( A serial killer has been killing cats in the Regime for days now. No one knows who it is, but cats, when they leave alone, are found dead hours later. Now, a mysterious earthquake that coincides with Pandora & Bluejay gaining their power is raging it's way through the Regime's land. Cats are trying to escape, but lone cats are getting dragged off as they try to get out of the tunnels, and all those who see the killer suddenly find themselves hunted while trying to get themselves to safety! Just because a cat sees the killer, doesn't mean they get killed, but now is a great time to kill off your cats! In the end, those who witness the killings tell the rest of the RR cats, but unfortunately for them, the killer disappears without a trace. )
Cats were dying at an increasing pace. Just yesterday they discovered the body of one of the Mercenaries, and when the ground began to shake, cats were staring agape at the body of Millennium lying in the center of HQ. How it got there without a trace of the killer, no one knew, but before they could really investigate, the earth moved beneath them. It started slowly at first, and then with increasing vigor, until dust rained down on them. "EARTHQUAKE! EVERYONE EVACUATE!" Superior Shule's voice rang over the sounds of cats as chaos took over the tunnels. Cats fled in all directions, but soon, cats realized there was nowhere safe.
Mercenary Slite's body laid across the ground as cats escaped, blood splattering the walls in a manner too deliberate to simply be chance. Humming and laughter seemed to echo through the trembling halls, and no one knew who was next.
She laid in wait, using the sudden confusion to keep herself moving about, picking out cats as they broke off from the group and striking when they least expected it. She would make him proud!
( If you would like to kill off your characters, or create characters to die, just remember to mention that they can be killed! )
Scout Sundial crouched, trembling, at her sister's body. It was too soon after the loss of their mother, she feared she couldn't handle another loss so soon, but it was too late. Her pleas had gone unanswered and as she buried her face in her cold fur she just hoped the she-cat had found peace before her end. Peace might elude her the rest of her life, but at least her family could be at rest now. She looked up blearily as the ground shifted and snarled beneath her paws and cats began to flee. She couldn't move, she simply refused to leave her family again.
Scout Hurricane scrambled from his aunt's funeral as the world shook. He took off down the tunnels, catching a fleeting glimpse of Slite's body as he went. The tom swallowed hard, but there was nothing he could do right now. He had to find his family, had to keep them safe. He found Mercenary Fortune and stuck close to the larger tom's side as they slunk further into the tunnels.

(Poor Timerous' family, just getting killed off left and right. xD)
As she circled 'round once more, she came upon a sister to the body that laid, forgotten, in the cavern. Dust showered them, and the barely off-white feline bounced up, concern written over her face. "Come on, Sundial! You could get killed out here." Her voice was the epitome of concern, kitten sized paw extended in an unspoken question. No one could suspect her, and perhaps that was what made it all the better. Not one had any inclination she was capable of such atrocious things.
Mercenary Undertow's ears flattened from the earthquake, eyes narrowing as the earth shook. This was new territory for him, and he could feel his heart pounding in his chest. But he forced himself to maintain a look of impassive calm even as everything went to heck around him. He noticed Sundial and another cat trying to urge her away from the dead body of her... sister? He wasn't sure, he hadn't been in the regime long enough to know.
Well, another cat was trying to urge her to her paws, it wasn't Undertow's problem. He turned and located a group fleeing and he followed after them.
Guider Cassidy noticed Sundial as well along with the cat beside her. Immediate concern made Cassidy move towards them, if Sundial didn't move she could be at risk of perishing from the earthquake as well.
"And I could get killed out there too," she murmured softly in response, her voice almost lost to the rumbles and fear around them. The earthquake could fell any one of them, but only a moment ago, this cavern had been densely populated; they wouldn't be in any danger of the killer from here. She glanced up only slightly at the concerned young cat, and spotted Guider Cassidy heading toward them as well. She let out a little sigh, remorsefully touched her nose to Millennium's, then nodded and swayed to her paws.
"Okay, okay," Sundial told the pair reluctantly, "let's go."
(rip millennium, i was this close to learning how her name is spelled)
Guider Cassidy let out a sigh of relief, the sandy colored she cat relieved Sundial had seen sense. "Thank goodness, let's go, who knows how long before the earthquake ruins a tunnels integrity to where we can't get out."

