Even though Littlebird was shocked at the recent revelation, it was important that she travel to visit their ancestors and recieve her nine lives to cement her new position. With Foxbane still around, it was only a matter of time before she would start to stir up trouble. She needed the clan to know that she was in charge now, and that her leadership had been accepted by the Sun God and StarClan.
Unlike the other clans that traveled to speak to their ancestors, Littlestar went to the Janus' camp and into their worship room where the Soothsayer communicated with the dead. She sat just outside, her tail wrapped neatly around her paws for Autumngossamer to invite her inside to receive her nine lives.

Though not yet seen, the Sun God waited, smiling in anticipation, a feeling that seemed to extend beyond the skies he resided in with those other cats that waited for Littlebird, down right to where the new Priestess and Soothsayer stood.
Autumngossamer led Littlestar in. Her ruby flaming colors kissing against her satin pelt with flecks of gorgeous bronze and silver light tracing the tips of her white fur like fairy lights creating an angel of gilded fire. Her sweet honey brown eyes flicked in Littlestar's direction, light and warm the way she showed few others. In the darkness Littlestar could still make out the red bleeding stripes streaming down Autumngossamer's pelt creating a look of a bleeding gilded tigress. The soothsayer sat down by the eternal flame, "Are you ready?" She asked, but she already knew the answer, Littlestar had waited a long time for this moment and she would not hold it off for anything. She didn't seem to wait for Littlestar and instead began.
(Y'know... It begins... I got no clue how SunClan's lives ceremony thing works. Help. Someone just start it xD)

LITTLESTAR
SUNCLAN HIGH PRIESTESS
Littlebird entered into the worship room, the eternal flame making her own paints seem to come alive as she glided over the steps of the stone alter to join Autumngossamer. She had thought that with time this place would have seemed less intimidating, but even now it was hard to describe the awe that it inspired. Her heart pounded in her chest as she gazed into the flames, burning brightly in the darkness. Foxbane had told her what she needed to do long ago, even though to a normal cat what she was about to do seemed rather extreme "I am"
The gray she-cat took in a deep breath, before extending out her paw. She hesitated, leaving it hovering over the flame for a moment feeling the heat warm her pad. The flame was real, she had seen leafs and prey become singed by it, and here she stood expected to trust the Sun God to protect her from harm. She closed her eyes, it was a test of faith that only those who truly believed and followed the Sun God would be able to pass. She slowly opened them, pressing her paw downwards and taking the leap of faith.
Suddenly the flames leapt upwards, engulfing her and Autumngossamer and filling the room. She held her ground, as shapes began to move among the flames

( Considering this is the first lives thread in new SC, I think this is new to all of us, tbh. Realistically, Fox just made it up, or the SG told her what to do and everyone just went yep, sounds about right. xD )
The flames were warm, flickering around them and licking up against their pelts, but the fire did not burn. And soon the shapes seemed to take form, flames melting away to reveal the Isle of the Chosen. It was warm and bright, inviting, with power that seemed to thrum with a chaotic energy just beneath the surface. It almost seemed as if the area had grown, which was perhaps not surprising as the Sun God had claimed what had once been Absum Lux skies for his own.
They sat upon a bluff, long grasses swaying underpaw, the air fresh and clear, untainted and soothing. It overlooked other parts of the Isle, a crater to the right with a massive column of multicolor flame coming out of it, though it seemed weaker than one would have thought, perhaps due to the time of year. To the left, a crystal clear lake that even from there, seemed to shimmer with otherworldly light. In between and beyond these two were green pastures, sunlit forests, glowing beaches, and bluffs not unlike the one on which they stood.
Light laughter however, broke the spell of the place, calling the cats from the cliff to turn and look, resting their eyes upon the Sun God, and a host of cats gathered to greet Littlebird. In particular, before the deity could even speak, three figures broke away from the crowd bolting towards their mother with delighted cheers.
"Congrats mom!" "Wow, you did it!" "We're so proud of you!"
Three kittens practically stuck themselves to Littlebird, half-moon old looking children, the forms of Peacekit, Hopekit, and Faithkit gleefully crawling all over the newly named Priestess, purring all the while.
"Welcome, you two." The Sun God's voice drifted over the cheerful congratulations, the deity a short distance away, watching Littlebird with amusement.

