Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. He'd been looking carefully to find the right cadet to start out with. Cadet Rose was a mercenary cadet, and she seemed smart enough to keep her mouth shut, but proud enough she might enjoy some special attention. So far he'd had few opportunities to see her in action, and it made him a little nervous to be arranging a meeting before he was confident in his assessment of her, but it needed to be done. A leap of faith had to be taken, so Commander Raijin had invited the young cadet to meet him in his den.
The blue tom was perched on the broad, flattened rock at the back of his nest, his keen blue gaze intently focused on the entrance as he waited for the young cat to arrive.

Cadet Rose knew this day was coming. She had a strong line of ancestors that included several former commanders, including her own father. She knew Commander Raijin would see the potential in her one day. She made her way to his den with confidence in her step, ignoring the quizzical glances from the other cadets. It was her time to show what she was made of. She dipped her head in respect as she entered the den before sitting down and glancing expectantly at Raijin.
His blue gaze lit up. "Cadet Rose," he greeted warmly, sliding off the stone and approaching her. He rested his chin briefly on her shoulder in greeting before he stepped back and looked her own with an appeased smile. "I'm so glad you came! I was looking foward to talking to you. How has your training been going?"
