Ghostpaw let out a massive yawn as he carried on with his training. He had been sent to practice a few offensive moves with a sturdy tree in the training area, but he wondered if the tree might just have him beat. His thoughts wandered to his brother, Umbrahound, who had recently been promoted. He hoped being a warrior was all he hoped it would be. Ghostpaw had always been more concerned with the well-being of his siblings rather than his own, which was why he was a bit behind on his training.
"Heya Ghostpaw," Squirrelleap meowed padding up to his adoptive son. "How's it going?" He asked noting the marks on the tree and letting out a soft sound of approval. "Ah, Fernshadow's got you working on some offense huh?"
He'd passed Fernshadow training with Blazepaw a ways away. Or working him through a spell. Squirrelleap felt sorry for the ginger apprentice, having such difficulties was rough, but at least Fernshadow was patient.
Though it meant Ghostpaw was on his own.
"Wanna try some on me?" Squirrelleap offered. "It's a lot tougher on a real cat." He added lightly. "So it'll be good practice to take your now precise aim and deal with the slipperiness of a real opponent."

Ghostpaw's ears pricked and he met his adoptive father with a soft smile. "That would be wonderful. Fernshadow is taking a break and unfortunately this tree is too tough for me." He responded with a little laugh. A little bit of nervousness fluttered in his belly. He wanted to make Squirrelleap proud, but offense wasn't his strong suit.
