Getting to know the cats in charge was a requirement of her position, Earlybloom knew. But beyond that, she genuinely hoped to get close to Wintrystar and Stormyblizzard. The three she-cats had many similarities and Earlybloom felt a tremendous amount of respect for the new leader and the new deputy. The last few moons in WinterClan had been turbulent and things were not done changing, but WinterClan was strong and had a lot of potential to be stronger yet. The Sovereign, Crowned and the Witch were all new to their positions, a monumental change for any clan. During this time, especially, Earlybloom wagered that the clan needed a strong and united front. Perhaps her, Wintrystar, and Stormyblizzard could provide that.
Feeling optimistic, the young Witch padded out of her den and into the camp, scanning the sparse amount of cats for their Sovereign and Crowned. The brief conversation the three cats had had were warm and respectful, leading Earlybloom to believe this was a good match. The power held in a clan ought to be solid and able to cooperate, something Earlybloom very much wanted to demonstrate for her clanmates.

"Oh mouse-dung!" The frustrated call came from Stormyblizzard, she was standing near the edge of the clearing with her head bent back as tried desperately to grasp at something on her back, releasing her grip quickly as pain shot through her skin. "Earlybloom?!" Her voice rang out as her eyes swept over the camp, landing on the very cat she had called out for. Thank goodness. She moved her paws quickly, approaching the clans witch. "I need your help, Earlybloom. I've got something tangled in my fur, a thorn, or maybe a stick? I can get it untangled and every time I touch it it stabs into my back more." Without waiting for a response she turned to show the she-cat an incredibly knotted section of long, thick fur, the skin below it glowing red with irritation.

Earlybloom was a carefully calm and collected cat, not easily given to surprise, but Stormyblizzard's abrupt appearance and very obvious discomfort momentarily startled her. It took a heartbeat to regain composure but when she did she leaped up and inspected Stormyblizzard's fur, "it's a bur, and a large one. I'll be right back." The Witch sprinted off to her den and appeared again after a few moments, carrying leaves in her jaws. "Okay," she meowed, spitting the leaves out, "I'm going to use dock to make your fur slick, it'll be easier to untangle the bur from your long fur. At the same time, dock is good for soothing skin."
She took the leaves in her mouth again and chewed the leaves up, putting them into Stormyblizzard's fur. The slimy leaves probably felt awful in her fur, but it would sooth the irritated skin. Earlybloom used one claw to tease the bur out, freeing it after several minutes and tossing it on the ground, a large brown spiky seed covered in green leaf slime. "There you go," Earlybloom purred, "it should feel much better soon."
Stormyblizzard watched the witch vanish and return moments later with a few leaves, it took a lot of effort for the crowned to leave the burr alone and not make the tangle worse. Her paws fidgeted on the snow covered ground as Earlybloom smeared the gooey chewed up leaves into her thick pelt, it felt horrid but she remained in place. "Ow, ow." Her eyes screwed shut when the she-cat started to tease the fur around the burr lose, until finally it way laying beside them on the ground.
"Phew, thank you Earlybloom, I probably made it worse from trying to get it out myself." Her ears grew warm as she spoke when a thought suddenly came to her. "Is all my fur still there?" She wasn't worried about her appearance but its length and thickness meant it would take a long time to grow back.
(Should we invite Consuela in on this?? Als I struggled to figure out how I wanted to reply to this with my grumpy, stuckup, trying-to-be-emotionless she-cat)
Off in a nearby snow patch, Wintrystar rested her head upon her paws. The she-cat had been up for hours, seeing over the day musts of the clan and making sure everything ran smoothly. Leading WinterClan wasn't what she'd envisioned for her future, but it was becoming second nature. It had taken quite some time to move past the disappearances of their past leadership figures and the loss of Mistyviel. Seeking new guidance, leadership, and command of the clan had left many lost and confused. With luck, Wintrystar had enough influence from by her uncle to receive the position. one she would hold with an iron claw.
While, Wintrystar is no dictator, she is the Sovereign of the clan and would not do for any rule breakers. Many cat shad called her a stiff in the wind, a frozen stuck up or even a grinch. She'd take the insults as long as she had the respect of the people. And she did, for the most part.
Hearing a commotion near the Witch's den, her mint green eyes searched for the noise that had disturbed her peaceful afternoon.

( yes! But it won't let me tag her )
Earlybloom laughed softly, "your fur is still intact, mostly. You can't tell you had a tangle." The Witch had decided very quickly upon first meeting Stormyblizzard that she liked her, the deputy possessed a quality that Earlybloom couldn't name but knew it would inspire the loyalty of their clanmates. To her, that was vital for these dark times. She didn't, honestly, get the same feel from Wintrystar. Though Earlybloom could see that she would lead WinterClan into a better time, there was something about her that intimidated Earlybloom. It made her feel cautious.
As she had that thought, her gaze fixed onto Wintrystar on a patch of snow, watching them. This was her chance to get to know both the Sovereign and Crowned together, and for the clan to see them all interact. Seizing it, she turned to Stormyblizzard, "would you like to join Wintrystar? I can grab Chestnutpaw and perhaps we can all chat? It might do us good to spend some time all together."
Chestnutpaw stumbled slightly out of the Witch's den, lapping at the air as the unpleasant taste of herbs that stained her tongue. She shuddered outloud, shaking her pelt before prancing towards her mentor, her eyes bright but lost in deep concentration " So I finished organizing the stock of herbs we have and we seem to be low on Sage, Poppy Seeds and-" Chestnutpaw stopped talking as soon as she realized too late that the Crowned was standing along side her mentor, having been much to focused on her words. "Oh! Hello Stormyblizzard!" She perked up cheerfully, her pale green eyes bright with new excitement at the sight of the Crowned.
"That sounds like a good idea, Earlybloom." She purred in agreement, as she began to turn to head towards Wintrystar she paused, Chestnutpaws voice catching her attention. "Hello, Chestnutpaw. You seem like you've been a busy bee this morning."
