Fjordpaw fluffed out her thick, diluted-calico coat against the chill that had swept through the territory. She hoped, as she headed out of camp, that the sudden cold didn't scare the prey down into their holes. She was determined to impress Loststar, not only because she was her leader, but because she was her mentor too. Fjordpaw longed to prove herself, especially after living in her brother's goody-four-paws shadow for so long.
She trudged through the frost-laden undergrowth before the sound of a bird cleaning it's feathers in a nearby pond caught her attention. She smiled slightly and began to slink towards the creature, making sure to place her paws carefully...
