Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Do you truly believe that?" He asked giving the leader a rather stoic look, if he had been told that as a kit or apprentice things may be different, but now he knew better, he knew the impact others had on one another and on him.
"Yes, I do, or else I wouldn't have said that." he responded rather flatly. "I know it's easier said than done, but it's a starting point." The memories of how his clanmates looked at him when he was chosen to be the next deputy filled his head. Some of them were just glad to have someone fill the role while others were more...unaccepting of the choice. "Perhaps giving you an apprentice will show others your worth?"
Howlingwolfs head swung towards Silverstar, surprise glowing in his eyes. "An apprentice?" He was dumbfounded, he had never considered being a mentor. "I don't know, do you think I would be a good mentor?" It was a serious question, he was loyal to Moonclan and would fight to protect his clanmates even after their treatment of him, but would an apprentice take him seriously and be willing to learn from him.
He smiled. "You'll never know until you try," he replied. "I dont see why you wouldnt make a good mentor. You have plenty to pass onto the younger generation."
Howlingwolf nodded slowly, he was not fully convinced but respected the effort Silverstar was putting into trying to help him where he was not willing to help himself. "Alright, if or when you decide to bestow upon me an apprentice I will accept and put my all into it, not only to prove to myself but the others as well that I am still a Moonclan warrior despite their thoughts of me." He turned back to the lake once again, staring deeply at the water while his mind raced with thoughts of the future.
Silverstar fell silent again, thinking to himself what he was going to say next, if anything, that is. Moving closer to the edge of the water, he stared at his reflection, and it, back at him. He wasnt perfect and he knew it. He couldn't do more to help Howlingwolf with anything and it frustrated him. What good am I if I cant do that he thought as his claws unsheathed and sank into the earth and his fur began to stand on end. Feeling he was losing himself, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, taking in the surrounding scent. It was calming and put him at ease. Turning to the warrior, he finally said, "Shall we head back now?"
