Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(This thread is one of the three that covers the impact of the SC and DC apocalypse on NightClan, in this one cats start noticing a storm is on the horizon and come running to inform Soaringstar)
"Soaringstar!" Beetleflight cried as he barreled into camp. "Soaringstar, there is trouble on the SunClan border! Fires have broken out there, and we have spotted a mass exodus of cats!" Along with the smell of burning flesh that would haunt the young black tom for a while.
At the mention of fires in SunClan, Soaringstar immediately came out of her den, blue eyes wide. "Fires?" She said. "Any signs of it spreading?"
"I'm not sure Soaringstar, I just know SunClan's on fire." Beetleflight said.
Soaringstar grimaced. "We should check and make sure they're all okay. Beetleflight, fetch Flamingsoul." She said.
Then she turned to head to the main cavern. "Cats of NightClan, please gather in the main cavern!" She called. Not bothering with the official summons.
Flamingsoul was coming in from a hunt, two mice dangling from her jaws. She had seen smoke on the horizon and was going to inform Soaringstar when she got back but it seemed as if the news had already reached her. She had come in just as Beetleflight was coming to get her and as Soaringstar was calling for an announcement. Flamingsoul quickly dropped her prey in the pile and joined Soaringstar in the main cavern.
Echomelody was in the medicine den getting a thorn out of her paw when the sound of Soaringstar's call hit her ears. She rushed out and into the main cavern. She took a seat beside Beetleflight, her bold green eyes wide with concern. "What is going on?" she asked, not really asking anyone specifically.
Umbrahound and Shadowfeather joined them, both their ears perked and alert at the urgency in Soaringstar's tone.
Beetleflight turned to Echomelody as she sat next to him. "There's fire in SunClan and DayClan," He said a bit breathlessly, fur lying flat and his tail twitching with nerves.
Soaringstar waited for most of the clan to assemble before lifting her head. "Cats of NightClan, there is fire in SunClan and DayClan. It has not yet crossed our borders but we will likely have cats fleeing into our lands. I am going to take a patrol to see what we can do to help our allies,"
"But what about the fire?" Bleakwind asked.
"We will take care to remain aware of the fire's location. We will not stray too close. But if cats need our help, we need to be there. SunClan was nearly left in ruins from a fire almost 8 seasons ago I've heard. Fire is a threat to all of us." Soaringstar said firmly. "I will be taking a patrol. Who will accompany me?"
Bleakwind stepped forwards brushing his tail along Turbulentsea. "I'll go, you might need a cat who knows herbs." He said. He cast a glance at Turbulentsea. "Best you stay here to care for the clan," He told him gently. racer
Soaringstar nodded. "Thank you Bleakwind, who else will come?"
Frozenfire huffed sweeping her kits close to her and leaning over to Ericanorth. "Love that we're ready to risk our necks for clans that didn't lift a paw to help us when that Earthquake hit. Guess it wasn't a big deal to them." She hissed to her mate. Faith

Turbulentsea nodded "Yes, and Ill go ahead and get the herbs ready to be moved at a moments notice in case the fires spread this way. Hopefully they will not move past our borders"
Divinepaw stepped forward "I will go!" he responded bravely puffing out his chest
Bleakwind nodded grimly. "Even though we do live in a cave system, if the fire spread to here smoke could potentially wipe us out." Bleakwind agreed. "Do you have some cobwebs to spare? I might want to take some." He said.
Stealthclaw looked worried when she heard Divinepaw speak up, the gray she cat glancing back towards him, worry in her amber eyes. While Soaringstar merely nodded in affirmation to Divinepaw and waved her tail for him to join the growing patrol.
Stealthclaw hesitated, then she nodded. "I'll go too." She said stepping up beside Divinepaw.
Once upon a time she too had been a determined and eager to prove herself apprentice too. She also had a little more life experience than Divinepaw. She couldn't urge him to not go, so she would instead accompany the patrol and work to keep him out of harms way.
"Flamingsoul." Soaringstar meowed turning to the deputy. "I want you to remain in camp, fires are unpredictable and if disaster should fall and the fire should spread, I will likely have to take my patrol further down the territory to escape it, whereas you and the rest of the clan must make for the mountains. StarClan forbid the flames hit most of the forest, but if they do, the safest place will be the mountains."
Flamingsoul dipped her head and nodded in agreement, "Yes, Soaringstar."
Echomelody stepped forward, "I will go, too, Soaringstar." She was small, quick, and clever. She could get into small places where the others may not be able to.
Soaringstar nodded to Flamingsoul, then she beckoned the volunteers to join her at the cave entrance. "All who are accompanying me to help our allies, join with me now!" She said.
Bleakwind had fetched some cobwebs that he held in a leaf bundle he carried carefully. The tom moving to join Soaringstar ready to go.
Beetleflight brushed alongside Echomelody, "Take care," He said softly.
Stealthclaw moved to join the growing patrol as well.

Turbulentsea disappeared into his den to look for some herbs
Divinepaw bounded up to the assembled group with a big grin, excited at the prospect of such an exciting mission. He nudged his mother slightly "You worry to much mom, it will be fine"
Stealthclaw glanced down at her son letting out a purr. "Of course, it's my job." She said lightly giving him a gentle nudge. "It comes with being your mother,"
Soaringstar nodded as the rest of the patrol assembled. "All right let's move," She said waving her tail to signal for them to follow her, and then she took off up the winding path for the surface.

"I wouldn't have it any other way" he giggled lightly, after their conversation not so long ago. Divinepaw nuzzled her "And don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you"
Echomelody felt a flutter in her stomach as Beetleflight brushed against her. With a purr, she touched her muzzle to his. "Dont worry. I've faced two-legs and managed to make it back to you. I will always return." She gave him a quick lick on the cheek before rushing off to join Soaringstar, casting one last look at Beetleflight before disappearing up the path.
