Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Finally, I've gotten away from her." Northkit let out a sigh of relief as she was at last freed from her mothers watchful and scowling gaze, able to wander the clearing as she did each day with Stormsurges permission. It was growing more and more difficult to hide her blindness from the queen as she grew, keeping her eyes cast down and never making eye contact was causing her more trouble with each passing day, but she had already made it this far and she couldn't give in now. "What a life, if only I had born to someone else, anyone else." She let out a huff and followed the sounds and scents around her until she was at the fresh-kill pile, it was no secret that Stormsurge was a tough parent and each of her kits handle it differently, Northkit was sick of it though.
Lost deep in thought, the fluffy grey and white she-cat continued walking passed the pile of prey, her senses distracted as she let her mind wonder until she ran into a solid form, knocking her back. How could she have been so careless, who did she run into.
The ungraceful sound was followed by a soft thud, as not only Northkit, but Stellarkit also fell from the impact. There he had been, eyeing the fresh kill pile for the best mouse he could find, when the next thing he knew something had rammed into him. Now, he was on the ground, and rather embarrassed by his voice as it rang out through the camp. He cleared his throat fast, trying in vain to recover from his wounded pride. He had half a mind to just run from the situation, but what would a prince do? Biting his tongue, he stood up, then moved over to Northkit to try and help her up as well. Sometimes, he felt he should be praised by his quick thinking. "Who do you think you just ran into, anyway," he muttered, the words meant only for himself, but as he was at Northkit's side, there was no way that she could have missed them.
The she-cat shook her head as the surrounding sounds vibrated to her ears, the sound of whomever she ran into hitting the ground as well as their rather loud voice as it happened. Her ears flattened until the ringing subsided and got to her paws as she gathered her senses and where she was at, her blind amber eyes opened and out of habit remained cast to the ground as a warm presence neared her followed by a voice. Snarky much. he sounded like her brother Polarkit, all mighty, but she knew from his voice who she had knocked over. Did he know her secret? No he couldn't, no one knew except her littermates... how ticked would he be if she acted like she had no idea who he was? Let's see just how snarky you are. "Hmmm, afraid not, what's your name? Maybe it will jog my memory. "
