Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Commander Raijin had been spending an increasing amount of time among the Guiders lately. At first he'd just been checking in on the healing of the cats brought in by the flood, but lately he'd also been starting to focus on learning about herbs a little more. He still didn't understand why the Commander was expected to know all four of the group's pursuits when there was a reason he didn't want to be a guider to begin with, and he was quite vocal about it, but alas he had no choice. The group was a stickler for their customs. At least he'd grown to enjoy the company of the funny little Chaman.... and it gave him a chance to get to know his guiders a little better.
As he sorted through herbs trying to identify them he suddenly stopped and shook his head, standing up with his whiskers flaring. "Honestly, this is impossible," the blue tom complained loudly. "I swear these are both comfrey. Don't you think so, Liam?" He hooked one of the herbs on a claw and held it up high for the other cats to see.

Cadet Liam had been engrossed in his work that whole morning so it took him a second to realize that Raijin had spoken to him. "Ah, uh, I guess so?" Was he supposed to disagree with the Commander? He mulled on it for a few moments before shaking his head. "Actually one is comfrey and the other one is goldenrod..."
He snorted, examining the leaf closely before shaking his paw and letting it drift back to the ground. "And which one is which?" Now that he looked closely he could see there was a bit of a difference in the broad shape and the dark color of the leaves, the ragged edge, but he didn't know what that meant. Not every leaf was the same color, so it could easily be from the same plant, right? There weren't any flowers attached to either to help him, they were shriveled from these old plants.
