Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Bleakwind tensed, "You cannot seriously intend to try to kill a clan leader in her own camp?" He asked tersely.
Beetleflight though leaned away. That league cat seemed like bad news and honestly with how Flamingstar was acting, it was practically a dare for the league proxy to attack.
And he didnt want Flamingstar to die and all... But this seemed pointlessly risky in endangering their lives.
(Maybe there could be a fight but I dont think Flamingstar would allow herself to die. At least not without a hell of a fight lol! Flamingstar is just as brutal as the rest of the league cats!)
Flamingstar grinned and flexed her claws. "Yes, Sen. Will you kill a leader in their own camp?" Flamingstar knew that answer but she asked it anyway, just to see what the league cat would do.
Echomelody tensed beside Beetleflight, holding her breath as she watched the tension between the two cats get stronger.

( Very true. Sen just loves putting herself in dangerous situations where she nearly gets killed. Like when she goes after badgers, or dogs, or clan leaders, apparently. xD )
"Well, of course I would." Senescence leaned back into a sitting position, still that sudden, eerie blank, that suddenly made the she-cat seem as though the black lace along her fur was darkness itself, drawing in the shadows. "The real question is, are you even worth it?" She had fought Flame before, and she had kept meticulous track of the feline. Being the strongest cat in DayClan aside, she had an advantage over Flame. After all, the feline had never seen her worst fights, only the carnage they left behind. The skulls in her den, the torn apart remains of rogues, that sort of thing. There was a decent chance she could kill the she-cat, even with NightClan willing to jump to her aid. Of course, there was always the possibility she couldn't. Not that it had deterred her before.
(Lol yeah! It would be an interesting fight though!)
"Well, that depends on you. Am I worth it?" Flamingstar remembered having the chance to take the place as Proxy if only she challenged Senescence. However, at the time, Flamingstar had been too cowardly to challenge her. Perhaps today was the day that the ginger she-cat would prove her worth and show what she could really do. Then again, if she were to attack Senescence, what kind of leader would she be? She already had a few cats against her uprising. Would that bring more cats to betray her? If Senescence were to attack, then it would be self defense. If Flamingstar attacked, that would set a bad example and possibly lose followers. Flamingstar itched to rake a claw across Senescence's face just as she had once done to her. But was it worth losing her clan over?

( Very. )
A blink, and the void behind her eyes seems to disappear. The eerie stillness replaced by boredom that clearly conveyed the meaning. No. Flame wasn't really worth it. And even if she attacked, it wasn't worth Senescence really trying. "Would you accept that you aren't? That everything you went through, that that scar on your face, is all because I was bored, and you were the closest cat nearby? That you left your clan because you were weak, left Primal Instinct because you were still weak, and could only become leader of NightClan by digging up dirt on the leader's past and using that to turn their clan against them? That you're nothing more to me than filler. That even if I killed you, or you killed me, it was just to pass the time, and not because I care for you, when I can clearly see what you hold against me. You're just a toy. Can you really accept that, even as leader, your life is meaningless to me, no matter how you live or die? You really did learn nothing from your time in the League. I'd say I was disappointed, but that would be a lie."
It was the truth, but hardly one Flame would like to hear. The cat who'd made her life hell had done it, not even because she liked picking on the weak, but because she was bored, and didn't care one bit for the things she'd done. Senescence was a monster, and she would never claim to be otherwise. And Flamingstar just happened to be a convenient victim, who through mere chance, luck, or lack of effort, was still able to stand here today.
"Weak? Oh no, I'm smart. While you use fear and strength to take charge, I use intelligence. Nightclan wouldn't have taken me as their leader if I had killed for it." Flamingstar circled Senescence. "Perhaps I was weak once but I have turned into a nightmare. Thanks to you, Sen, you've created a powerful enemy." The Nightclan leader leaned in to whisper in Senescence's ear, "maybe you should have been careful to who you tortured. You should have known one day, a cat like me would become powerful enough to use you as a play toy." She backed away again and sat in front of the proxy. "And because I was in your district, I know you. And that, right there, is a dangerous thing." She smiled, wrapping her tail neatly around her paws.
Beetleflight was feeling so much anxiety over watching the back and forth between Flamingstar and Wanderingwight his breathing was starting to hitch. If a fight broke out would Flamingstar order them to attack the fearsome cat? Even if Flamingstar was seemingly confident she could take Wanderingwight, Beetleflight knew he was beat, but he and Echomelody were too close to be able to just slip away without being marked as cowards.
Yet watching this back and forth, and how these two danced on the knifes edge between simply talking and fighting, Beetleflight was beginning to feel ill with anxiety. He tried to start counting his breaths, remembering what Turbulentsea had taught him when he'd started having panic attacks following the earthquake. So he struggled to maintain his breathing, tail anxiously wrapping around Echomelody unintentionally.
Bleakwind remained in his spot beside his leader, unmoved by the discussion. Sure he had his misgivings and concerns about Flamingstar, but Soaringstar's arguments were far weaker and ultimately the she cat did not have the spine for leadership. Flamingstar was showing not only her spine, but her strength.
The question was, would it be for the good of NightClan in the end?
Echomelody felt Beetleflight beginning to panic and trying to calm his breathing. She felt his tail wrap around her and she felt warm under her fur but was worried about his anxiety. She leaned against him, pressing her flank to his in hopes to calm his anxiety. While calming her friend, she was watching Bleakwind and noticed how calm and patient Bleakwind was with Flamingstar. Perhaps there was something between them neither one knew was there.
