THE DEVOTED - SUNCLAN WARRIOR
Lovesmitten carefully made his way through the sunflowers that towered over head, like silent guardians of those that had passed on. Each sunflower here had been planted for a fallen SunClan cat, those who had lived, served, and died for their god. He couldn't help but admire how in SunClan, even death was beautiful. It wasn't the end, but the begining.
His mate had just revealed that although she was to afraid to carry a litter, that she did want to adopt kits that would need them. He had always wanted a big family, to be the father that he never had. However, he also had this nagging feeling that he might be a terrible father. He hadn't voiced his fears to Autumngossamer, after all he had been the one who had always wanted a family. He took a deep breathe and turned his head up to the sky "Sun God, give me strength" he whispered in a quiet prayer.
"Is something the matter?" While Flawedperspective was a losey warrior and one of the many children of Foxstar, she was a lovely listener. And the keeper of the graveyard. It was a task her mother had assigned her moons ago, just after becoming a warrior, in order to keep her out of sight. Though, she'd grown to love the task and tended to listen to the stories elders told of loved ones who'd passed, or even the warriors that came here. She knew most of the graves and their occupants by heart. Each one loved, cared for, and treated with honor. Currently, she'd been clearly the leaves from around the area away from the flowers, determined to keep the land beautiful for all those who wished to visit those they'd lost.

THE DEVOTED - SUNCLAN WARRIOR
The young tom had thought he was all alone, and jumped slightly at the sound of the other cat's voice. He puffed out his chest and shook his head lightly "Not exactly"he smiled, trying to reassure the other cat that all was well despite the welling doubt in his mind.
He paused looked down at the young sunflowers that she was clearing some debris away from. A clear sign that cats had been burried here not to long ago. WIth all the fights with the regime, and the stuff with pandora it made his heart sink. All that was left to mark their time here was these flowers. It comparison his own worries seemed rather small. He took in a deep breathe and sat down with his tail wrapped around his paws. "I should be happy, and I am. I guess I am just overthinking things"
Flawedperspective smiled sadly, "many think the same way. You'd be surprised how many come here thinking they should be happy their alive and not dead. But, they're not happy. They want their loved ones to still be beside them, to be smiling with life right next to them." The she-cat glanced at the flowers before her, a knowing look in her eyes. She'd heard the same from many cats before him, had seen it in many others whether they said it or not. Death and grief were things she'd become familiar with in the last few moons that she'd been managing the graveyard. It was a sad thing to realize, but she'd become an ear to listen as well. "You know, they'd be wishing the same thing if it was your flower planted here."

"No thats not what..." he trailed off shaking his head slightly "No this isn't about the dead. Well I guess it kind of is a around about way, but not really" he stopped himself and then finally decided just to tell her what was going on. She seemed wise enough, and kept to herself for the most part. She wasn't likely to go off spreading rumors.
"Myself and Autumngossamer were talking earlier, and she told me that even though she doesn't want to give birth to any kits that she thinks we should adopt a litter that needs us" he stopped thinking about how much it had filled him with joy "I have always wanted for us to have a family, but I respected her wishes. I had almost given up hope of having a big family, but she wants to have a family now to. Its all I have ever wanted" he smiled his heart thrumming in his chest
"But now I can't help but worry... Autumngossamer's parents were never really the best parents, so she is worried that she won't be a good mother. I think she will do great. She is kind, caring, loving, and will help guide the kits towards being true SunClan cats. Its myself that I worry over.... My father was never around, and my mother...." he trailed off looking into the sun flower fields. How did he explain what a monster she had been? How he had watched her beat up his siblings until they wished for death, how she had demeaned them, how she had tried to pit his siblings against one another... but instead they had banned together and put an end to the abuse. When he first became an apprentice, they had lured her out onto the territory and murdered her. No one knew but his siblings, it was a secret that he hadn't even shared with Autumngossamer.
Flawedperspective's eyes soften, she removed her gaze from the tom. First to her paws and then to the flower before her as she listened. When he paused, she took over, showing she understood. "My mother's Foxstar. She's never been the kindest to me, but I still love her. I pray constantly to the Sun God that she'll find love for me and that maybe we'll be able to be happy as a family. But until that day, I'm not welcome among my family." Turning her eyes away from the flower she'd been gazing upon, she continued, "do you believe me to be my mother? Are we truly alike? Many in the clan forget I am one of her many daughters, the forgotten flaw, the dismissed perspective. An outcast among my own family, and infront of them, my clanmates. I understand perfectly coming from something dreadful and changing into a beautiful flower." Smiling at the tom, she perked up, happy even with the grave topic. "You know, not every seed starts as beautiful but they always bloom into gorgeous flowers!" The small she-cat hoped she'd quialled at least some of his worries, and if not that he understood that she knew where he was coming from. Though Flawedperspective has no mate or kits of her own, she longs for them and prays each day that she'll be blessed by the Sun God to have such a life.

