Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Pandora was wild and untamed. A light giggle seemed to escape her as the soon-to-be warrior skipped onto SunClan territory. The scent of the mansion clung to her pelt, and her very spirit seemed to draw in the light to her, warming the freshly fallen snow in the pattern of her paws. Her green gaze seemed to almost glow as she walked, but something about it all felt entirely off.
Maybe it was that she seemed to have snapped into this state, when days prior she was on the verge of murdering her own clanmates, it seemed. But regardless, she just gave off a dangerous sort of air that suggested maybe cat should run far, far away.
Sunset had gone out to sit and look out at the other lands. She'd agreed to learn the Sun God's ways willingly, as she was concerned with Foxstar... and Foxstar had already made a whole point of giving her a new name, and informing everyone who could hear that Burningstar of NightClan was going to be initiated in the ways of the sun.
So, she wasn't exactly going to be able to go anywhere. So she figured she might as well enjoy it. She did so love learning about a new culture.
A shiver went down her spine when Pandora neared her spot, making Sunset look up the ginger she cat cocking her head to consider the cat that was nearing her.
She hadn't seen Pandora much... but she did distantly recall seeing Pandora around Glowstar and Foxstar. Was this their daughter?
Despite her presence making her want to run, perhaps it was a family trait, Foxstar sometimes gave her that feeling too, it took some getting used to. Sunset didn't move and instead lifted her tail in greeting.
"Hello! It's a rather nice cool day," Sunset noted. The sun half hidden by some clouds. The typically nocturnal cat appreciating the intermittent breaks from the blinding light. "You're Glowstar and Foxstar's daughter correct?" She asked. Foxstar wasn't being much of a parent lately, and she hadn't seen Glowstar around either. Which was a shame, she would love to enjoy this initiation with her friend.
The air seemed to warm strangely around Sunset as she neared, an uncomfortable change that seemed downright unnatural as green eyes trained themselves on her. "Depends on who wants to know. They aren't exactly much good mothers, are they?"
Sunset tilted her head glancing around trying to discern the source of the sudden change in heat. That was odd, it hadn't been this warm earlier. Perhaps the Sun God was around, she'd heard he could affect the temperatures around him.
"Oh, it's Burningstar... or well, Sunset." She chuckled weakly. "Have to remember to say that name.
Then Sunset considered the comment. "Truthfully I don't know. I know Foxstar isn't being a particularly good mother right now, which is a shame, her kits are darling. And then Glowstar, I don't know many of her kits to say." She frowned. "But since you bring it up, I take it they're not giving you what you need huh?" She said sitting down by Pandora.

Pandora's lilting laugh held notes of mockery in it. "Oh, they never have. They are self-absorbed creatures who care for nothing but their own petty squabbles. Can't even put it aside at the Sun God's command." Her tone was light and airy, despite the harsh words with their underlying bitterness. "And I can't keep waiting for them to kiss and make up, because they never will. The end is near, and they don't even care to pay attention enough to realize."
Sunset looked concerned. "I'm so sorry they weren't there for you." She sighed and looked away. "I know how hard it can be when your parents aren't there for you." She said softly.
She rested her tail on Pandora's shoulder. "But you're not alone you know. I know it's hard that Glowstar and Foxstar are at odds and not getting along, but you are important. Important to your clanmates, which we are... or well...yeah kinda." It was complicated being technically the NightClan leader and now an initiate of SunClan. "Sorry the terminology is a bit complicated, but that's beside the point! The point is if you need someone to listen, or help you with your problem, I'm happy to offer my assistance." She said looking at Pandora.

"You are considerate, but there is nothing that can be done. This is between the Sun God, my parents, and myself. What will happen has already been written in stone. You would be wise to leave for your own sake." The name Burningstar was one which she could recall. The NightClan she-cat who had made friends with her parents. This was their first meeting, but truly, the apprentice didn't know how such a cat ended up with the likes of Glowstar and Foxstar. "You don't deserve the dangers their sins will bring." It was cryptic, but Pandora seemed to know exactly what she was talking about, her entire train of thought a foreboding string that seemed to point to an uncertain future.
"If there's one thing I've learned from Glowstar, it's to not run from something or drive it out just because something seems scary..." Sunset said softly. Though she frowned at her words. "I know there are a lot of dangers being with your parents, and even from them at times. Especially Foxstar," She let out a sigh, recalling Foxstar's colorful threats towards her friends and family.
"Is talking cryptically a trait you got from the Sun God or is it something you enjoy. Because, it sounds like you're just resigned." Sunset noted. "And that's not fair. I don't know what it's like to be the child born from a gods might and gifted to two she cats to raise, but you shouldn't have to pay for your parents mistakes..."
She wondered if since Glowstar and Foxstar were so absent, the Sun God had actually raised Pandora more. And if that was the case, why Pandora spoke so much like a cat from StarClan.
Pandora looked to be about ready to become a warrior, but she deserved to enjoy some of the perks of being an apprentice for a little longer.
"It sounds like you have a lot weighing you down huh?" Sunset said. "Why don't we do something fun, has your mother Glowstar ever taken you to any parties?" She asked, a bemused glint in her eye. She remembered how much fun she'd had with Glowstar at a party and she imagined it could be something fun she could show Pandora to help take her mind off whatever gloom and doom was dragging her down. "They're quite enjoyable, and I'm sure if we put our heads together and go traipse around twolegplace a bit we could find one." She said.

