Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The soft rustling of plants and leaves brought the young she-cat a sense of inner peace as a surprisingly strong gust of wind blew through the large sprawling meadow filled with various of colors and plant life. Being in the fields all day picking herbs for the medicine cats' always gave Dovecloud a humbling and grateful reminder of how great her life was. Despite the hardships the clan was going through, the she-cat knew that she could always find balance and peace in the wildflower meadows. Today, that mindset was particularly needed.
Despite it have been many days since the new broke of their leader's unexpected passing, the sense of mistrust, frustration and confusion continue to grow throughout Summerclan cats. The camp had grown to feel claustrophobic with the never ending whispers of doubt many of the clan cats had in the new leader Gardeniastar, who was a young and inexperienced leader. Her decision to promote a cat whose time in the clan was short only prompted more questions and concerns as to her abilities to lead Summerclan. It was hard for the whispers not to get to Dovecloud, whose own anxiety and overtly concerned nature awoken at the various opinions. It almost became too unbearable, so the escape to the meadows was just what she needed to clear away the clouds of worry that filled her mind and heart.
She was not alone in the meadows. An orange pelt could hardly be recognizable, as the flower stems had seemed to part and engulfed her shape into what seemed to be hidden. The feline had came here to also clear her head, rather aware of the doubts of that her clan mates shared. The whispers were not unheard, and she could feel her own demeanor dropping. It was hurtful, to know how little faith many of them held for her new reign.
So she had found herself in seek of a safe haven, which happened to be the same place that Dovecloud had found as well.
Gardeniastar had even fallen asleep, having been losing much of it already. It was hard to sleep when stress was a mimicking little bird that flew around your head constantly.
After taking in one last, long inhale and exhaling it, Dovecloud rose to her four paws, tranquility clearing her mind immediately as she went on deeper into the meadows, her bright blue orbs searching for some poppies which she knew weren't too far ahead. Instead of poppies, to her surprise, she spotted a patch of a fiery orange coat swallowed up in the grass. Caution was quick to take reign as soon as it was spotted and Dovecloud dropped to her stomach, her eyes widening slightly as she took in the pelt from a distance. Just then, another gust of wind blew towards her, bringing with it a familiar scent.
"Gardeniastar?" Dovecloud spoke up, rising back to her full short statue as she made her way closer to the leader who seemed shocked and jostled from a nap. "Oh I am sorry!" Dovecloud quipped quietly. "I didn't realize you were asleep!" Despite her embarrassed tone, Dovecloud took in the young leader, her concern and worry reflecting brightly in her eyes.
She’d just been on a hill, long grass brushing against her furs as she walked. The fireflies dotted the area, illuminating the way. It was peaceful and pure beauty. The hues of the setting sun were only just visible. The orange had all but faded from the line and had melted into purpled and deep blues. It was truly a sight, but it vanished.
”Gardeniastar?”
Her body jolted, her eyes peeling open in confusion. The leader looked, well, nothing like a leader. In the dream, she’d been stress free and glowing. Now? She looked totally different. “O-oh. Hello, Dovecloud..”
