Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Dovewish nudged Cardinalsong for his rudeness but then perked her ears when the leader told her brother his thoughts for recruiting him to a new position. She began to wonder what the Pick Up Crew was. Anticipation gnawed at her. What was her brother going to have to do? Will Cardinalsong agree to whatever it was?
Finchwatcher stopped washing and turned her intense light green eyes on the leader with interest. A new position? That sounded interesting.
Cardinalsong's ear twitched signifying he heard his leader, having been midbite when his leader spoke. He took a moment to swallow. While it didn't sound like the most glamorous job, if he remembered anything from his father's time as leader support was necessary. So even if it was just wrangling apprentices and young warriors to tidy up camp, he'd rather be helpful rather than a hindrance.
So he dipped his head to thistlestar. "I will gladly help you with this effort." He assured his leader. "What will you need me to do?" He asked.
The intensity of his gaze remained unfazed as he watched the warrior attempt to hide this dismay in the plan. "Oh I have a few things in mind." Thistlestar pressed on, glancing around the circle of cats around him, noting each half eaten prey "We can't possible have a mess of bones, fur and feathers around camp, someone must be in charge of disposing the remnants of meals." He glanced back at the warrior's den, his expression unamused as he examined what he could see from the den "The moss beds aren't being replaced as often as they need to, that can't do." He glanced off in the distance, not in a different direction "The medicine cat's have been hard at work with keeping a fresh stock of herbs, I think they might need the help to clear their old inventory. "
"I mean there is just far too much to do before we can even consider throwing parties in the nights." Thistlestar turned back to Cardinalsong, his false mask of seriousness cracking with each moment longer. The leader could no longer keep up the charade. He gave the warrior a mischievous smile. "With your aid as the honorary Pick Up Leader, I'm sure the camp will be ready for all our late night parties we will be hosting."
Dovewish was about to insist that the apprentices could do all that but stopped herself when she realized it was a joke. Dovewish twitched her whiskers and looked at her brother to see his reaction.