The moment Sundial turned her back, the tiny cat struck. Sharp claws dragged themselves across, or rather, straight through, her carotid artery, and blood blossomed there in an instant, just barely out of the line of the sudden spray of crimson that arched over the area. She hadn't even noticed her fellow Guider nearby, not until she had already moved and the feline fell into her peripherals, voice ringing out over the din of the earthquake. The bengal paused briefly, turning her head towards the other cat. Cassidy could not be allowed to make it out alive.
The tortoiseshell she-cat stopped abruptly, wavering on her paws as she gradually became aware something was wrong. Liquid heat ran down her throat and her legs didn't seem to want to obey her anymore, still and stubborn at first, and then slowly she was sinking toward the ground. Her eyes caught on the bright red around her, more than there had been when it was just her sister, and a curious hm caught in her throat. Hmm, she thought as she hit the ground, and then finally she seemed aware of her own impending death, perhaps because the pain was finally catching up to her. Sundial shifted to her side to look at the guider, wondering if she ought to ask for help, even though her murderer was still quite close and that seemed quite dangerous for them both.
Cassidy jumped back as the smaller cat latched onto Sundial. Her mouth opened to demand what exactly the other cat was doing, when Sundial sank to the ground, a pool of blood forming around her. Cassidy's eyes snapped towards the bengal cat who had just inflicted fatal wounds to Sundial, stepping back, tail between her legs horror filling her as it dawned on her. She could already tell there was no hope for Sundial, she was in the paws of the Blind Protector now.
And with that Cassidy turned to flee down the tunnel, mouth opening to call out for help, or warning.

She turned without a thought to ensure Sundial would die. The she-cat knew full well it was a lethal strike, the blood proved it even if her own knowledge and skill weren't factors. There was no coming back from it. Soon, the Scout would be meeting the Blind Protector and seeing her mother's face once again. For as small as she was, tyke in size, but as dangerous as they came, she sprinted after Cassidy at an unrestrained pace. She needed to die.
Speaking of her mother, the form took shape, invisible from the world of the living, but entirely visible to her daughter, on the verge of her own death. Millennium stood beside Timerous, an ever cheery figure, even in death, and both stepped forward to guide her on, though Timerous expression seemed as though she were desperately trying to keep it together. Seven of her kits. Five kittens, and two of her older children already. How many more lives would be claimed?
"Help! Murder!" Cassidy cried, desperate for anyone to hear, running as fast as she could manage. She was not the fastest of cats, hence why she'd become a guider, more keen to heal rather than anything else. But please let the Blind Protector give her speed and her voice strength, that someone might be up ahead or might hear her and come to her aid.
She could hear pawsteps behind her, gaining on her, and Cassidy's breath caught and she quickened her pace desperately.

If there was one benefit, it was that Cassidy hadn't started shouting the name of the feline chasing her. Well, it wasn't a benefit for the fleeing Guider, more so for her killer, and the tiny cat's sharp teeth flashed as she bounded forward, slowly closing the distance. Benefits of being of a family that most often was filled with the deadly and occasionally demonic. Only a few more steps.
When she felt close enough, she pressed forward with one last burst of speed, kicking off and launching herself at Cassidy with a hiss that was lost to the rumbling around them. "Shut up!" Her gentle voice was sharp and disturbing, a tone the striped feline had never had before now. It made one wonder if she'd always been this way, simply hiding under the guise of kindness she portrayed.
Cassidy cried out as the smaller cat crashed onto her. Cassidy flailing and winding up hitting the ground in her panic to get the murderer away from her as best she could. Yowling for help.

She wished she had herbs nearby. There were some stashed around to help silence cats, but in this particular instance, she couldn't really afford to wait. "Shut up, shut up, SHUT UP!" The blue eyed feline hissed, pressing down on Cassidy's throat as her claws dug in, trying to crush her fellow Guider's windpipe and break into the jugular at the same time. She didn't even really pay attention to the paws up around her, solely focused on ending the cat at her feet.

Brilliance only heard the strangled cries barely, the ceiling caving above her as she followed behind the small group. She looked over her shoulder occasionally, some compulsive need to make sure everyone had gotten out. But, there was no way. And that was a twisting knife to the gut as she could only continue. They could get lucky, the killer could get crushed here. But the spy had a feeling that it wouldn't be so simple.