LITTLESTAR
SUNCLAN HIGH PRIESTESS
The high priestess couldn't help but stare in wonderment at the world around them. It was similar to their own, but at the same time so different. It was more beautiful than anything she had ever seen before, but before she could even have a chance to really look she was bowled over by the three shapes that rushed her. Realizing who it was she loosened up and allowed them to knock her over, a big and playful grin plastered on her face as they climbed all over her, a deep purr rumbling in her throat. She lifted her nose and nuzzled each of the young kits that she had lost. At the time it had filled her with anger and sorrow, but with time the wounds had begun to heal. She was still sad that they didn't have the chance to grow like normal kits but knowing that she could see them again helped to bring her peace of mind
"Peacekit, Hopekit, Joykit" she greeted them warmly "It is so good to see you" she took a moment just to enjoy the feeling of having them with her once more, as the cats with the Sun God watched their reunion. After a few moments, she rose to her feet, with all three little ones still clinging onto her. She dipped her head to the Sun God, before seeing the confused expression on Autumngossamer's face. "These are the three kits that I lost during my first kitting... The Sun God has been watching over them for me"
The kittens nodded shortly, before glancing at the Sun God, who gave an approving wave of his paw. "Let's begin."
Excitedly, Faithkit was the first to lean forward, still clinging onto her mother's neck. The she-cat looking like a miniature copy of Littlestar, but with short fur and bright kitten blue eyes that sparkled with happiness, as she leaned forward to touch her nose to her mom's ear. "With this life, I give you Faith." She purred, barely restrained glee seeping from her voice. "Faith in your god, your clan, and most importantly, yourself. Use it well, trust those around you, and never forget that you have what it takes, no matter how difficult things might appear." After a long moment, she bounced down, standing about a fox-length ahead of the leader and waiting for her siblings to join her.
Next was Hopekit, bearing the same eye color, but rich, thick brown fur, and a body that was oh so small. Unlike her sister, she splayed across her mom's face, front paws wrapping around the she-cat's muzzle so they could touch noses, though she threatened to slip off at any moment. "With this life, I give you Hope!" She announced proudly, the words ending in a light giggle. "Know that there is no obstacle that is impossible to overcome, and even in your darkest moments, use this life to remember that even if it's not what you expect, there is a light at the end of it all." A moment later, she finally did fall off, rolling in the air for the short distance she with a soft, "Whooah!" before she landed, tumbling forward into a sitting position that faced Faithkit. Then she stood up, gave a wave, and went to join her sister.
The last to give a life, was Peacekit. He was bigger than either of his siblings, but otherwise, looked the same as Hopekit did, not unlike Leatherstar, either. He was the only one to actually bounce off her first, turning to face her and stand on his hind legs to touch noses. "With this life, I give you Peace." He stated, his tone the most serious of them, though even then, it was more a grinning calm, than solemn. "May you use it well, that your heart is calm. Despite what your predecessor has shown, violence is not always the answer. Know that diplomacy and avoiding war can build bridges far easier than any battle can." He offered, giving her a parting lick before moving to stand at Faithkit's other side.
Almost at once, they waved their tails, standing still and grinning for a few moments before turning to race back to the Sun God's side, laughing and playing with each other all the way.

LITTLESTAR
SUNCLAN HIGH PRIESTESS
With each life that they gifted her, she could fell energy surging through her her body. A warmth that she couldn't quite find the words to explain. Even the designs on her pelt seemed to be glowing now, as she watched the three scamper back to play at the Sun God's paws. She had fallen into a deep depression when they had passed, even going so far as to blame the sun god for taking them from her. It had taken Littlestar a long time to come to terms with their deaths, and it was only we the Sun God had allowed to come and visit her that day in the sunflower field that she had managed to finally begin the process of healing. Seeing them here... giving her lives... it was surreal
A deep purr rumbled in her throat, knowing that they were in capable paws. She would be with them again one day, but until then they were happy and well cared for. They knew how much she loved them, and she couldn't have asked for anything more "Thank you" she called after them, as the next cat approached.
Autumngossamer watched Littlestar with her kits, she looked so happy and for the first time could understand what it meant that when you lose someone you lose a piece of yourself. The kits had run across Littlestar's legs, she had nuzzled each one, it was like watching an alternate timeline, a better one. She longed to will some power deep inside of herself to bring Littlestar's kits back with her. It wasn't until she saw Littlestar whole that she could see the pieces missing. It goes to show what a strong person her priestess was, she would have never guessed she had anything, but a perfect life, but she had great loss. She looked away to see who was coming next as a tear traitorously trickled down the corners of her eyes as she rolled her eyes wiping them. Impressive, though, it wasn't easy to get her to tear up unwillingly.
"I am Evanescentlight," A lunar white scottishfold said walking forward towards Littlestar, faint silvery stripes faded across her lightly like stardust, "Hello Littlestar, our time together was brief, I was a newly initiated warrior, I left everyone I knew in DayClan to remain loyal by Autumngossamer's side. I laid down my life to fight Renegade Regime mercenaries in their homelands. With this life I give you the ferocity of a raging sun, use this life to put everything you have into the people and things you love."
Evanescentlight leaned forward touching noses with Littlestar. A fiery passion exploded from deep in Littlestar's heart and as her heart beat faster the fury flowed through her veins, it was exhilarating, dangerous, but freeing. With each breath was more control, but with each racing heart beat the breathes became harder to deepen until all at once it left her system and soon it was just Littlestar and Autumngossamer, Evanescentlight was gone.
A large lion-like Maine coon stepped forward, stardust clinging to his pelt like he had just rolled in a field of stars. His honey coated eyes were warm and inviting adding to the flawless smile that pulled at his cheeks. The large tom halted before Littlestar, their size nearly matching. "I, Lionspirit, give you the life of Bravery." He touched his thick muzzle to her forehead. "Use it to face your fears and the dangers life will present to you to protect your clan and those you love." He withdrew, letting his words and the power run through Littlestar. "I expect great things from you, Littlestar" he purred before backing up to join the rest of the spirits that had already given a life.

