[[ i went ahead and just made a new thread oops. @dreamrain paoPhantom and syzygy who I couldn't tag??? ]]
Tundrakit blinked open his eyes, the watery image of the den slowly coming into focus. He was curled up with his littermates with Stormsurge was sleeping in a nest next to them. She always did that, the small kitten had noticed. She would feed them and then leave them to sleep alone in the nest. None of the other queens did that. Of course, they'd only just opened their eyes yesterday and maybe the other queens did do it and he hadn't noticed.
Shrugging the thoughts away he stood and stretched, toppling over after a few heartbeats. He stared down at his littermates and prodded each one with his paw. "Come on," he mewed, "let's wake Stormsurge up for breakfast."

Northkit had been sleeping soundly when she felt a paw poking into her side, the she-cats eyes fluttered open and took in the blurry form of Tundrakit who was standing over her and the rest of their siblings who were still sleeping. "Why did you wake me up, I have having such a good dream." She grumbled as she sat up, her thick pelt sticking out in all directions.
He was dreaming of many things. Of butterflies. Colorful colorful butterflies. He was jumping around, tail wiggling and nose twitching. But his dream was quickly interrupted, and he jerked his head up. The ole eyed tom huffed grumpily, his eyes looking towards his two siblings who were awake. His lips pressed together as he pushed himself to his paws and shook out his fur. He made his way to Northkit and leaned into her side, eyes watching Tundrakit curiously.
Polarkit tried rolling over, burying himself further into his mother’s side. If she wasn’t awake, why would he be awake? The noise his siblings made kept him awake, sadly. The grumpy kit blinked tiredly at the rest of his litter mates. “What are you awake?”
Arctickit didn’t answer. His eyes were fixed on Tundrakit, and his paws kneeling the ground. As he seen movement he flicked his eyes towards Polarkit. He smiled a little, but said nothing, nor even seemed to hear his littermate.
A smile spread across Northkits face as she felt the pressure of Arctickit against her side, feeling his warmth she leaned into him, her eyes moving back and forth between her littermates for a moment before resting on the sleeping form of their mother. "I don't want to wake her." She whispered. The kits had not had their eyes open for long, but even blind she had felt an unnerving feeling when the queen was near.
“So we’re settled. We’re not waking mom which means we can go back to sleep.” With that said and decided, Polarkit settled himself back into his warm spot. The tom was content to sleep the mornings way as long as he was allowed.
"We are already awake, why don't we go see whats happening outside the nursery." She settled her gaze on Polarkit, tickling his nose with her fluffy tail before he had the chance to fall back asleep.
“Noooo.” The fluffy multi-colored tom whined, rolling over and trying to escape the fluffy tail messing with him. Polarkit, the fluffy ball, shot a glare at his sister.
neverstarstar (Is that okay with you? It may make things a little interesting, I was going to ask if I could make Northkit blind to spice things up a little lol)

(that's fine by me, but Stormsurge is going to be really angry about it and probably really mean lol)
Tundrakit rolled his eyes at his siblings and hopped out of their nest, "come on, I'm hungry!" He began teetering over to Stormsurge before stopping, gazing at their mother asleep just a few rabbit lengths away, "hey...." he mewed uncertainly, "one of you wake her....".
(Adding fuel to the fire! It is my specialty haha)
Northkit turned her head as Tundrakit spoke, her clouded amber eyes on her brother. "Oh no, you are the one who wanted to eat, you wake her." There was no way she was going to do it.
Arctickit, however, couldn’t understand the words coming from his siblings. The only thing he knew? His stomach was rumbling like crazy! So he moved forward confidently and poked at his mother’s teets with his paw, giving a rusty and odd sounding purr as he rubbed against her. Arctickit seemed obvious.

Tundrakit frowned at his brother, silly Arctickit wasn't the most social of the kits, he'd noticed. But he had woken their mother up, so with a loud purr and followed.
Stormsurge opened her eyes when Arctickit poked her, glaring down at the kits as they came over to her. With a small growl she sat up and moved out of reach. "Kits," she began with a dark tone, "in the future you will remain in your nest until told otherwise, understood?" She looked at each kits with a stern look, tail lashing.
Tundrakit paused and then nodded obediently, backing up towards the nest nervously, "yes... momma."
Arctickit blinked at few times. He saw the stern look on her face but was unsure why. He tipped his head to the side a little and then shrugged before dropping down and nosing at her belly, sniffing hungerly. He made an odd whining noise, pawing at her to roll over.
Northkit ears perked as their mothers voice rang out harshly, how could she get back into the nest if she couldn't see it. The she-cat began to walk forward, hoping she was going the right way but instead of finding the nest she bumped into Arctickit who lay at Stormsurges side.

Stormsurge sighed and picked Arctickit up, stepping out of her nest and into theirs. She set down Arctickit and grabbed Northkit and Tundrakit. "Only Aurorakit and Polarkit are not disappointments to me," she hissed, laying down and gathering her kits.
The words stung Tundrakit but he was too hungry to remain upset, instead hurrying over to his mother to feed.
-- just gonna time skip this like half an hour --
Tundrakit was full and his fur was freshly washed by an exasperated Stormsurge, now he wanted a nice nap. But Stormsurge had other plans, "we're going to have some lessons today. Let's start with seeing camp for the first time." Tundrakit's tiny ears pricked and he stood, tail high and excited as his mother gathered his siblings and began ushering them outside.
Stormsurge knew they were perhaps a bit too young to go out into camp, but she wasn't going to be soft on them. They had much to learn and she didn't intend to let them spend each day napping and playing.
He blinked at her with curious eyes, watching her lips move quietly.
Arctickit had fallen asleep while nursing. He was snoring softly, belly full and warm as he snuggled against Stormsurge. Due to being deaf, he didn’t even realize that he wasn’t supposed to be asleep. So he continued snoozing on, dreaming of beetles and ants.
Northkit was hesitant as her mother began to lead them out of the nursery, she couldn't see camp but did her mother realize yet that one of her daughters was blind? Just with a glance the small she-cat looked fairly normal, eyes of amber that if on you made it appear as if she was truly seeing you when in fact she saw only darkness, the only indicator being that if looked upon closely enough was the ever so faint cloudiness within them. "Will we get to see where the warriors sleep?" She asked, playing as if nothing was wrong.
