LITTLESTAR
SUNCLAN HIGH PRIESTESS
Littlestar... how long had she waited to recieve the name of a leader? She had already been leading the clan in all but name for a while now, but the revelation that foxstar was just going to step down was a shock to everyone including her. It seemed strange to hear the crowd call her name.
Littlestar looked out over the clan, as the cat went about their buissness once the morning prayer was finished. The camp seemed lighter, happier even. Like a storm had passed through, and now the sun was shining down upon them.
"Littlestar," Bloodypaw mewed, approaching the new leader with a courteous bow before sitting down next to her. He was acting awfully familiar for a cat who hadn't really shared words with her before, but he had always been rather brazen, "The Sun seems pleased, gracing us with such warmth today." He yawned, his longer than average canines caressed by the sun's rays, then licked his chest a few times. The ginger tom had a long pelt that was quite a chore to maintain, yet he always managed to keep it well-groomed. He curled his fluffy tail around his paws and turned his pale green eyes to meet his leader's. They were sharp, focused; he was up to something, "Have you cleaned out your new den yet?"
(OOC: He's trying to see the leader's den because he's nosy and wants it to be his one day lol. Where is the leader's den, actually? Would it be in the Janus camp or somewhere else entirely? I couldn't find mention of it in the guides but I could just be blind)

Luckily for Bloodypaw, Littlestar was more welcoming than her predecessor. She loved seeing and teaching the clan's youth, so the brazen young tom was more of an amusement than an annoyance. A small smile tugged at the edges of her her lips as he spoke. Why she hadn't spent much time with him, she did know of his brother. "Yes, the Sun God seems to have seem fit to bless us with a beautiful morning. We are lucky that he has shown us such favor"
She could tell that he was up to something, although what she wasn't entirely sure. He had the same mischievous look her kits got in their eyes when they were about to get into something that they knew they were not supposed to. She decided to play along, curious to see what he had in mind "For the most part, although there is still some work to be done"
[The high priestess den is actually in the main camp overlooking everything. I just became leader this week so I am still filling out some missing details in the guide. If you notice anything else please let me know The high priestess and their promised share the den. It has two nest, and storage for herbs)
"I can finish up, if you'd like," Bloodypaw offered, his voice relaxed but a little low, "There's some really nice moss near the Ruins."
The ginger tom's twitching tail-tip was the only indication that he was anything other than calm, cool and collected. He knew he should not sound too eager for a tiresome chore like this, but that was easier said than done for a cat not quite seven moons old. Bloodypaw was definitely holding himself back a little.
He turned his face to the leader, his pale eyes meeting hers, but he did not look away. Normally that would be taken as a challenge or maybe even an insult, but this was more along the lines of begging... but with great confidence.

SUNCLAN HIGH PRIESTESS
Littlestar smiled slightly, noticing his twitching tail. Yes the cat before her was up to something, but it didn't seem nefarious. "Very well, as long as you have completed your training for the day. I can't have you slacking on your duties" she winked rising to her paws
"Go ahead and fetch the moss and meet me back in my den. I'm going to gather up the little ones, and get them settled in for a nap. Once they are asleep we can get some work done"
"Glad to help, Littlestar. I won't be gone wrong." Bloodypaw replied, getting to his paws. He held both his head and tail high as he exited the camp, emitting confidence in a way uncommon for most cats his age.
Now outside of camp, the ginger tom journeyed to the water-logged ruins. He did not particularly like the place. It was too wet for his liking, and the last thing he wanted to do was get dirty or have to reapply his body paint. Luckily, there was still plenty off moss that was easy to collect... although there really was no avoiding getting mud on is paws. Bloodypaw returned while the sun was still high in the sky but thirty or so minutes later, having spent a longer time selecting his Priestess's moss than he would have any other cat.
Bloodypaw sat his bundle down near the leader's den but was too impatient to wait there. He quietly made his way toward the nursery.

