Pythoncrush bounded out of camp, long brown tail streaming behind him, running as if the whole of the Dark Forest were chasing him. He had a bright, excited look in his eyes and his paws thumped heavily onto the ground as he ran. There was no reason for it. Nothing that scared him or angered him, he was running just to feel free.
It had been two moons since his arrival in DayClan, and most days he loved it. However, there were times when it felt suffocating. When he had another patrol or more hunting but his paws itched to be wondering free. He'd done that often in the twolegplace, he'd just walk until he got bored with that. Then he'd eat or nap or groom himself. There was no structure to it, only a whimsical freedom. But that was over now, he'd chosen DayClan and intended to stick with it.
His solution? Running. He'd just take off and race through the territory until his sides were heaving and he was panting hard. Today he finally slowed down near the border with NightClan, pausing to lap up some water from a puddle and catch his breath.
Somewhere among the jungle of wheat and wild flowers there must have been a root from a long gone bush or tree because Pythoncrush had run right into its path. Suddenly that bump in the path stirred, a soft murmur escaping from the golden lump that now sat upright. Glowstar's ear twitched and her emerald eyes lazily opened, she had one of those gazes that lit up when she smiled. A claw stroked the bottom of her chin as she looked up at Pythoncrush with light amusement, "You sure you weren't born here? All DayClan cats are sooo," She paused, her claw tapping against her chin before the words rolled off her tongue and into a slow smile, "Addicted. With running," She finished.
She stretched, her eye contact and graceful movement could send beloved chills down almost anyone's spine, "No worries about it though, I had a good moon of not getting run over by someone, I knew it would be too good to be true eventually."

The dark brown tom had yowled in surprise when he ran over Glowstar, shocked to see the leader of the clan he called home in front of him. He wasn't especially noteworthy and would admit readily that he was easily forgettable, not having spoken much to any cat since joining, especially the leader he was required and expected to respect.
"I am so very sorry, Glowstar," Pythoncrush panted, ears flat against his head. "forgive me, I was being to reckless." When she didn't appear angry he managed a chuckle of amusement at her words, "perhaps it is a compliment of your skill in camouflage?" Truly he hadn't even see the she-cat in his path.
Glowstar rose up and when she did it was easy to see how she blended in. Grass stained green streaks were spread throughout and the way she lied in the field allowed for the wildflowers to still spread out from beneath her leaving hardly a bald patch in the open field for any cat to notice and avoid, "Being reckless is risky," Glowstar warned, "And being risky is the only way for drastic changes to be made so it's a good trait, wield it well. Maybe you'll run over some bad people in your life next time and it'll be worth it."
Glowstar simply flopped back down, rolling over only a few feet and once more planted herself down, "For me, I just like staring up at the blue sky, cloud gazing. Doesn't tire me out like running does."
