Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Pumpkin Cat bid farewell to October and bounded down the street, turning a corner and padding into the tree and out into the forest. The birds were chirping and a mouse scampered by, but he continued without interest. This morning he'd gorged himself on kibble left by a twoleg and wasn't yet hungry again. The forest was cool and shaded, exciting. The day stretched before him and he paused, unsure of what to do with the rest of the day. Hunting was a no. Maybe he'd go sniffing around the Forest Clans? He sat and licked his lips absent-mindedly, considering.
Starmie had been lounging on her fence when she caught movement out of the corner of her eye. At first, she believed it to be a squirrel or a bird, then when she looked she found a cat. The calico's mind immediately went to the forest cats, oh how she hated them. Them flea infested scavengers! Didn't they know better by now to not come around their fences? "Hey!" Starmie called out to the cat, now sitting on her fence, tail twitching in irritation. All she could see of the cat was their back, hard to tell if it was a forest act that came around a lot and that she knew their names, or a newbie.

[ yep ]
Before he was lost to the draw of the forest he heard some cat call him. Confused, the tom turned and left the trees once again, retracing his steps for only a moment before he was standing below a fence staring at a rather angry looking she-cat. "Hey yourself," he replied with a friendly wave of his tail, sitting on the ground as he'd been doing in the trees and looking up at her. "What can I do for you?"
Why did this cat seem angry with him? Was walking past a fence some kind of offense now?
"Who do you think you are coming around here! Forest cats should stay away. They're not welcome here and never will be!" She didn't recognize the tom and thus yelled at him. Nothing new if you knew Starmie. She hadn't anything outside of her little bubble, including venturing outside her fence. The she-cat hardly even wanted to come outside! It was only the warmth of the sunshine that would drive her from her twolegs' nest.

"Forest cat?" The plump orange and white cat stared at her for a moment before chuckling, "I'm not no forest cat! I'm a kittypet. I'm just wanderin' off a little." This cat was kind of a grump, he decided. But he wasn't one to walk away from any cat, even a grouchy one. "What's wrong with forest cat anyway? The won't hurt a decent cat like me or you."
(So sorry I got busy with school and couldn't find time to get on, even for a few minutes.)
Starmie stared, appalled that this kittypet would want to roam around. The galls of these cats nowadays. Her mother would have had her by the scruff and in the nest if she entertained the idea! "Won't.. won't hurt a cat like me? Child, did your mother not teach you better? Forest cats only come here trying to steal our yardmates, to whisk them off to the forest and make them believe that life is so much better. It's a death sentence! Who would ever want to live in that filth place tehy call home! Surrounded by animals of all kinds and expected to eat them at that over lovely kibble!"

Pumpkin Cat shrugged, still bright-eyed and happy, "my mother didn't teach me nothin', I'm self taught. And I taught myself that the forest is full of adventure! Who wants to be stuck in a nest all day? I mean sure, milk is good and those little treats that are soft and smell like chicken are out of this world, but fresh mouse! You haven't lived till you've tasted that." He hadn't, in fact, ever tasted fresh mouse. But, he'd found one with a few bites from it in the forest and tried it. It was alright but he wasn't going to admit he preferred kibble.
