Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Rain had been pouring since morning and only recently came to a stop in the afternoon. Leucisticcrow was patrolling the borders by himself, checking to make sure no one came in with the flood waters. The tom hadn't been around DayClan in a while, not since his mate had returned to live with him. Leucisticcrow was a massive mountainous tom with slick black fur pressed up against his wiry body and muscles toned sleek and elegantly up his legs. His radioactive green yes dilated as the metal scent of blood touched his tongue upon tasting the air. He ignored it and kept moving, it probably wasn't an outsider, likely a fish that had cut itself on a rock when it was forced back by heavy rain. It used to happen often when WaterClan was around.
"Leucisticcrow!" Rubyflame's voice spoke up the ginger and white she cat trotting up to the tom. She looked him up and down. "Here for a visit?" She asked, trying to remember if he had been there for the whole apocalypse that had gone down.
"Yes, just making sure everything's in order, I can't let my son lose two clans," Leucisticcrow said matter of factly before relinquishing the criticism in his voice. He looked down upon few people, but he had heard about Rubyflame's roots. Maybe it was just his Revolution Group nature, but it was hard to imagine a kittypet ever fairing well with this way of life. But she was Immortal Council member and well liked. Neither of those things were easy. What was the point of judging her if she was doing her job?
"Walking more," Rubyflame admitted sighing. "IT's been a rough past few moons," She said turning away the slash on her throat from Foxstar clear on her white throat. "Apocalypses, murders. I'm taking a moment to relax, and don't worry, we'll do our damnedest to keep DayClan alive and well."
"Yeah, that's all pretty standard stuff on the other side of your lush two-leg nurtured land. It's more like junkyards, swamp lands, dark forests, anything you can eat can also kill you. It's why primal instinct doesn't have elders, no one ever lives to be old enough. I'm pretty old though," He admitted with a shrug.
Rubyflame tilted her head. "Would that maybe mean that the older cats of Primal Instinct seek greener pastures when they start hitting the old age?" She asked with a mrrow of amusement. Then she sighed. "And I know it's harsher in other places, but it's still a lot for DayClan," She admitted. "Granted. WE have been imprisoned by our neighbor, attacked by Winterclan and PI, for multiple reasons, cannibalistic cats thanks to that sickness, and now an apocalypse. What chaos has been happening in PI?" She asked conversationally, like she was asking about the weather
"Yeah actually, a lot of league cats leave and sometimes I find them as kittypets. It's humiliating to them, but a lot of times they have no choice. There's no warrior code so if they stay in the league and cats choose not to be kind and don't supply food they can't fend for themselves and can starve. They would rather leave and become kittypets than plead the league to serve them food because they're too weak," Leucisticcrow explained, "Personally I always figured that if I do grow too old that I would just come here or maybe Renegade Regime. Places like that allow older cats to still serve their clan in different ways."
He let out a bit of laughter at Rubyflame's comment, "Well uh. There's been a lot of drama in the league, does that count?" He smirked knowing she had him pegged.
"I mean, I was starting to hangout here now, but then my mate moved from WaterClan to the league and she actually likes it there so now I'm stuck in the league forever. yay..."
He seemed to perk up at the league drama, "Okay so like Jessica was all, you ain't my husband, and Brad was all, oh I bet you'd say that, who ain't your "husband" at this point? And she was all like, try, TRY to do better Brad. So Brad is bragging about hitting some chick up and Jessica actually grows a heart and is like, y'know I'm so happy for you. And he's like, that's great baby I'm going to be her mate soon, I'd like your support cause that she-cat I'm making out with everyone night is your sister. And like it's been devastating, poor Jessica y'know?"
Rubyflame blinked. WAs this actual drama, or was he making it up? "WEll to be fair, it sounds like Jessica brought it upon herself when she stated they weren't together, how can she be angry when she told him to separate from her in the first place?" Rubyflame shook her head. "I'm not saying there's nothing wrong with being frustrated or arguing, but I couldn't expect Fang to not get with someone else, or even someone close to me if I decided to declare him not my mate, that'd be on me. Though I suppose timing matters too." She mused.
"My gosh, I'm going to pretend I didn't even hear that," He smirked ear to ear before shaking his head and look away from her bashfully, "Ugh, you just don't get it, Jessica, was totally in the right, the guy needed to be put in his place, it's practically a she-cats job to dominate toms or else you get these lunatic league cats like we always do."
Rubyflame tilted her head. "But she didn't want him to stay with her in the first place? She said he didn't have a place with her and wouldn't be able to do better than her anyways, and then he went and did better how is it his fault for looking for something better when she laid the invitation at his paws?"
"Be-CAUSE, she obviously said that to encourage him to DO better. When a girl acts all snide like that you know it's a challenge, not her sending you away. He picked up on the wrong cues, I mean has he ever talked to a she-cat in his LIFE? Ugh, honestly, I swear toms can be so blind sometimes, feel bad for her truly," Leucisticcrow explained with a huff before teetering his head to the side himself, "Huh, now what were we up to again? Something about... Bloody fish. I could go for some fish," He thought aloud, his mind getting side tracked.