"It is not I who pay for their sins." Pandora answered in response, though she did ever so slightly smile at the cryptic comment. "That would be a much more pleasant destiny than the one laid before me."
Truthfully, no, she'd never been to a party. She'd spent most of her kithood trying to bring her parents together, and most of her apprenticeship with her sister, and occasionally Duskslayer. The memories attached to him were painfully bland, knowing there had been emotion there now drained, either from lack of ability to try and hold on, or perhaps against her will, she couldn't really tell anymore.
"I doubt I have much time left to enjoy such simply pleasures. May as well indulge in one thing I haven't experienced." She'd spent her youth for others, perhaps she could take this one last moment to be selfish. The thought sparked a touch of guilt in her heart, though it was overshadowed by a flash of curiosity. It faded quickly to a lingering emotion, dull and almost nonexistent, but compared to nothingness, it was enough to push her forward.
Sunset frowned sadly, "They really haven't been around you enough." Poor Pandora. But it made the ginger she cat straighten up. "Right! I do recall where the last party Glowstar took me to was, we'll start there!" She beckoned for Pandora to follow with her tail "Come along, the sun will going down soon, and then as the night begins we can find some fun for the night."
Sunset was almost giddy at the thought of being out and about during night time. She'd been stuck adjusting to being awake and alert during the day. But she did so miss the crisp cool nights, and the dim lighting, and how the moon turned things into shades of silver. It had been nice to spend so much time awake during the day, but she craved a reprieve of some midnight fun.

Pandora considered the fact they'd end up missing the Evening Prayer, and the meal associated with it. But truly, she didn't quite feel like praising the deity who'd made her destiny one of destruction due to neglect and the wrath of two cats he should have known would never get along. "Lead the way." She commented simply, her auburn-cinnamon fur and iridescent eyes that were too close to both the leaders she'd been created to resemble swaying with the touch of the breeze as she padded after the Initiate.
Sunset did just that leading the way towards the border and crossing over it as the sun began to dip beyond the horizon the shadows stretching along.
"Oh, what's your favorite prey by the way? The party Glowstar and I went to last time had lots of different prey and different foods to try! We should try to find something to bring!" She said waving her tail. "It'll open up doors for us for sure!" She purred as she followed the SunClan border heading towards DayClan's territory. She remembered how to get there from DayClan's land so she figured it best she go from there.

"I don't really have a favorite." Pandora commented. "Never had the chance to really think about it." That was truly sad to think, and she indeed seem baffled by the fact that cats even had favorites. Between everything in her life, prey had just become what was available, or what was easy to catch. She hadn't really put in the effort to think of it. "Whatever is fine, I suppose."
Sunset frowned. She hadn’t had a chance to think about it? While some cats didn’t have a favorite per say. It was because it was hard to pick. Had no one asked Pandora or taken the time to enjoy a good meal with her to try and parse out her favorite? She knew Fierypaw liked birds as she enjoyed plucking off the feathers, Ironjaw had a fondness for rabbit, as did Bonfirespark as that was a meal they often shared. And once her new litter got bigger appetites she’d be trying to find their favorites. It was something she just liked doing and a simple way to demonstrate she cared and listened. Pandora deserved that too. “Well, Fortunately the party has plenty of treats! We can find out what your favorite is. Or you can just enjoy some fun of trying new things! Even if you don’t know your favorite, that’s okay too! I like a lot of different prey, but I do like rabbit as it’s easy to share.” Sunset said “But you should always be open to trying new things, there’s much to discover you know? You never know what you might find!” She said pausing as they reached where SunClan’s territory ended and DayClan’s border was nearby. She gestured with her paw to the lands beyond. “There’s exciting things out there, and dangerous too, but you should go forth with an open mind but be trained to defend yourself. Don’t be like me, I don’t always look where I leap,” Sunset said voice light though there was a history to those words. And the scar on her throat and side from the wounds that had cost her two lives were the marks of that history. But it didn’t dampen the excitement in Sunset’s eyes as she looked at Pandora.