“Your not like your mother, but you also don’t have lots of your own...” he stopped, shaking his head slowly from side to side “I never had a decent parental figure in my life. What If I mess up these little ones as much as my siblings got messed up?” He thought about each of them and the scars they wore both physical and mental. “I want to be a good father, and a good mate. I want to be everything that my parents were not” he shuffled his paws “Am I making a good choice? Would the kits be better off with a mother and father with a better upbringing and experience?”
"The mere fact that you worry shows you care. And that is all kits need. Care, love, attention, understanding, the knowledge that you will be there for them no matter what. I have not known that once in my life, but I've listened t the stories, the whispers of loved ones and lost children here in the graveyard. I've heard it all, and each cat had the same thing to say, I love you, I miss you and I thank you for your love and life." Flawedperspective understood that though she had no children of her own or a mate to call hers she knew of the stories of those who rested in this graveyard. She'd heard them all, straight from the sources of those who they'd left behind. Surely, hopefully, that'd be enough to quiall any worries the tom may have.

"You are wiser than you look" he murmered approvingly, with a slight smile. "I suppose all we can really do is do our best and hope that things turn out alright in the end" he dipped his head, grateful for the advice and encouragement "I guess the next part will be finding a litter of kits that need us" he purred, imagining what they might be like. Would they be from a she-cat who died giving birth? A loner who could no longer care for them? Really the possibilities were endless
"I'm sure if you prayed enough and showed your desires to the Sun God, he'd be more than willing to grace you with kits in need!" Flawedpespective had blushed when he called her wise. The small she-cat didn't believe that for a moment, but she also wasn't use to compliments either. Her mother had disowned her and she'd received nothing but taunts and silence from most of the clan since. The one tom to have blessed her presence had called it off moons ago, and he'd been the first to give her any kind fo praise.

"Your right" he purred. The sun god had always answered his prayers. After all he could remember a time when he couldn't figure out how to get close to Autumngoassamer, and it was only after following his advice that the couple had managed to get together. "He always listens to us when we pray" he paused looking to the she-cat "what is it that you pray for?"
What she prayed for? "No..mine are...." How did one tell that they prayed for family, to be welcome, to be loved? That the mere thought of a mate and kits was so far out of reach that she couldn't even imagine it. No, Flawedperspective thought smaller. She'd just like it if her family, her clan would accept her was one of their own. Not outcasted as she was. "My prayers are a...work in progress."

Her answer was an interesting one, a work in progress? Did she not have something that she was looking forward to? Something to work towards? "Well since you have helped me, than perhaps I could help you with your prayers" he smiled, trying to find the right words. After all, how did one help with someone elses prayers? It was personal, something that was between yourself and the Sun God.
"I know Foxbane placed you over the sun flower fields, but she has stepped down. Littlestar is the High Priestess now. I'm not saying that you should give this all up, but what is it that you want to do? Close your eyes and try to imagine what you want YOUR life to be like"
Flawedperspective looked on, confused and...a little surprised that someone would offer to help her. Hearing his question, she looked around. Taking in her hard work, her life long dedication, it was an easy decision for her. "I enjoy my work here. It's..fulfilling." Hazel eyes looked upon her companion with hope and joy. "Thank you, but I'm not sure what else I would do if I wasn't here." She used her tail to jester to the field around them. "It's not as though I'm a good warrior, and I've found peace with helping others find their peace." But with regards to her prayers, how did she tell him she wanted what all others seemed to have? That the flaw of SunClan, Flawedperspective wanted a family, a lover, kits to call her own. Someone to make her feel as important as those who resided in this field.

"You may not know what you want TO DO. But that is not what I asked. I said close your eyes and imagine what you want your life to be like. Do you want a mate one day? a family of your own? power? to reconnect with your parents and siblings? How do you want to feel? Do you want to go on an adventure? Do you want to make SunClan great? What is it that YOU want for YOURSELF"
it was almost as if she had spent so much time thinking of other cats that she couldn't think about her own needs and wants. It was rather sad, and he wanted to help he in anyway that she could
