Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Aching bones and stiff joints, how awful it felt to get old, though Coldfog would never admit to having such problems. The brown and white tabby tom was just as full of life as he ever was, at least that's what he told himself and his clanmates, despite his suffering from dementia. "Where are all the young cats, not one has come to visit yet." He enjoyed seeing the youth and students, they made the days less dull and from time to time some of the students even went on outings with him so he wasn't stuck in camp.
Mintsplash caught sight of Coldfog and smiled. Company was always fun, even if it was the company of someone just as old and senile as she is. She padded over to him, which took more time than she'd like to admit. Any young, healthy cat that complained about aching joints was going to feel Mintsplash's wrath. It is no laughing matter.
Coldfog lifted his head as a shadow cut through the patch of sun he had been laying in, seeing who it was that had joined him caused the frustration he was feeling moments before to vanished and be replaced by a smile. "Care to join me in the sun, Mintsplash? I was just thinking about how none of the young cats have come to see us today." he was having a good day, his memory intact for the time being.
Mintsplash nodded with a grin. "I would love to." Came her quick reply before she got settled. She lied down gently as to not cause her body anymore unnecessary pain before wrapping her tail around herself. The air was chilly in the camp, but Coldfog seemed to have found the perfect spot to be in. The sun gave Mintsplash temporary pain relief and for that she was grateful. "Yes, that is a little strange isn't it? No young cats coming to visit. Although I don't blame them. I don't much like being out when it gets cold either. I do enjoy their company though. It is nice to tell stories to cats that weren't around. Then you can have fun, you know, exaggerating here and there." She chuckled a bit when she said this, she did love wowing kits with her stories that were mostly true.
Coldfog let out a raspy purr as the she-cat settled down and began to speak, he did find happiness in telling the kits outrages stories, but things had changed since he was in his youth. "When I was there age I wanted nothing more than to be out and about, even on the coldest days, they don't raise like they used to if you ask me." The old tom let out a grunt, though his icy mint green eyes were still shinning.
Mintsplash replied with a nod and a grin "Not as tough as they used to be, that's for sure." She didn't know if she actually thought this or if she was just playing along to agree with Coldfog, but she really didn't care. When you get to be her age you have to have fun in everything you do, including making fun of the clan's youth.
He was happy that she agreed, nodding as he gazed out at the clearing in search of a young cat to call over when he spotted a small figure beside the nursery. "You there, come on over here for a moment."
Sitting beside the nursery, head turned up toward the sky was Northkit, her hazy amber eyes saw nothing but she pictured the sky how she believed it to look. She heard the voice calling out, but brushed it away not realizing it was directed at her.
