Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Briskfang was a senior warrior before he was a guardian, nearing the age most cats would be retiring. Indeed, his daughter had encouraged him to do so, and his old rival had already retired, but he was stubborn. He wasn't an old man yet and he was determined to prove it...
... even if that mean rousing his poor new students long before dusk.
"Up and at 'em," he grunted as he nosed Phoenixpaw, Frozenpaw, and Oakpaw in turn.
The small brown tom shifted in his nest opening his green eyes to peer up at Briskfang. The first thing he noticed was the sun shining outside, bright as ever. "No.. it's still day time." he grumbled trying to bury himself back into his nest.
"Aw, come on, Phoenixpaw, aren't you excited?" Oakpaw yawned, stretching out his front paws as he rose to his feet, "It's not every day you get the pleasure of daylight training."
He squinted at Briskfang's imposing frame, which was black against the sunlight at his back. His mentor was an intimidating tom, that was for sure, but Oakpaw was pretty excited to be trained by such an experienced Guardian. Maplestar knew how much Oakpaw admired the tom and guessed that that may have had something to do with his assignment.
The senior tom scowled down at Phoenixpaw as he failed to rouse. That one was going to need a strong paw to motivate him, he could already tell. The spoiled ones always did. Briskfang pushed his way deeper into the den and stood over the young tom and cleared his throat.
"Are you ready for training today, Phoenixpaw? I hope you're not planing on going back to sleep," he rumbled.
Oakpaw made his way to the den exit, squinting against the daylight, then turned his head back at Briskfang and the other two students. There was a distinct lack of movement from the latter. He was not so sure that this training was going to happen at this rate.
"Briskfang... err..." He began, chsoing his word carefully, "Perhaps we could have a one-on-one session? While these two think about getting up."
