Cadet Liam picked away at his herb pile, sorting the ones that had grown dry from the recent cold front into a separate pile. He frowned a little at the amount of catmint that had been ruined. That was one thing they were going to need now that it was starting to get cold. He knew Chaman Meepo wouldn't fret when he informed him. That cat always seemed to find the good in everything. He shook his head, half in wonder, half in confusion. How could any cat be that positive all the time?
The Raiser Superior moved through the tunnels without pause. She seemed to always be busy, which often raised the question of when she would retire as a Raiser herself for a few moons. Cats began to notice the purge of her belly, but despite the fact that her job was to take care of the mothers and tykes of the regime, she seemed oblivious to it.

The bracken-furred cadet glanced up as the sound of pawsteps interrupted his worried thoughts. His eyes met the slightly plump form of Roon and Liam tilted his head curiously. If anyone had mentioned her being pregnant before, he couldn't recall it. Although, he was usually drowned in his work and quite absent from reality. As long as there was a cure to be found for Lotta he would be busy. "Superior Roon." Cadet Liam called out in his usual soft-spoken, but serious, voice.
“Hello, Cadet Liam.” Purred the feline. Roon was known to be quite a sweet cat, which was shocking considering how much she’d been through in her lifetime. “Everything going well here?” Of course she was smart enough to know he was working himself to death for Lotta. Everyone knew.

He shuffled his paws a little, embarrassed for a moment that he had called her attention for such a probably trivial thing. "Well, I just noticed that a lot of our catmint supplies has been ruined. I'm concerned we won't have enough for the winter moons." He spoke so maturely for his age. It was something he had picked up from Fjord, for sure.
“They have..? Oh dear...” Roon murmured softly as she stood there staring at the tom. “We have to find a way to remedy this problem. Perhaps another group might share their store... I will speak to the commander and then set on a journey to one of the groups.” In reality, she was in no shape to be making any kind of journey. The feline was far too pregnant to be going anywhere outside the tunnels. It was a wonder that Meepo hadn’t said something to her by now. Perhaps he hadn’t because he was unsure how she’d react to the news.
Roon knew though. Deep inside. Why she was ignoring it, was unknown.

Cadet Liam's eyes widened for a moment and he shuffled his paws awkwardly. It wouldn't be right for Roon to journey far, but he struggled with the words to tell her. Surely Meepo would have said something? But then again, sometimes the little tom was a bit on the ditsy side... "If you don't mind me saying, Superior Roon," He started with a shy glance up at her, "I think it would be good to send a different raiser or guider to retrieve the catmint."
Her brows furrowed as she heard the tom’s words. Roon turned to look at him and spoke with a confused tone. “Why would I send another? Shouldn’t it be the superior who goes and asks for help from another group or clan? It’s only respectful and more likely we will get it.” Her eyes searched his face, no sign that she seemed to know his intention.