LITTLESTAR
SUNCLAN HIGH PRIESTESS
Littlestar accepted the she-cat's touch gratefully as she tookon two more lives as well as the words of wisdom that had been passed onto her. Of all the cats she thought might be here to give her a life she hadn't expected a former DayClan cat to come,. She considered it a great honor, but before she could speak she was gone.
Her ears perked as a large gray tom emerged, standing beside the Sun God towering over her. Two mismatched eyes looked down upon her, sending her heart fluttering "Proudlion" she uttered in near disbelief. He had been killed on the same day as her parents, by Understar.. The cat who had taken advantage of the chaos to take WinterClan for himself and would have killed her as well. Proudlion covered the distance between them in a few stride a grin slowly spreading across his face "It's good to see you little sister" he greeted warmly, his voice thick with the accent of her ancestors. The shaggy tom lowered his to meet her at eye level the way he had done when she was merely a sickly kit "You have grown since the last time that we met, You may not be following the path that our father had planned out for you, but look at you now. Your coat all decorated, wielding near unlimited power within your new clan. I'm proud of you" he leaned in, his nose hovering just above her forhead, hesitating trying to draw out what time he had with her "With this life I give you Pride. Pride in your heritage and family, but more importantly Pride in yourself. For it was you and only you that turned you into the ferocious SunClan High Priestess that stands before me today" he took a step backwards, but unlike the other's he didn't disappear as an even more familiar face appeared on the other side of the Sun God.
The figure before her was large and intimidating, golden eyes piercing through her like beams of sunlight through a forest leaf. Yet, there was a gentleness there that was reserved for her and her alone "Daddy?" she blinked almost as if she couldn't believe that it was really him standing there, appearing more kit-like in his presence having to tip her head backwards to look up at him. She had so many nightmares involving him, of his hot blood spraying across her face as his throat was slit and he collapsed before her "Dad.. I'm sorry" she pleaded, eyes widening "Dad... I... it's all my fault. You died because of me, our family lost WinterClan because of me. Dad I.. I... forgive me" despite her desperate pleas, he stood stoned faced and unmoving. She felt tears welling up in her eyes "Daddy, please... Please talk to me"
"You shouldn't be asking for forgiveness dear daughter, it was only I that caused my death" his eyes seemed to soften, pulling her into an embrace "Everything I did was for you, for our family. I was blinded by my goals, so focused on the future that I was unable to simply enjoy those around me. When I lost my Littlebird, I lost sight of what truely mattered in life until it was to late to change the path I had chosen. He pressed his nose down on hers, his long whiskers tickling her cheeks "With this life I give you happiness. I hope that you find joy in your new life in SunClan, a family of your own to love and protect. Just don't let those little moments of happiness pass you by, revel in them. Cling to them. Treasure them"
"Only you?" Rolling her eyes, the feline leaped down from the stars and strode to join them. Her long cream fur was as elegantly groomed as it had ever been in life, her stride youthful and proud, yet the bloodstains had never left her throat. "There's his famous arrogance again. 'Only I caused my death,' tch," she clicked her tongue disapprovingly, "I do believe I had something to do with landing that killing blow. He never wants to share credit, though." Despite the crisp sarcasm in her words, there was nothing but warmth and affection glowing in her amber eyes as Hazethroat drew to a halt in front of her daughter and considered her carefully. She had been watching over her for many moons, but feeling her so close once again took her breath away.
"You look beautiful, my dear," she murmured, her eyes misting. "I am so proud of you. You've become so much more than I ever could have hoped you'd be." Hazethroat stepped forward and bent her muzzle against her daughter's, a low purr rumbling deep within her chest. "I love you Littlebird, I don't regret anything in my life because it all led to you. I wish I could have been there to raise you," she cocked a sad half-smile, "but you have become a better cat than I ever could have made you. I'm giving you a life of love; let it fill out and never be afraid to let it out. Let love guide all your decisions," she urged, "and they will not steer you wrong. Your father and I set love aside... and see where it landed us. Love your clanmates as fiercely as your mate and use it well."
All Littlestar could manage to utter was a purr as her family came to give her lives. Each and every one of them was fllled with emotions. She wanted to ask them so much, to spend more time with them... But before she could speak each one had gone "Brother... Father....Mother...." but it was the last words spoken to her that stuck a cord. They were proud of her... Her heart felt both full and heavy knowing that they were watching her from StarClan. She would have to do her best to honor them, to continue to soar high above their expectations.
