AL X PI PLOT PART 5
Octavia has been acting strangely and the Absum Lux cats are ready to strike back. A war is about to break out when a completely new character comes into the fray and changes everything. Vanilla had had enough. She was sure most of her fellow Coalition members felt the same. What the League had in numbers, they failed in knowing the area and just how tenacious Absum Lux could be. There was no doubt in her mind that Funk had done something to Octavia. Something bad enough to where the latter couldn't even speak properly about the events. It made her blood boil. Admittedly, she didn't have much faith in this working, but she could see it clearly. This is Wanheda's desire, they just needed to see it through. Strown around the main camp were groups of cats near the exits of the church, each unmoving, unblinking. Vanilla was stationed more in the center, laying around like nothing was happening and trying to calm her nerves. ~~~ The air was far too cold this time of year. Funk E'tan knew something was up, but nothing could have prepared him for what was to come. Everything had been tense since Octavia was released from the Shaman's den, the atmosphere had only become more and more uncomfortable. This wasn't the main hub, but he certainly felt trapped inside it along with the small group he had just had for a meeting. His heart thrummed as several pairs of eyes watched him, where he could only stand strong and keep that third eye open.
Myst raised his gaze from where he sat, the Pathologist having wandered into the 'camp' not long before, hoping to find some cat dumb enough to go swimming with his catfish. He wasn't dumb, he felt the atmosphere in the place. Something was up, but since he was only Absum Lux by blood and not loyalty he'd been, correctly, sided with the league he'd not heard anything about this rebellion. But still. His pelt prickled from the tension and he wondered what would cause that thread to snap. - Enigma wasn't with the Absum Lux group, he was in the rafters watching.. always watching. He'd been excluded from the coalition's planning but he still had loyal kin that had filled him in. This was sure to be a blood bath, one he planned on avoiding. He didn't plan on risking his place in the league.. whatever that may be.. in a fool errand. - Envy sat next to Vanilla, her ears twitching as she waited for the battle to start. She was young.. but she'd had enough of being treated like trash. They'd rise up here or die trying.

Rancor and Ire weren't the strongest members of what Absum Lux had been, Rancor especially as a former permanent charged. Even so, both were rather sick of the League in their homes, and were willing to do anything necessary to get rid of them.
Senescence was rarely in the church. Considering her history, some would suggest she should have burnt up upon stepping inside of it, but she didn't appear so lucky to go out that way. The Proxy didn't seemed bothered by the cold, sitting up among the old beams much like Enigma, and watching as the tension grew below. She'd warned Funk about the worsening attitudes of the former Coalition cats, and was keeping an eye on those that stood out. Including those already gathered in the 'camp.' Her district had already been told to always keep the former Absum Lux cats close, and she didn't doubt that most would be close enough to hear any sounds of battle, if they weren't already within the walls of the decrepit building.

"Gee. What a pain." Funk muttered as more and more Absum Lux members caught his eyes. He knew of their worsening attitudes, of the whispers of rebellion, but this wasn't quite what he was thinking. Maybe like a debate or him getting kidnapped, not being watched from all angles by glaring eyes. Any obvious exits were blocked by warm bodies and he could feel anticipation hit him like a freight train. Descending the steps to the main floor and gathering place, he approached the center. There was no running away, not anymore. Annoying. Taking a deep breath, he finally spoke.
"To who do I owe the pleasure of this gathering?" There were more of them than he realized, but his voice gave no hint of fear, "Let me hear your ideals if you have the voice to go behind your claws."
~~~
Vanilla's eyes narrowed. What a fop of a leader. It was laughable. Even at his words, the following silence was deafening. She waited for someone else to speak, but when no one did, she stood up. A few paces away, she was the first to speak up, "We want you league cats gone."
“Really?” Elyon purred slipping out from the shadows and seating herself at Funk’s side the assassin running her tongue over a crimson colored paw, having been busy tending to the bone garden earlier. “And how do you plan to accomplish that? A band of rogues brought you close to ruins, do you honestly think you could take the league?” The arrogance of youth and pride in her accomplishments made Elyon straighten her back blue eyes gleaming. “It will certainly be a bloody conflict, does AL have enough to spare?”
(*rubs shock pads together* i’m bringing This back to life. CLEAR! *shocks thread*)
"Even if it's useless. Or foolish. I'd rather die standing for what I believe in rather than living in fear. And especially under you." Vanilla knew that, the plan was foolhardy and likely to end in death. She barely avoided it with the rogue attack. But now she craved it, to be with her dead friends and family in the coelum. Her heart pricked, some part of her knowing she would be unable to beat the pain. But she asked anyway, "Am I alone here?!" The church echoed with a groan, voices rising into a turbulent whirlpool.
