The Survival Clans' flood and Pandora's earthquake do a number on the Regime's tunnels. Raijin has been particularly urgent about getting these fixes in case of trouble, and after some arguing with Shule, they finally get started on the repair work. As they unblock the tunnels some of the mercenaries begin to notice strange tracks around the blockades, little tunnels around the rubble or holes dug through it -- like some cat has been passing through. They alert the Commander but he doesn't seem concerned, waving it off as likely just cats that were washed into the tunnels trying to escape.

Meanwhile, Raijin has been arranging secret meetings with the cadets. He listens carefully to the groups and finds the most suitable cadets for his work, even promoting some to Head Cadet or promising a future as a spy/sentinel. He asks them to do simple tasks, like carrying prey or herbs through the tunnels, or the ones he really trusts will meet up with rogues to escort them through the tunnels to escape some 'unsafe situations'. Eventually he employs more and more cadets to smuggle increasingly dangerous items through the tunnels and into other clans' territories. The Regime re-establishes their old alliance with the League and begin to work with them. The cadets are rewarded greatly and each delivery is paid well (prey, herbs, crystals, time off, fun twoleg things, etc.) and they keep most of the rewards. They're the envy of the other cadets. The adults know something is wrong but they aren't sure what. The cadets are good at keeping secrets and they're enjoying the special treatment Rajin gives them. Feel free to have adults looking around and start to investigate!

tl;dr, Commander Raijin is teaching cadets to become smugglers. This is a fun excuse to use your cadets! You can set up romance plots with buyers, use the tunnels to have your forbidden mates meet up, whatever you'd like. They're using Crescent Hollow as a stash for anything they're in the process of moving, so you can also just have cats hanging around there keeping watch.



This thread is to sign up for a cadet to be a smuggler. Once you do, you'll be given a recruitment and/or smuggling thread to start roleplaying on. Feel free to make your own as well! Cadets can be caught by adult cats if you wish as long as they convince the other cat not to tell Mercenary Superior Shule yet :P Feel free to use characters not on the page!
