Calamityshrine watched carefully as the apprentices trained. They were learning quickly, and it impressed him. He knew Splashpaw probably wished she was with them. The deputy's mouth formed a half-frown for a moment as he thought about the former Waterclan apprentice. It had been a while since he checked up on their small group. Were they happy in Fallclan? He hoped so... What was there not to like? It smelled yummy, shined like amber and gold, and the cats were all so friendly! "I should go check on the others in camp and make sure everyone is doing alright." He told himself and rose to his paws. He shook off a few scraps of leaves that clung to his coat and began making his way towards the camp.
Rainbowsong had sat down to clean off some leaves that had gotten tangled into her calico fur while she'd been chasing the rabbit she'd caught. She paused in her cleaning to eye Calamityshrine. After Bijou's abysmal failure at leadership, Rainbowsong felt less than certain of outsiders than ever before. And Calamityshrine.
But she wasn't about to make her disdain clear, instead she put on a fake smile. "Hello Calamityshrine, so nice to see you, how are you?" She asked sweetly.

Calamityshrine had not expected anyone to speak to him. To be honest, he was aware of the distrust in some of his clanmate's eyes and had gotten used to only being spoken to when needed. "Oh, hey thereeeeeeeeeeeeeee, uh... Rainbowsong! Yeah, that's it, right? I'm doing wonderful! Well, except not having much to do at the moment. Didja need something?" His voice was cheery, yet smooth. He wasn't one to be unfriendly unless there was a reason.
