Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Just as nights before, Silverstar took some time for himself to clear his mind. This time, his chosen place was by the river, where the flowing water had a calming effect on him. A lot had happened over the past few moon phases - the naming of a new deputy, medicine cat and their apprentice. Despite all that, he felt a weight lift off of him when he took on Nightwish as his second. Despite being an outsider before, the Moon Goddess saw something in her and chose her for the role. Admittedly, though, he took a liking for the she-cat ever since they first met. A slight smile spread across his face as the memories resurfaced from all of their time spent together. But it was short lived as the feeling of being alone began to fade.
Autumngossamer groaned, her pelt was soaking wet and around her head a tiara of seaweed and twigs. She had slipped into the stream and had come out on the other side. Truthfully, she just wanted some herbs from MoonClan. The way she saw it was if she took herbs from MoonClan it would be less for them. Plus she was technically a medicine cat so it was within her right to do so. Autumngossamer brushed herself off before noticing Silverstar. She instantly straightened herself up and tipped her seaweed tiara in place as though this were an accessory she always wore, "A MoonClan warrior I presume?" She said elegantly, apparently never encountering Silverstar to know that he was the leader of the clan.
Silverstar was skeptical of the stranger, as he is with any newcomer, but offered her a friendly smile befor answering her question. "MoonClan's leader, actually," he responded before rising to his paws and offered help. "I am Silvertar and you might be?"
Autumngossamer tilted her head into a side ways grin, her claw in her teeth. So this was the leader of MoonClan? He looked like every other cat, not like Foxstar, you could see her in a crowd, feel her behind you, she was the spotlight of every entertainment. But this guy, he looked like another average MoonClan cat to her. She retreated her claw out from past her lips, "Autumngossamer of DayClan, medicine cat," She said pressing her lips into a tight, insincere smile. It wasn't a lie, she was originally of DayClan before moving to SunClan, but she figured she'd get further with this exchange if she lied and said she was DayClan.
Ah, another DayClan cat, eh? "So what brings you here, Autumngossamer?" he asked her. Looking her over, she didn't appear to be a threat to him, but something inside was urging him to be wary of her. Something didn't right but he couldnt quite place it. If his knowledge of the territories served him right, she was a ways off from DayClan territory, but from his experience from meeting Glowstar, their cats dont seem to be hostile, despite being part of that alliance.
"Ohhh, just going down the usual shopping list," She purred, "Um. Mints, water mints, borage, borage leaves, roots, prunes?" She said almost questioningly before shaking her head, "The point is there's quite a lot I gotta look around for. Honestly any herbs that are here are probably on my list. SunClan had a heat wave, you know how it is there, so we're low on our own supply," She lied with a fake smile. She was pretty sure he wouldn't know for certain that she was lying. Sure she made up most of those herbs... Or maybe they were real. But most warriors didn't know the names of them to correct her or if they didn't recognize the name they would just assume it was knowledge they didn't know. The perks really. Although truthfully she didn't really use herbs per say, that was the high priestesses job, she just used it as an excuse to go walk on other cats turf. Plus Foxstar probably wouldn't mind if she dropped off herbs for her.
The name of the herbs didnt register but he nodded. But then a mental alarm went off at the mention of SunClan and his wariness grew. "Why are you here?" he asked again, his fur beginning to prickle with hostility. "There are closer territories you could have went to for what you needed." If his encounter with Glowstar taught him anything it was that he should be more cautious of cats and not make assumptions.
"Uh, cause SunClan's not an option, I already have all the herbs I can get from DayClan and then I just really hate NightClan, forests too dark to find anything, I'd rather not rely on my nose and come here so here I am," She shrugged.
That wasnt very convincing, he thought, but dismissed it. What's the worst she could do alone if she was here with ill intent? "I suppose," he replied relaxing a bit. "You can find what you need nearby."
"Perfecto," She purred walking past Silverstar, her tail tip playfully bobbing up and down, it was an odd feeling wearing none of SunClan's traditional paint, but it would have been a dead give away had she not cleaned it off of herself. An idea came into her mind though, "You know, I can read a cats fortune if you're interested," She said passively as Autumngossamer ventured forward into MoonClan, her gaze catching against no particularly plant like she was merely browsing what MoonClan had available.
The mention of fortune piqued his interest. He followed behind her. "Is that right?" he questioned. His curiosity was getting the best of him, but that same feeling that told him to be wary was just as persistent as before. He ignored it for the most part. "What does my fortune say about me?"
"Well, first I have to gather 5 stones and they will tell me your future," She explained, her claws picking up some stones as she trekked across the forest. When she came up with two she stopped walking with him placing them in a diamond like shape, one in the middle, "What would you like to know?" Autumngossamer purred.
"Anything and everything," he said plainly. He wondered how true her "fortune-telling" was or was she feeding him lies. "What are you able to tell me?"
She took some mud and gently fixed each stone with a rune symbol, "I can tell you the weather, but about yourself I could tell you how many kits you'll have, what your lover will be like, read your next impending doom, your life line, that sort of thing," Autumngossamer explained wondering if any interested him in knowing.
"Tell me what you can about me." But for the most part he felt he could answer those questions himself but he wondered if he mighty have be wrong. "And this doesnt have any adverse effect on me or my clan, right?"
"Shh shh shh, darling let the master do her work," She said with intense sassy inflections. With a stretch of her paws she picked up her rune stones, "Will Silverstar live a long life?"
She threw the stones, three landed face down, "You'll live an average life," She said before looking him up and down, "Hope that means an average leader life expectancy. Would suck if you died within the same life span as a mortal warrior."
"Will he die soon," Autumngossamer threw the stones once more, but this time they miraculously landed on their sides, "Seems unclear. I suppose this means you have a big decision coming up that will define ev-ry-thing. So be on your toes."
