Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Stormyblizzard lifted her head from her nest and stifled a yawn, careful not to disturb the sleeping forms around her she stood and tiptoed out of the warriors den into the clearing. Her eyes were already bright as she scanned the area for someone to invite on a hunting trip with her, considering how early it was, not many of her clanmates were awake yet but she was sure someone had to be out and about.
Mintsplash had left the elders den early in the morning, wanting to stretch her aching joints. The cold tended to get to her and affect her body negatively. She missed her youth and the ability to go out hunting without having to deal with aches in pains. It had been awhile since she had been out of the camp and she decided it was worth the pain to get out this morning.
As she continued to wait, her eyes slowly following the same path over camp she saw Mintsplash emerge and begin toward the camp entrance. She was a baron and shared a den with her grandfather Coldfog, changing her plans the Winterclan crowned got to her paws and trotted to the elderly she-cats side. "Mind if I join you on your outing, Mintplash?"
Polarblast spotted the Heir heading out of camp. Having been cooped up for the last few days, he hurried over. "I'll be joining you." He left no room for arguing or even bothered to ask. His mother would surely be proud of him for forcing himself on an outing with someone so high up in the clan.
Stormyblizzard didn't stop, but turned her head to see the young tom who spoke. She had kept a watchful eye on Polarblast and his siblings, shocked at how quickly he had moved up in rank while his littermates where still only apprentices. "Itll be good to have some company, though you should know that I didn't have any exciting plans for this outing." She smiled at him as she slipped out of camp and into the snow filled terrain they called home.
A little disappointed, he still nodded. Maybe they'd come across something, or he could persuade the Heir to hunt with him. Anything was better than nothing. "Very well. Lead the way then." So their outing would be disappointing, what wasn't to him at this point? There were battles for him to fight in, no prey needed for the pile, truly he was bored. His skills had surpassed what others had expected and now...now he was at a stand still as to what to do.
The heir purred, happy he was still willing to tag along despite knowing it wouldn't be very productive, she was honestly just going out because she was feeling cooped up. "So how does it feel being a warrior? I'm sure your mother and father are very proud of you." She glanced back at him, her pale eyes curious. From what she had witnessed the tom was confident in himself and he wasn't lacking in skill, but there was something about him that rubbed her fur the wrong way.
"It is what is expected of me. Mother is very pleased that I've surpassed my siblings." Clearly, he was the alpha child of his litter and if he had it his way he'd be the next Heir. better to start making a good impression on Stormyblizzard then. Polarblast didn't look at the other cat, merely kept with the slow pace they'd taken to walking. His eyes watched the world as they passed, bored but engaged no less.
"Stormsurge has high hopes for you, and with time, hard work and understanding, you may very well surpass even those." She could see the great potential within him, but she could also see that he may be standing in his own way. So much pressure to succeed by his mother from such a young age, what would he do if ultimately he failed, would he be able to handle it and would it be caused by his own lacking. "Lets pick up the pace a little." She called over her shoulder as she took off through the snow, her paws kicking up white fluff as her speed increased.
(Phantom, do you wanna add anyone else to our thread? You're welcome too otherwise I can always tag cleaver lol)
Polarblast eyed the other warrior, really he didn't understand the hurry when the cat had expressed going for a leisurely walk. Wasn't this supposed to be relaxing? Though, he didn't really get what was so relaxing about a walk. The tom would much rather being practicing his fighting techniques than walking around like some ancients.
"I didn't realize you were so slow, I guess you can't be good at everything though." She looked back at the tom with a smirk, she wanted to see him push himself, see how far he would go to prove himself after being taunted or if he would restrain himself.
Harlow had been staying out of camp as much as possible; after Wiltedlily's death he couldn't bear to stand around and do nothing and think about her. Instead, he'd been out hunting for over a day and was beginning to lose track of time. The dark-furred tom dropped his latest kill off at the pile before he headed out of camp, his head down as he stifled a yawn, and came upon the pair. "Polarblast, Storyblizzard," he greeted, belatedly dipping his head in respect.
Stormyblizzard slowed her paws when Harlow appeared, stopping and looking at the tom with a smile. "Well, hello there Harlow." Her voice was slightly off as she took in a deep breath to regain herself. "What are you up to?"
In his exhaustion, he couldn't tell if he was imagining the strangeness in her voice or not, and send her an odd look. "Just heading out for a little bit more hunting."
