The days were finally beginning to settle from the flood that ripped through the survival clans, the refugees were, for the most part starting to relax and gain confidence in their new home and with all of the hustle wearing down the cats of Fallclan where getting back into their normal routines, Mountainspirit included. The senior warrior stood tall as he took in a deep breath of fresh air, his pastel white, orange and grey pelt ruffling in the breeze, he had just returned from a border patrol and was planning on going out hunting after grabbing a quick bite to eat. The large tom looked around camp as he made his way to the fresh-kill pile, something inside of him ached for company but who would give such an aged warrior the time of day when there were younger, much more dashing toms to be with.
Boldvictory had just finshed a morning walk and was arriving back to camp. She found a patch of sunlight to stretch in before she gave the camp a look around. It was relatively quiet, and all seemed to be going well. All of a sudden she was hit with a pang of hunger. She grimaced for a second, before looking up at the freshkill pile. She caught sight of Mountainspirit and padded over. "Hello." she meowed, cordially.

Mountainspirit turned his icy blue gaze to the she-cat and smiled, how strange that someone would greet him just moment after wishing for company. "Hello there, Boldvictory." There was kindness in his voice as he spoke. "Would you like to join me for a meal?" He asked, glancing at the pile of prey.
Boldvictory didn't even have to think about it. She let a smile creepy onto her face before answering with a nod and a "Yeah, sounds fun." She took the next few seconds to gaze over the freshkill pile, trying to decide what it was she was craving currently.

The pastel colored toms smile widened as she accepted and looked through the pile himself. "Having a hard time deciding? Why dont we share a rabbit?" At that he pulled a rabbit from the pile, large enough for two.
Boldvictory suddenly exclaimed "Wow, are you a mind reader or something? That's what I've been craving all morning!" She said this with enthusiasm, smiling to the older tom.

The senior warrior was enjoying Boldvictorys enthusiasm and positivity, he could feel it lifting his own spirits even more. "Well then, let's eat shall we, and perhaps after you would like to come hunting with me? I dont much like going alone."
"Yes, definitely" Boldvictory exclaimed. She enjoyed the older tom's company and he seemed to be enjoying himself as well. Boldvictory looked around for a good spot to eat, and set eyes on a patch of sunlight a couple tail lengths away.

Mountainspirit picked up the rabbit and looked at the she-cat as she searched for a place they could eat, as he watched her it was hard not to see the brightness radiating from her. She was so full of happiness and confidence, and with that something began to stir within him, it made him feel lighter than he ever had before. "Lead the way." his words were mumbled by the prey in his jaws, but could just barley be understood.
Boldvictory nodded, only having to take a few steps before settling in a bright sunny spot. She cast her gaze up to Mountainspirit with a smile, waiting for him to come over with the prey. As she studied his face she realized he had an air of strength and wisdom around him she had never noticed before.

Mountainspirit happily followed the she-cat, gently dropping the rabbit before settling down himself. "Thank you for joining me Boldvictory, I was rather lonely."
Boldvictory smiled as he said this. "Don't thank me, I should be thanking you. I was bored and hungry and you solved both my problems." She pulled the rabbit close to her before taking a bite, smiling at the taste.

Mountainspirit was happy he could be of service, and with a smile he tucked into the rabbit himself, enjoying the last bit of warmth that remained within the creature. "You're a fighter too aren't you? I'm surprised you agreed to go hunting, most of our clanmates don't take the time to learn outside of their chosen class." It was a shock that another fighter in the clan had taken the time to learn something else.
Boldvictory nodded. She had decided as an apprentice that she wanted to learn as much as she could, even if it wasn't needed for the class she chose. "I enjoy learning and finding new ways to spend my time." Boldvictory meowed with a grin. She took another bite with a grin and a sigh of happiness.

Mountainspirit gazed in aw at the she-cat "You're amazing." The words were out before he realized it, his ears warmed with embarrassment and he lowered his head quickly taking another bite of the rabbit.
This made Boldvictory's face heat up. A smile started to creep onto her face (or, rather, a smile burst onto her face) before she responded with a flick of an ear. "Not as amazing as you." She said with a wink and a flourish. She took another bite of the rabbit between her paws.
