Two beetles desperately tried to scuttle away from Praetor-chan but the small cat only allowed them a few precious mouse-lengths of freedom before recapturing them. He'd been playing this game with the beetles for awhile now, allowing them to almost escape only to hunt them again and maim them just a little bit more. Praetor-chan liked to think this was a weird, off, frightening thing to do but he was part of Primal Instinct, so torturing bugs was anything but frightening. But he was young and small and unsure of what else to do.

Einheria had quickly risen to Resident over her siblings. As a kitten she too had tortured random bugs she found wandering the old mansion. She remembered a time her father had brought her and her siblings a mouse to play with. She hadn't participated, but had watched her sisters chase it around. "What are you doing?" She asked when she approached the youngling.

Praetor slapped a paw down on a jewel green beetle and looked up, yellowy eyes bright with mischief, "seeing how long the beetles can live." To illustrate his point he lifted his paw and the beetle jerked pathetically while he stared down at it with a mad twinkle in his eyes. "Do you wanna help?"
