he had spent his life travelling, always in danger of starving if he couldn’t catch any prey. And he rarely ever did, in his half-dead state. His life had fallen, he became the shell of a cat. But he kept on. And he collected. Anything that looked old and antique, he would collect them. He would hide them, and return later when he had a more stable place to live. He only spent a moon or two at each location, never quite fitting in anywhere. No where willing to take in a dying cat. But, eventually, he met another cat, who caught what Shatteredreign considered to be a feast, and slowly he had regained his health. He was taught how to hunt, how to fish, how to climb a tree and fight off threats with his lithe body. He was taught how to live again. But even that couldn’t last, and soon he was on the move again. Always searching for a place to belong. Looking at the silver form of this tom, no one would ever guess the hardships he had been through. He hides his pain behind his flamboyant attitude, laughs off his oversleeping as just bad time management. Always hiding the pain in his golden eyes. Still collecting. Always collecting. Everywhere this tom goes, the smell of fresh rain follows, even in the middle of a drought. Just one more oddity Shatteredreign has to make him... well, him. Photo Reference of Character:here Position wanted?: deputy Do you have any previous leadership experience?: yes! previous leader of dayclan and nightclan, previous deputy of brookclan, earthclan, then brookclan again Do you have coding experience?: trying to teach myself Please provide a small excerpt of role-playing as the character you are trying out with: Golden tendrils stretched throughout the sky as the sun was just beginning to peek its head over the flowery fields of Springclan, and with it woke the silver tom. It was odd for him to wake this early, as normally he was one to sleep until the clan worried he had died, but he had a mission. It had been quite a few moons since Shatteredreign had decided to call the beautiful lands his home, which was still an odd feeling to him. Until he came to Springclan, he was never really welcomed anywhere, whether by others or just by feeling like an outsider on his own. Thus, it had become habit for him to hide his belongings somewhere that he believed others wouldn't be able to find them until he had found a place that he wanted to stay, and so far he had simply just been bringing them with him in his moving, just to hide them again. Now, though, maybe he would bring them closer. Springclan had begun to feel like home to the young tom, and the antiques he had collected could finally find their own place to belong.
So, with a deep yawn and grogginess still in his every movement, he made his way out of the den, ever so cautious to not disturb the others that were sleeping yet. Although Shatteredreign was a heavy sleeper, that didn't mean others would appreciate him noisily stumbling around when it was barely even daylight out. Once he was safely out of the den, he took a few moments to try to clear the sleep from his vision, unsure if it was supposed to be so blurry in the morning. The fresh dew on the grass was weird beneath his paws as he walked through the slight mist to the edge of camp, trying to recall the map in his mind of where he had hidden his treasures this time. I think I buried them by a flower field, he sleepily thought. Or was it by a cherry blossom tree.
He stared out into the territory beyond, which was full of both flowers and trees, even with leafbare last approaching, and shrugged. This was why he had woken up early, wasn't it? Heaving a sigh, Shatteredreign began his trek into the lands before him.
Character name/description: Snakeshudder A born strategist, in the big picture, Snakeshudder prides her mind above all else. She longs to understand everything there is about the world, even about the other Clans and groups. Stopping at nothing in obtaining information, Snakeshudder is more than happy to bend the rules a bit for the sake of knowledge. However, her loyalty lies strictly with SpringClan - although she is open to relationships outside of the Clan, she tells herself that it's purely educational. For the betterment of SpringClan, of course. She comes from a long line of proud SpringClan warriors and she is not about to let that legacy disappear. Snakeshudder is a lithe bengal she-cat, with light green eyes. Her paws are consistently dusting, due to her pacing when she begins to concoct a new plan. By no means is she power-hungry, no that would require much more than what she is willing to do. Although she is sociable, her relationships with others, even her fellow Clanmates, tend to be surface level; she doesn't like to talk about herself or talk about her emotions, especially those she doesn't understand or can't intellectualize. Of course, she's had crushes on a couple pretty she-cats - she's definitely done her time pining for either uninterested or unattainable she-cats -, but after a while, she decided to throw herself into understanding more about the world than worrying about pesky sentiments. However, her lack of developing deeper relationships has left her to overthink all her interactions and beat herself up for the tiniest slip or the tiniest indication that they are uninterested in being around her. For now, she's content with sticking to strategies, compartmentalizing and intellectualizing everything around her.
Do you have any previous leadership experience?: No, but I'm eager for new experiences!
Do you have coding experience?: I'm teaching myself bbc because I find coding fascinating, though I'm still learning the ropes!
Please provide a small excerpt of role-playing as the character you are trying out with: Snakeshudder muttered under her breath, as she paced along the edge of the Japanese Garden. Every now and then, she would pause, her ears pricked, before shaking her head and continuing her pacing. This was all wrong, there had to be a better answer than this. She had overheard one of the Apprentices gush about a gorgeous flower they had found just outside the garden, one that had never been seen before. It had been quickly determined that the flower had no special properties, though at the start Snakeshudder was captivated by it. Although she had felt a twinge of guilt after she had managed to convince the Apprentice that it was nothing special at all, she convinced herself that if she could discover why the flower the way it was, the Apprentice could have as many as possible.
Turning around, Snakeshudder lashed her tail, frustrated with this block. Of course, it was a silly flower that she could simply shrug her shoulders and say she had no idea what made it the way it was, but she, by principle, would not allow that to happen, thank you very much. It couldn't have just been a freak accident, no. There had to be a reason for all of this. A swirl of memories rose up within her, unneeded, though unyielding as always. Memories of her mentor, frustrated with how many questions she asked, incessant with her "Why?" "Why?" "Why?", engulfed her and she was left with a hallowed feeling of guilt, feeling like a reprimanded kit. Snakeshudder shook that feeling away, taking a deep breath and picking the flower up; she could now prove her mentor wrong, she'd be able to find the answers to the flower's mutation, adding it to her collection of answered questions.
