@encre Pale streaks of light were filtered through the falling leaves of Sunclan's territory. Sometimes you could get a decent sunning spot in the nursery if you were lucky and one of the queens didn't take it, but Burningkit never bothered trying for it. It was so much easier to sneak out and find a nice warm rock to lay on. No matter how many times his mother berated him, the young orange tom never seemed to listen. He wasn't that far, all things considered, much closer to camp than usual. So really, he should only eat like two herbs if he was caught. But he wasn't gonna let them catch him this time.
Cedarkit had not meant to get out of camp. It had been an accident, he had just found a little tunnel in the rock wall and wanted to see were it was. Now he was lost. Eyes that were still kitten blue peered nervously around. This was so strange. He had been watched over like a hawk by his mother who was like his mother but she wasn’t his real mother. It was nice though, living in the clan as he never had to worry about being hungry or cold. His first memory was of being cold and hungry. Now he feared he would be lost forever and would starve to death. His heart jumped as he spotted a ginger shape not to far away. So he did what any terrified kit would do and bounded over to it.

Burningkit rolled over just in time to spot a shape charging towards him. The large ginger kit shot to his feet and stumbled backwards, losing his balance and tumbling off the rock. One backwards somersault later and he was staring up at the upside-down figure of a kit in front of him. His heart would have jumped to his throat, but the smell of Sunclan calmed his nerves as he rolled back over to his paws. His olive-green eyes narrowed, recognizing the kit but not remembering their name. Pelt smoothing down, Burningkit hopped back up on his rock, pulling his feet back underneath him. "Ehhhhh...... uhhhhh.....whatcha doin'?"
Cedarkit stopped just short of Burningkit. "Oh hi, good, I'm lost. I found a little tunnel in the wall of camp and it ended here and I panicked and I got lost and I don't know what to do." He barely took a breath until he finished speaking. The brown tom did not want to get into trouble, he did not mean to and this was so bad. He remembered that sneaking out of camp was one of the few things he was not supposed to do. It should not have been hard for him to stay out of trouble, but so far all he managed to do was get in trouble. Cedarkit feared the Sun God would come and get him if he did not behave better.

"A tunnel, huh? You'll have to show me." Burningkit's tail flicked behind him as excitement once again rushed through him. He hadn't found that yet and anything he could use to get out of camp was appreciated. He was never particularly worried about any consequences or punishments from the Sun God. If he wanted to punish Burning, he should have by now. Also not giving him such an indomitable spirit. Really, this was his fault. Not that Burning minded. "What? Are you gonna run back to camp now that you finally got out of that prison?" It was a genuine question, even if his tone was a little taunting.
