It was hard but slowly and surely Reprise was learning that the world wasn't, well, a perfect place. There were places and cats, broken and burnt. Torn and ripped apart. Perhaps in her naive ways she had never realized this but since the creamy colored Bengal had joined the League things had come to a... certain change. Perhaps her ambitions were sourced from the belief that every soul had good intent but she had yet to realize every cat was broken in a way. Instead, the she-cat found herself wandering outside of the League's territory, humming quietly to herself. This was her only escape and even though she had been sent with a purpose - chat with the local rogues, she almost felt free and happy.
Something Reprise didn't tell many cats was that she was a wonderful singer. Back in the old times, when she and her siblings used to live together, she would sing and perform all the time. Since then, she had hardly sung. But now that she was alone... or so she thought, she couldn't help but sing. Her voice was soft, honey-smooth and slowly as her confidence grew, it became louder and louder. Forgetting she was meant to be talking to Rogues and that there were probably quite a few dangerous rogues nearby, that would love to kill her for the heck of it, she continued to sing, she padded slowly onwards. A smile grew on her face. She had not sung like this in ages, and it made her feel so good.
The afternoon sun slowly sunk, as the she-cat sat down to rest. She had been walking all day and her paws wore sore. It was a long walk back home to the League. Humming quietly, she lay down and glanced up at the trees around her. Everything was so peaceful; no one bothered her. No one yelled at her. No one laughed at her. No one looked at her in pity. She was truly free. For now, that was...
Silas had no worries or responsibilities except to himself. No one to look after, he could come and go as he pleased, with no one to tell him otherwise, or so he thought. Lately he had heard of this group of cats that had referred to themselves as 'The League' whatever that was. He didn't particularly care for the affairs of other cats unless it effected it, which this very well might. The rumors were that this 'League' sent cats out to keep cats like him in check, something he didn't agree with.
He hadn't been expecting to actually run into one of them though, and he was... surprised to say the least. She was laying down, when the large tom approached, something inside him told him that it would be better not to scare her. She didn't seem hostile and there was no need to make an enemy of her for no reason.
"Enjoying the night?" he asked calmly, moving to stand beside her. Silas towered over her but, he tried not to look too intimidating.

Reprise's soft humming broke off in a heartbeat as the calm voice of an unidentified tom washed over her, it seemed calm and unthreatening, but Reprise opened her eyes with a flash, green irises blinking in the dark. What met those irises was a tomcat, shadowed by the darkness of the night and covered in a strange smell. Probably a rogue or loner, Reprise quickly concluded. Sighing, she pinned her eyes on his, examining him. She supposed she might as well gather some information from him while he was here... If not just to say to her brother the job was complete and some information, useful or not, had been gathered.
With a soft purr, Reprise rose to her paws. "Quite so." She meowed, her words carefully collected, her tone very polished and professional sounding. "You?" She inquired, fixing her gaze on his.