SUNCLAN HIGH PRIESTESS
Gently standing up, and leaving the young kits curled up in their nest she met Bloodypaw at the entrance to her den. She smiled at the moss he had collected, and the mud that flecked his paws. There was really only one place on their territory that would have resulted in such a mess. She motioned for him to follow into the high vaulted den that she had been sharing with Foxbane. The main chamber had little shelves cared into the walls where various herbs and poisons were stored. On each side of the main chamber was a smaller side cave. One for the high priestess and one for their promised.
She had been living in the smaller cave since she was kit, and the thought of moving into the larger one still seemed strange to her. It was there that she had grown up, and raised her family with skipstep. "Well start by repairing the nest in my new chamber. Where Foxbane has been gone for so long, it is in need of some repairs to make it inhabitable once more" she walked into what was going to be her new home and motioned toward the nest of sticks and twigs where old moss still laid. It hadn't been taken care of for a while, so much of the structure needed to be fixed. She had already gathered the sticks that they would need, and Bloodypaw had retrieved the moss.
Bloodypaw's eyes were the size of saucers as he entered the Priestess's den area. It was truly the best of the best, large with cubby-holes for storage, the herbs putting off a sweet scent in the air that could not be found anywhere else in the territory this time of year. He could see himself spending hours here organizing the supplies, decorating the dens, making it his. For a tom he was very meticulous and had an eye for beauty.
"Wow, it's much larger than I was expecting," He meowed honestly. He suppose it made sense, seeing as it was not uncommon for the Priestess and the Priestess Promised to share their dens with their close families. The ginger tom padded into the Priestess's den and sat down his moss, then immediately started to pull out the old moss, wiping the mud from his paws off on it. He then paused, becoming very aware of the leader at his back, his tail-tip twitching ever so slightly, "Did you want this nest extended for your family, or have any other special requests? I can do this on my own."
He did not want any help with this task, he thought he would do a better job on his own, but it's not like he could tell his leader that. His eyes were getting that same scheming sharpness they had when he first approached Littlestar earlier that day.

"I will leave you to it then" she chuckled, amused by his insistence on independence. There wasn't to much trouble that he could get into in the empty den, as nothing much had been done with it yet. "Just remember that Skipstep and my kits also sleep with me" she winked and returned to the main cavern to get some of the other organization done with the herbs and to finish setting up a few patient nests. They were rarely used, as she preferred to see her patients in the treatment den, however she did keep a few nests here just in case there was any patients that she needed to keep under close observation. She hummed lightly, one ear flicked towards where Bloodypaw worked. Curious to see just what the young cat was up to.
Bloodypaw went straight to work. He loved bringing order to disorder, especially when he had executive control over the subject. Sure, to most this was just a nest, but to him it was a potential work of art, with a little emphasis on work. He cleaned out the remaining moss and replaced all the damaged or rotting sticks with Littlestar's new ones. He was done fairly quickly. In fact, most other cats would have stopped at this point; however, Bloodypaw was not quite happy with it. After pacing around for a few minutes, he began shifting the arrangment of the stick, switching some, removing some, interweaving them much tighter than they had been when he first started.
By the time he was truly done, nearly 45 minutes had passed. The result was a very handsome nest, most notably thanks to the woods of different shades mixed each other, like a calico on a stealth mission. It had higher walls that the average nest (to account for young kits) but a lower main entrance. He would have liked to have gathered more moss and some wildflowers to really dress this up, but he held back.
"I'm done, Littlestar." Bloodypaw called, sticking his head out of her new den, "I'm sure you will like it," The ginger tom was covered in bits of moss and general dirt and smelled a little musty, but there was fire in his eyes. He was proud of himself.
[ Littlestar does not have to be impressed fyi my heart won't be broken, up to you ]

LITTLESTAR
SUNCLAN HIGH PRIESTESS
Littlestar looked up from her sorting, and made her way into the side chamber that would be her new home taking in the sight of the new nest that he had placed together. While it wasn't perfect, it was clear that the young cat had put a tremendous amount of effort into crafting it. She could see how much time he had spent weaving the different woods into a pattern. Bloodypaw had even raised the height of the sides to make it more difficult for her kits to tumble out while they slept. Over all she was very pleased with what he had created, for most apprentices would not have taken so much time and care in creating something so seemingly insignificant. Most just hurried through the process, in order to get on with their training.
"I can see that you have put a lot of effort into crafting my new nest, and I appreciate that" she smiled warmly, lifting up a paw and gently removing a piece of moss that had clung to his red fur, unable to help herself. Motherly hormones from her new litter still surging through her body "Your attention to detail will serve you well in your training, as long as you apply it in all areas"
"You know I will, Littlestar," Bloodypaw replied, pleased as punch to get praised by Littlestar for a job well done. He purring ever-so-slightly and she removed the debris from his fur, proud of himself for doing so well. After all, he had not done the chore just because he wanted to do something nice for the new leader - Now, whenever Littestar settled into her nest at the end of the day, she would be reminded of his hard work. While the leader herself did not pick who would be promoted into the Janus camp, surely her favor would play a part,"Is there anything else you need done? I'm free for awhile yet, unless Honeysplash wants to surprise me like he did the other day..."
